Dromund Kaas Sith Academy

Ailis looked down at the academy campus from the vantage point of a transport shuttle that she had arrived in. She had barely managed to scrape by, between normal and remedial classes, but she had finally been admitted as a full acolyte into the academies. She had requested a transfer to the Dromund Kaas academy after deciding she was done with Crude. Over it. Wanted it out of her life. Taris was too much like Coruscant and feeling like she was at home made it too easy to fall into old habits, even if she had decided to quit.

There were of course other advantages of going to Dromund Kaas. She glanced down at her comlink for a minute, thinking about how, or if, or when, she should let Altair know that they were going to the same academy. Or maybe she would just run into him in the halls. That could be a cute meeting. Or awkward.

She shook her head clearing her thoughts as the shuttle touched down and she stepped out. She had met the academy masters on Taris wearing her Sith academy uniform, and after hearing her case... Well they had shuttled her off to Dromund Kaas without even letting her change or pack her bags. Apparently Dromund Kaas had a top notch drug rehab program due to the wildfire incidents.

So she stepped off the shuttle at the academy landing bay. She had nothing to her name except the sith uniform she was wearing some identification and documentation in her pocket and her comlink in her hand. She blinked. Maybe asking for a transfer hadn't been such a great idea.

Vahliri gave one final glance down to the datapad in her hands, double-checking the appointment time before stuffing the device back into her pocket. Unlike when she was operating on her own time, the half-Sephi had a bit of extra pep in her step as she made her way towards the Academy Hanger Bay - deciding that this was a situation she absolutely could not be late for.

The half-Sephi had been a student as Dromund Kaas for quite some time at this point, and she had consistently scored amongst the highest in her class academically. In addition to other accolades she might’ve received, it meant that she was often chosen to help tour around newly admitted students and transfers.

And that was exactly what she had planned for today - even if she didn’t know who it was she was even meeting.

The half-Sephi strolled out into the Hanger Bay after a few additional minutes of walking, spotting the shuttle that was touching down in the distance. Unlike Ailis, Vahliri was dressed in casually clothes for their little meeting - wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black-sleeved black blouse, coupled with matching boots. Her black hair was left to spill down her back with several small braids in place, while the air around the half-Sephi was scented sweetly with her perfume. While it wasn't nearly so formal, this meeting was meant to be casual - student to student.

Vahliri opted to take a seat on a nearby bench - waiting for the Acolyte to make their way over. In the meantime, the half-Sephi began to glance over some of the documentation that she had brought with her - finally taking a moment to look at the name signed at the very top of the page.

Ailis looked around from the landing pad, finally spotting someone waiting on a bench in the distance. Taking a deep breath, she started to walk over there. New school, new first impressions. She could do this.

As she got closer, she realized the person on the bench was a girl. Then she realized the girl looked familiar. And then she realized the familiar girl was actually Vahlirir. Great. This bitch.

"Ohhh Hey Vahl!" Ailis said as she approached, waving at the girl and giving her a smile. Ailis had met the girl on the hypergate field trip, and her initial impression of the girl then hadn't been good. Mostly because she had been hanging all over Altair... after tripping onto him.

"So I guess you're the one giving me the grand tour?" Ailis asked, looking around to see if anyone else was present. Anyone else to give her the tour. Anyone? Nope, not a soul.

Vahliri kept her eyes fixed out towards the recently-landed shuttle, following the Acolyte that was now starting to make her way in the half-Sephi’s direction. Of course, she couldn’t help but squint the closer that Ailis got - realization finally rearing its head to kick her in the ass.

In that moment, the half-Sephi finally recalled where she recognized that name on the top of her page - clicking the moment she had a face to attribute it to. As soon as it happened, Vahliri exhaled quietly through her nostrils.

Oh. This bitch..

Of course, Vahliri immediately recognized Ailis from that field trip on Serenno - and her own impression of the Drast hadn’t been particularly positive. While the Acolyte hadn’t been particularly hostile, the half-Sephi immediately picked up on the fake-ass smiles and catty undertones of her demeanor when compared to others in the group from quite literally the moment she met the girl. She had little hope that today was going to be any different.

Nevertheless, unlike Ailis, Vahliri didn’t really have a reason to be bitchy towards the Acolyte. At least not at the moment.

She rose up from the bench as the Acolyte got closer, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips as Ailis greeted her - the smile and tone of voice, wave and use of that nickname all coming across as nothing but fake as fuck.

For her part, Vahliri offered the Drast a soft smile and wave in return - polite as could be. “Oh hey Ailis,” She said, “I guess I am - give you a tour of campus, go over the facilities.. Basically just answer any questions you have.” The half-Sephi paused to see if the girl has and questions before giving a nod, jutting her chin back towards the way she came.

“I didn’t realize you were transferring to Dromund Kaas.” She said back to Ailis conversationally, starting to walk back towards campus.

Ailis finished approaching Vahl and came to a stop as the girl spoke with a soft smile. "Awesome! You know at Taris they didn't even give me a tour? Just threw me into it without a clue." Ailis shook her head and crossed her arms. Taris... hadn't exactly seemed interested in her success. Which she supposed was probably typical of the Sith. Success on your own merit or something.

"Any questions? Wow cause I have a loooot." She laughed before looking Vahl up and down and taking in her outfit for the first time. "First one being, how the hell did you squeeze into those pants this morning. Like damn girl, they're basically paint." She said with a laugh. She had to admit Vahliri looked good, and she was a little jealous she could pull off an outfit like that.

