Whatever people had been watching got interrupted once the Crymorah Syndicate's skilled KnowOnes slicing collective managed to takeover relay stations from everyone between the Outer Rim and the very galactic Core. Instead of a handsome news anchor everyone would be looking at the infamous gunslinger they recognized as Preef Callo. He just stood there, in a room, some might recognize as the throneroom of the former Hutt palace on Nar Shaddaa where the rodian had shot the live-broadcast of a Hutticide not too long ago.
Once the surprise settled, the rodian smiled. "Dear people of the known galaxy," the camera panned out a bit to show a large holo-projector behind the Crymorah boss. "For years your planets have suffered from a horrible infection set loose by the Hutt Cartel-" he paused to spat on the floor, "The Zaa Fenn protected the billions on the Smuggler's Moon as well as we could, but while we waited for the Jedi, the Sith or the Sector Rangers to prevent the Hutts from continuing to use the AMS virus as a weapon they seemed more intent to squabble amongst themselves. As always."
"Meanwhile," the holo-projector came to live and showed the army of infected that guarded Durr the Hutt's palace. Then it switched to rather vivid up-close footage of the infected roaming the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa. "The Hutts continued to spread the virus. There was talk of vaccines, but none ready for production, allowing Durr the Hutt the spread this horrible virus further and further." the anger over the injustice and the disproportionate infection rates on the poor independent Outer Rim planets was clearly something Preef was very passionate about.
"Today we decided to take matters into our own hands," the projector switched to images of an unrecognizable Ines, the mercenary Aska and the Zaa Fenn Enforcer Gareth Gin. "These three. Ines, Aska and Gareth. They did what so many said was impossible. They killed Durr the Hutt in the name of justice." He let the viewers at home soak in the names and appearances of the legendary Huttslayers for a moment. "Look now at the one responsible for the death of your loved ones, of the near-extinction of entire planets-" the three legendary Huttslayers disappeared from view and were replaced with a still of the wounded Durr as he lay on the floor of his penthouse on Nal Hutta. "and be brave enough for them to see justice delivered."
The still started moving and showed how Durr the Hutt met his end as Aska cut open his throat and said words that would no doubt return in the Holomovies they'd make of her life:
As the scene ended and paused on the image of a dead Hutt in a pool of his own blood, the camera panned back to Preef. "The Hutt's palace and the virus stockpiled within have been destroyed as well. The 'Legends of Nar Shaddaa' saw to that." the image of the dead Hutt was replaced by the stills of the three heroes; Gareth, Aska and Ines and the camera focused on them.
Off-camera, Preef Callo seemed content. Sometimes he had felt alone in the spotlight or in his quest to protect people from the AMS virus. He had abandoned his ambitions for his droid army and his immense wealth and was using it all to ensure the levels of infected on Nar Shaddaa could not rise any further. Maybe soon he would start to listen to Shere Cann again and try to have Morata Corporation uphold their deal to give him his rights on the vaccine patent. The only thing he knew for sure is that he didn't want to kill for it, or burn the corporation down to get it. He'd find a peaceful way to get his credits..
