Legacy of Tython

As the Mandalorian warriors and the Imperial armies press into the Alliance core, the Sith take their focus to the Jedi and their home world of Tython. There was no additional protection for Tython by the Alliance as any reinforcements were drawn back to Alsakan and Coruscant, breaking through defenses were easier than has previously planned. The Sith allowed themselves to set foot on the planet once again after several millennia, their Lords and warriors basked in the destruction they brought to crumbling Jedi Order.

Tythonian Temple

61797631.png

The Will of the Force, Coruscant, Empress Teta, and now Tython, the temple lay under siege by the Sith Masters and their Lords. Not long had the temple stood on the Jedi home world, Tython only had being rediscovered centuries earlier by the New Jedi Order. The temple holds the Jedi’s valuable archives as well as the home to those in service and dedication to preserving the Light.

As the descents of Bogan pour into the temple the Jedi are there to defend, meeting the army of darkness. The air is broken with the collection of the snap hiss and hum as lightsabers ignite and clash. The most power of the Sith Lords chill the air as they entered, though are quickly confronted with the Order’s best fighters. However, unknown to the Jedi, the Sith carry with them the Jedi were all too familiar with, a weapon to eradicate the Order’s temple entirely.

Participants

Jedi Masters, Juno Armstrong & Ebberla Daw

Sith Lords, Ryak De'ruus & Arcturus D. Wolfgang

Note: Even though these battles are meant to be losses for the Jedi, it is also meant for the chance to hold an epic battle of Light vs Dark. Work together, have fun, and lets make these stories worth reading again and again!

A red and gold robe trailed behind the armour of one Juno Armstrong, Weapon Master. Having felt the approach of the Sith like a chill to her heart, Juno had arrived to Tython with less than an hour to spare. The Corellian Jedi Master left her Padawan to assist in the evacuation of the Temple. She had arranged for her ship, the Axiom to be left at a prearranged landing site, once Jake had left the planet's surface with the Doaba. Once the arrangements had been made, Juno gathered her equipment, stowing it on her person instinctively. Twelve lightsabers, firmly affixed to her person, the thirteenth, a lightsaber pike, in her hand.

Tap Tap Tap

The pike's phrik alloy base rang through the emptied halls of the Temple as Juno made her way to the main entrance to the historic 'home' of the Jedi. Juno normally waited for all options to be exhausted before engaging in battle, but on this occasion, she knew that such negotiations were not on the table. The Sith Order did not send their members for an idle chat or a cup of tea. No, this was the war. And it had arrived at the sacred Temple where Juno had completed her training. Falling into a meditative state as she walked, acutely aware, but ignoring most anything around her, the younger of the Armstrong twins approached the 'gates' of the Temple, where she, and any other Jedi Masters, would stand fast and attempt to repel any oncoming force that the Sith dared put against her.

Finally, when Juno came to the exit, stepping just into the sunlight beyond the Temple's doors, the armoured Jedi spread her feet shoulder width apart, and nestled the Pike's base against her foot, letting her arm extend out. Rocking her head forward, Juno breathed deeply, letting the Force bring her back to a state of dispassionate clarity. This was war, and Juno would merely fight it.

The sizzle and smell of burning flesh assaulted Ryak's senses as the red lighting coming from his finger tips coursed through the unfortunate form of a Jedi Padawan who was foolish enough to challenge the powerful Sith Master. Ryak lightsaber hung by his side swinging back in forth in response to his steady stride. He was a sorcerer and only drew his lightsaber when it was necessary. The Padawan's Master, who was dealing with some Imperial troops was next; and for this one Ryak drew his lightsaber.

Tython had been the homeworld of the Jedi and was sacred ground, especially in and around the temple, and this Jedi Knight defended it as such. His skill in Juyo was impressive but no match for Ryak's skill with the form soresu. Its wasn't long before the Jedi began to tire and struck to hard and over extended himself. Ryak exploited the opening, his crimson blade slicing through the Jedi's torso. As the sentients now limp body crumpled to the ground, Ryak looked up and noticed the silhouette of a Jedi who felt much stronger in the Force. Finally an opponent worth Ryak's time.