Okay Ailis try not to be a bitch. Its not like the girl had actually done anything to her.

"Yeah I didn't entirely realize I was until this morning." She said as she walked side by side with Vahl, shaking her head. "Taris was a bit... too much like home. Too familiar. Too easy to get into trouble. So I asked for a transfer and here I am!"

Vahliri offered Ailis a small smile when the Acolyte spoke again, watching as the girl shook her head and crossed her arms. The half-Sephi had taken some externship assignments out of Taris the past few weeks, but other than that had little experience with the ecumenopolis campus. “Well,” She began, jutting her chin back towards the open hallways of the academy where they were now moving. “Looks like we’re already off to a better start.” Depending on how this tour goes..

The half-Sephi readjusted the satchel on her shoulder, falling in line to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with Ailis as they began their tour of the campus. Vahliri turned to glance at the Ailis when the Acolyte gestured to her pants, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. “Takes a bit of time in the morning, but hey,” She exhaled a laugh through her nostrils. “Look’s good, yeah?” She did a half-turn for the Acolyte as they walked.

The half-Sephi took a moment to look Ailis up and down, giving her a nod of approval. “I dig the robes, though. Lookin’ sharp and professional. ” Both times that the half-Sephi had seen Ailis, the Acolyte had been voluntarily been dressed in Acolyte Robes. While she certainly looked every bit the Sith, Vahliri couldn’t fathom how Ailis wasn’t incredibly uncomfortable the entire time - given that every pair the half-Sephi had ever worn were itchy and tended to chafe in all the wrong places.

Of course, maybe they did. That would certainly explain why Ailis presumably had a stick up her ass?

Vahliri brushed the thought aside. “I’m sure you’ll do better here at Dromund Kaas - it’s about as different from Taris as you can get.” She offered another small sideways smile before looking just head, gesturing with her hand down a hallway. “Cafeteria is just down that way - open three meals a day. Plenty of other food options around Campus, too.” Unless Ailis actively wanted to go down that way, Vahliri gestured down another hallway. “Library is just up this way.”

After a few additional moments, Vahliri glanced back at Ailis. “So where are you from, originally?”

Already off to a better start. "I'd say so." She said with a nod as the tour began. She gave the girl a once over as she did a little half spin. "Looks good, yep." She agreed, trying not to stare a little jealously at how the pants hugged the girls hips.

Ailis looked down at her drab attire, spreading her arms out. "These things? Yuck." She stuck her tongue out. She haaaaated robes. "They're all itchy and they catch on everything." She shook her head, "I wouldn't be caught dead in these outside of school." And she hoped she wouldn't end up dead in them inside the school either.

"Oh good. Taris sucked." She grinned as Vahl explained how Dromund Kaas was different. The cafeteria and the library were first, both places that Ailis assumed she would be spending a lot of time. She glanced over at Vahliri as she asked her a question.

"Oh, I'm from that bright jewel in the center of the universe they call Coruscant, except I'm from the noticeably less shiny part of the place. What about you?" She said with a small giggle before glancing at a pair of acolytes that walked past them, two guys who seemed to be unable to keep their eyes from shifting back to Vahl's legs for more than a few seconds at a time. "So Vahl, what's the boy situation like here?" She asked with a small smirk before looking down at her own outfit. "Not that anybody would be interested in me in this boring uniform."

Vahliri couldn’t help but grin widely when Ailis spread her arms out, stifling a small laugh as the fellow Acolyte proceeded to loudly complain about the drab and insufferably itchy robes she was wearing. Quite frankly, it was a sentiment that the half-Sephi agreed with wholehearted - no small part of why she avoided donning the damn things unless outright necessary. “I avoid ‘em whenever I can. As you already know.” She said, making clear reference to her own attire back on Serenno and Taris.

“Well look on the bright side,”
She said, her lips twitching upwards. “I’m sure they’ll be real popular with the dusty old instructors here on Dromund Kaas. They love that type of shit.” The overly formal attire always scored brownie points with the traditionalist teachers at the Academy.

Vahliri continued to walk right ahead, passing the library where she’d just gestured a few moments prior. It was a place that the half-Sephi was intimately familiar with herself, especially since she seemed to spend a good portion of her day buried in her studies there. She glanced back when Ailis responded to her previous question, confirming where she was from. “Coruscant? Cool.” She have a nod. “Never been myself.. It’s not too different from Taris or Denon, yeah?”

“I’m from Indupar myself,”
She said as the question was thrown back at her. The half-Sephi didn’t bother to look back at the boys who were staring as they walked by. “Spent my whole life there before I joined the Academy.”

She paused when Ailis asked her about the boy situation on Dromund Kaas. The half-Sephi couldn’t help the way her thoughts immediately went to Altair, a small smile tracing against her features. “Not bad at all.” She said with a grin. “Plenty of assholes just like everywhere else, but there is some cute guys around here.” She glanced down at the fellow Acolyte’s clothes, grinning faintly as she nodded her head.

“I mean.. Yeaaahhh no argument there.”
She smirked a little wider. “Don’t take it personal though. Ditch the robes and I’m sure guys won’t be able to keep their eyes off you.” With that, Vahliri stepped through the door - walking out into the open training yard to tour that section of campus.
