Description: The Jx-2 is a brutal weapon. Rather than firing conventional munitions such as blaster bolts or slugs, the Jx-2 is a flechette weapon, meaning that if fires small, razor sharp, super heated blades of durasteel. It is a short range weapon, rapidly losing accuracy and killing power at any sort of medium or long range. However at short range it is known to be brutal and effective. Its ability to penetrate light and medium armor is good at short range, but with thick, heavy armors it is ineffective. The weapon is designed to be used at close range against unarmored or lightly armored targets. Its intended use is for robberies, raids on competitors and assassination where a statement is to be made. At close range the wounds from the Jx-2 are vicious. They combine heat, blades and high velocity projectiles in to one lethal package. The wounds caused by the weapon are known to be a mix of severe soft tissue damage, 3rd degree burns, and deep, jagged lacerations at the points of entry and exit. At point blank range, the force of the weapon alone are enough to knock a hostile combatant off their feet with a single shot, even if wearing heavy armor, but such stopping power comes at a cost. The weapons recoil is infamous, and since it lacks a stock, recoil control is difficult except when used by exceptionally strong individuals. The weapon is semi automatic, with 5 flechette canisters in a single box magazine. 10 round custom magazines are available, yet uncommon as they are significantly heavier and negate the weapons conceal-ability. Small enough to be effectively hidden under a jacket or disassembled within ones pant leg.

An anti-Force user weapon, for sure. Can't deflect Flechettes with a lightsaber (though you can vaporise them), and the sheer number and unpredictability of them being fired at you means it's far harder to cope with, particularly since they can ricochet and cause small wounds on contact...