Ryak marched up the steps of the temple his crimson blade by his side still glowing. As he approached the female Jedi he allowed himself to give off a dark aura which would strike fear into anyone unprepared. "I suggest you tuck your tail and flee with the rest of your cowardly brethren. Otherwise you will end up like your friend and his Padawan." Ryak stood still unwavering his eyes boring into the eyes of the Jedi.

Ebberla recalled the first time she was ever required to meditate. She didn't understand its purpose, sitting quietly, no noise, no distractions, except for sleep. Her master was quite displeased with her napping sessions, though Ebberla doubted sitting in silence was the only method of meditation and had soon discovered moving meditation. Ebb found herself in a calm she never experienced, easily able to let go, her focus allowed her on the present, the past and future no longer mattered at that point. Her mind would relax as it delved into her unresolved questions.

Her magenta blade was a blur about her. The air smelled of ionized particles as the Force flowed through the woman while she moved. Beads of sweat trickled down her face and neck and on occasion, a sharp turn would force them into her blade, releasing a small hiss as it disrupted the hum that it naturally produced. Her mind had been quite preoccupied, she still grieved over her part from Thaed, but there was something else that prodded at her mind, well, what she didn't believe wasn't there. It was loud, but she was deaf to it, or at least she believed she was...

Tython, Present

Storms tore through Tython's skies, the planet itself felt the approach of Bogan' wrath before they even set foot on the soils. The Dark Side fell like a wet blanket, its flows spread throughout the system, no one was unaffected. She could feel the cold, the hate, the fear, as it tried to strike those down before a blade would reach their hearts. The temple shook with amazing force as Imperial forces took care of security precautions outside. Ebberla Daw did not flinch, the Force kept her balanced while others around her seemed to not catch on to the trick, she could feel how young they were, their power still raw, but their courage unbeatable.

She didn't know anyone who stood next her, there were only a couple presences she could recognize, and those she didn't she was sure she was not going to remember them after today. The Core was a loss, they had been bested, after Tython, she was sure they would move on to the other temples, snuffing out any who still stood in the way of the darkness that had fallen on the galaxy.

She felt the yells before she heard them, the first lines of defense outside in the courtyard were failing, each light easily snuffed out one by one before the Sith poured into the temple's entrance. Sabers ignited a collective snap hiss echoed followed by the yells of Jedi as they took their defense. Ebberla's blade plummeted into the heart of an eager Sith, his rage blinding him to her intentions. The Force cried in her ears, her senses fully flared as more took their attention to her. She placed her faith within the Force, it would be her greatest ally today.

Shrouded in the shadow within his approaching shuttle, Arcturus was armored up and geared for battle. Around him thrummed the ship, resounding through his very bones, as it made it's way to the ground near the Temple. At speed he went, driven by a dark determination born from powerful Precognition. In his meditations as part of the fleet, he had Seen a woman. He had seen this woman before, many months back. What he had seen in his meditations was quite clear. This woman may end up a direct thread to the Empire in the future. As a result, it was his duty to end her existence here, on this planet of light and dark, before her destiny overtook her, and she was swept away by the tides of fate.

Despite his solemn purpose, as the shuttle approached the ground, a small smile formed upon his face. Finally, after so long, he was going into battle against the enemies of the Empire. It had been far too long since he had fought himself. And this time, he was much more powerful. Overtop his rancor leather and phrik plated armor, a well made braided surcoat, with no soldier and horseman splits on the bottom half, accented his Imperial and Sith aesthetic. No robe today. He had abandoned the robes for a more active, military-esque appearance. Something he could fight at in any time. On his leather belt, over the surcoat, were two curved-handle lightsabers mag-locked, one on the left and one on the right, a sword buckled onto the back of his belt, angled hilt-side-up towards the right for a back side draw, and the usual Charric officer's pistol on left leg, ready to be drawn. In his right hand, however, he held only a phrikwarhammer, gained in battle during the Battle of Empress Teta, when he defeated the hammer-wielding Jedi Master. Of course he had kept the hammer, as both a trophy of a veteran Jedi's defeat and a viable weapon against Jedi. Worse, it was clearly etched with Jedi markings and electrum trim. Easily recognizable as a Jedi's weapon.

As the lamp of the Shuttle lowered, several feet from the ground, Arcturus and his hammer leapt into battle, interceping a Jedi who was attempting to damage the ship by leaping at it. Arcturus planted the hammer in his chest mid-leap and dragged him back down to the ground, dead. Arcturus pulled the spiked head from the man's chest and headed towards the next target, a Jedi attempting to avenge his fallen comrade. The poor man went for the typical overhand swing, of a a classic Djem So user, a basic opening. Arcturus gripped with his left hand just below the head of his hammer and caught the saber, as he stepped left, bouncing it too the left, and used his momentum to smash into the side of the Jedi's head with the hilt of the weapon. Then, letting go with his left hand, he ducked and swept the man's legs out from under him with the hammer as he tried to recover, bringing him to the ground as Arcturus stood up, swinging the hammer in an arc from it's low position, like a pendulum. At it's peak, it dropped back down as Arcturus bent his knees, bringing the hammer's face into this man's chest as well. He was dead in an instant.

The third, standing in the entrance to the temple, leapt through the air at him, his active guard showing him as a user of Ataru. It wouldn't matter, though. Bringing him arm forward, Arcturus threw the hammer to intercept. As it's shaft struck the lightsaber, deflecting around, circular momentum brought the backspike straight through the Jedi's skull. Arcturus left it where it was, and stepped into the Jedi's entrance without a weapon in hand.

What he saw was, typical of battles between Jedi and Sith, a sense of ordered chaos. People fighting one on one everywhere he looked, painting the hallowed halls red with the bled of those who lived there and of the invaders. Arcturus searched for the woman with his Sight, eager to fight. At last he found her, just as she killed a raging Crusader. With a winning smile, he walked through sea of blades and corpses. As he got near, though, he was waylaid again by a Jedi Knight who saw only an unarmed Sith. As he swung from right to left, Arcturus stepped in and checked the man's left arm behind the elbow with his forearm and grabbed both wrists. Applying pressure behind the elbow and pulling on his left wrist, he broke the joint. The Jedi, screaming, swung his blade with only his right hand. Arcturus jabbed at the arm, deadening his fingers and causing the blade to fly off behind him. Then, with the Dark Side flowing through him and filling him with a foul maliciousness, he swung his right elbow around and struck the man in his jaw, whipped forward his left arm to grab him by the throat, and then used the fingers of his right hand to grip him under the ribs. And as a final measure, by way of announcing his presence, bodily threw him towards Ebberla Daw and whomever it was she was fighting at the time.

His stormcloud aura was swirling and darkening by the second as he prepared for true battle. But that smile was still there, as present as it ever was. Devilish it was, soft and gentlemanly, but filled with malevolence.

I am Arcturus Wolfgang. A pleasure to meet you, lady Jedi. His cold voice rang out, clearly introducing himself to an opponent he intended to kill, but no weapon was drawn. Perhaps he was waiting for something? Whatever this Devil was planning, it wasn't good.

Juno watched as Ryak mercilessly cut down two of her fellow Jedi. Even from a distance, she knew that even if she had helped them, they would have been the first to fall at Ryak's hands. Stiffening her composure Juno watched as the red-skinned twi'lek marched towards her, seemingly believing that he was able to defeat anyone who stood in his way. While this may be true, he was certainly going to have to work for a victory against the Order's Weapon Master, a title well-earned.

"I suggest you tuck your tail and flee with the rest of your cowardly brethren. Otherwise you will end up like your friend and his Padawan," the words seethed over Juno like uncomfortably hot steam that left you wish icy chills down your spine. Her vibrant, guardian-blue eyes met with the Sith Master's who stood before her. Taking only a moment to assess the brown eyes, tinted red with the abbhoration of the Force that she held so dear, Juno spoke softly. Her words carried volume beyond physics, and power beyond definition, "That is something I cannot do."

Respect was given to those opposite her in most cases, but Juno had quite intentionally failed to address the Sith Master by any means, and simply stared him down, clearly unafraid. Juno's grip on her lightsaber pike loosened as she shifted her weight around the balls of her feet. Straightening up to face her would-be opponent, Juno spoke simply, "I suggest you turn away, return to where you came from, and I'd appreciate it if you took your friends with you, Sith." Her words were not spat, nor spoken in hatred, just spoken more softly. To Juno and Ryak's ears, it would have carried further than either of them would have thought, powered by the Sith's return to Tython after many, many years.

There was something odd about the way Juno had told him to go away. There was no malice no anger not even any hint of hate. Ryak wasn't naïve by any means. He knew what the Jedi believed in but had never come up against the best of their order as most of the knights and padawans he has faced all had some hint of the emotions that gave him power. Ryak began to slowly circle Juno, evaluating here from every angle trying to get a sense of her combat style from the way she carried herself. It was clear her skill lay in melee combat. She had more weapons on her than an advanced fighter.

Ryak knew that with the saber pike Juno had reach and inorder to take advantage of this Ryak would have to keep it close, at least for now. He was a Master of Shii-Cho and highly proficient with Soresu. So he would use a combination of these two forms to defeat his opponent. "We will scorch this place to the very earth before we are done." After circling Juno a final time he started to circle her again, however once he got behind her he preformed a sharp, fast up cut toward her back. His lightsaber was in his right hand as he preformed the maneuver and he sliced from her hip to her shoulder his blade angled downward to his right. He knew it could be easily blocked but it wasn't a bad way to open the duel.

The plasma blade swallowed back inside the Jedi's hilt. Her thoughts still stirred inside her head, no resolution to her problems, only restlessness and agitation that she couldn't resolve. She clipped the hilt back to her belt and sat where she stood, legs crossed, her eyes set on no particular objects in the room before she buried her face into her palms letting out a groan.

Ebberla though did not sit in the room alone. With her she carried a holocron, its organic crystal contained the noetikon of pathes, that she cleverly replaced with a not so clever holocron crystal in order to protect the AI from falling into the wrong hands. She felt it stir in the Force and Ebberla turned around to face it. Dal had been her mentor, a guide for her since she returned from Sith captivity. The Danthiri projection seemed to understand more than some of the other Jedi, but then of course, she wasn't too sure at times how much was computer and how much of it was the Force.

The Corellian waved her hand, the cube's designed glowed and opened revealing the Danthiri Warden, who greeted the Jedi with her programed greeting before giving a more organic greeting to Ebberla. The Watchman didn't say anything, she felt like a child before their mother, getting ready to admit their wrongs and apologize.

"There's a Corellian saying that if they didn't know something, then it wasn't worth knowing in the first place." Ebberla paused, her eyes kept down, "I knew something, it was entrusted to me, I knew something and it was entirely important. So important, I had to forget...so important, now that I do not remember, I've hurt people I love, I've hurt myself." She glanced at Dal, "How can I break it?"

Dalharil grinned.

Tython, Now

The light was weakening considerably. Death had filled the temple, despair had filled the hearts of those vulnerable. It should never be a familiar feeling, but for Ebberla Daw, it was, but there was something else she felt, something that she had not felt since she was Ossus. It was the feeling of a hunt, when a predator had seen its prey. It wasn't the same feeling as when another Sith attacked her, random pickings, no, it was specific, someone wanted her, someone powerful in the Force.

Ebberla was being hunted, her predator was on her. Another sith attacked, their blades clashing, their scream reverberating in her ears as they tried to bring her down. Her senses alerted her and she did not question the Force as she jumped backwards, a flying body nailing the Sith instead. Her instinct told her to turn her head, the tendrils of the dark side leeched toward her, her skin prickled as she laid her eyes upon who had be hunting her.

He introduced himself, his voice was just as cold as his aura, he held no weapon, only a smile, but the Jedi was no fool and knew she was about to fight for more than just her life. The Force flowed through the Jedi as he introduced himself, she made note of the name, his presence in the Force was distinct, undoubtedly a Darth.

"Not so much a pleasure, I really wish you would have comm-ed before you guys showed up, makes it difficult for being a good hostess." The Jedi quipped, her blade held and ready as she made sure to keep herself at a distance from him.

Juno shrugged off the Sith Master's attempts to goad her into an emotion-driven frenzy, maintaining the clarity that came with the Force. It was an odd sensation for Juno to be feeling the anger and hate stemming from the red-skinned Twi'lek, but to actually feel so few emotions at the same time. It was the sensation of sitting in a warm, relaxing bath, yet being encircled by death, violence and hatred. Were Juno's relaxed state any weaker, she may have even felt guilty for being in such a serene state of mind amidst such chaos. But no, the Corellian born Jedi Weapon Master, twin to the Battlemaster, student of one of the greatest Jedi Masters of their time, would not give in to such emotions, as they had no place here between Juno and her opponent.

As Ryak's crimson blade rounded upwards to the small of Juno's back, the Weapon Master, who had not moved her feet, but kept her eyes firmly fixed on the Sith, flicked the base of her lightsaber pike from the ground, bringing it up to her back to defend against the strike. It was evident that Juno had been quite proficient in the weapon, as the block left Ryak's blade within inches of scorching through her armour. Within a fraction of a second of the saber-pike contact, Juno flourished out with her hand, parrying away the attack. Her weight, now in rotation, was fully committed to as the Force fuelled her muscles to move faster and with greater strength than was capable of a normal human. By the time her left side faced Ryak, her foot was targeted at his undefended chest, and followed through with what could only be described as a 'Force kick' which would send the twi'lek soaring back into the main hall of the Tythonian Temple.

The Jedi was quick and certainly skilled with the saber pike. What Ryak didn't fully expect, but braced himself for once he saw it coming, was the roundhouse kick. Ryak heard a crack and seconds later felt the pain as he flew backwards and into a column in the cavernous temple hall. It took Ryak only a moment to realize that a few of his ribs were broken. The pain was excrutiating but Ryak fought through it, drawing on it to fuel his passions and give him strength. Ryak was not one to project his anger though his voice but rather through silent action. With a fluid motion Ryak left hand went forward and a Force Blast emenated and slammed into a nearby column turning it to dust.

With the column gone and nothing else to support it a segment of the temple's ceiling caved in throwing another could of debris into the air. With his form now obscured from sight Ryak charged in again. This time he attempted a simple thrust at Juno chest level. Although a simple move it could be hard to block with a saber pike because of its lack of maneuverability.

Juno didn't actually make any solid attempt at blocking the strike with her pike in any literal sense. Instead, she turned it on its side, holding it in an underhanded, left-hand grip and 'bowled' it towards the Sith Master's crimson blade. With the aide of the Force, Juno used the body of her pike to glance off Ryak's blade, and telekinetically forced it upwards and backwards over the Sith Master's head. Taking advantage of the opening created by the manoeuvre, the Weapon Master sharply closed the gap between them, her right hand drawn to her belt, withdrawing the weapon that Juno was most comfortable with. Her hand-built, custom-forged chrome-coated lightsaber that contained the exceedingly rare permafrost crystal.

As the ice-blue blade ignited the temperature surrounding her seemed to plummet by a solid five to ten degrees, easily noticeable, even for Juno in her climate controlled armour. It was one of the more easily documented effects of the permafrost crystal's use within a lightsaber; a stark drop in temperature, reminiscent of the cold snowy planet upon which it was most often found: Hoth. Despite this temperature change, it was noted, that the plasma core operated at a similar temperature to that of naturally or synthetic grown crystals in the 'normal' fashion.

With the blade ignited, Juno brought her weapon up from her lower left side, bring it it up into a strike that would dice Ryak right hip to left shoulder, were it left unguarded.

Ryak should have realized going into this, especially given the number of weapons the Jedi had on her person, that he needed to get as much separation as possible or stay on the defensive until she got tired. However now he had gotten himself into a predicament and would be sliced into pieces if he didn't get himself out.

As Ryak's blade went up and behind his head there was not a lot he could do but deactivate it to keep it from slicing into his back. Suddenly the air around him went cold as the Jedi drew and ignited a blue lightsaber. Ryak knew of no such crystal that caused this affect but decided to find out if he made it out of this battle alive. Juno was good, that was clear as the saber made a track to cut Ryak diagonally.

Although Ryak wasn't as skilled with a blade he wasn't slow. He had just enough time to draw his second lightsaber and divert the blue blade with his own. Given the awkward angle he was holding his blade although he was able to divert the blue blade his own carved into his armor weakening it on his right side.

To counter Ryak spun clock wise, one lightsaber in his left hand and the other still deactivated in his right. He made sure the deactivated saber in his right hand was facing backwards. At just about the point when his hand was near Juno he activated it hoping that it might cut her in half as he followed through with his 360 spin. If it was blocked he had a plan to counter and keep himself from being stabbed in the back.

Juno watched the lightsaber careen around, and appeared to stretch out her hand, apparently attempting to stop the plasma-cored weapon with the outside of her hand. Luckily, however, Juno's connection with the crystals within was attuned enough for her to ignite the green blade that emerged from the concealed emitter on her gauntlet. With a forceful grunt, Juno pushed forward, then took a step back, generating a two pace gap between them. Before Ryak had the chance to turn and see Juno's 'secret' weapon, she quickly disengaged it, and held her ice-blue blade in a basic Shii-Cho defensive starting position.

Slightly modifying the position, Juno squared off her feet, and held the hilt low, near her belly, and stared beyond the blade at her opponent. The advantage of this position is that you became a wall of defence. Your weight centred, and giving no clues as to which hand was Juno's dominant; naturally by now even a Sith Acolyte could have discerned that Juno was predominantly right handed, but what he couldn't have known was that Juno was equally skilled with her left.

As Ryak spun he almost expected some form of an attempt to stab him in the back however this didn't happen. What Ryak did hear though was the *snap* *hiss* of an ignited lightsaber. His blade was lightly blocked as he swung around and by the time he came full circle Juno had only one blade ignited. It took only a glance and little thought for Ryak to guess there was a blade hidden within her gauntlets. The fact that she wouldn't be able to bring one of her other weapons to bear and then return it to its position in time was the main give away.

Ryak stood facing his opponent who had briefly taken a Shii-Cho defensive stance and then slightly modified it. Ryak had not seen the modified stance before but it still looked defensive. Despite this however and his own knowledge of defensive lightsaber combat decided to take the offensive for the time being. Ryak took the Shii-Cho stance, quickly putting away the lightsaber that had been in his left hand, of offense and raised his left hand. As he brought his left hand down a large chunk of ceiling came with it, headed for Juno. Ryak made sure to keep it from hitting him as it came crashing down.

Juno's face visibly grimaced as she looked up to see the roof coming down ontop of her. Being acutely aware of how long this duel had the potential to go on for, Juno knew that using the Force or attempting to move out of the way was a poor choice of action. So she, instead, opted to flick her foot forward, kicking up a billowing pile of dust in front of her, as she grabbed the edge of her robe, pulling it up and over her head. As Juno crouched down, she tapped on the controls to her armour, activating the robe's most intriguing property. Hardening into a solid state, the robe formed a protective canopy over Juno, who deactivated her lightsaber when the rocks fell upon her.

Breathing softly, Juno dove into the Force, grasping at each and every rock that buried her. Once she had exerted her grip upon them, she deactivated the robe, which fell loosely around her body, and spread her body weight. With an unceremonious grunt Juno engaged her understanding of Force Repulse, putting it into action in the form of a powerful wave of energy, sending her prison of rubble out in all directions. Even as this happened, Juno was already on the move darting directly at Ryak, ice-blue saber ignited, preparing for a left-handed lunge, attempting to pierce the twi'lek through the shoulder.

The minute the dust was kicked up and the Jedi obscured herself with her cloak Ryak dodged out of the way and planned to catch unprepared from behind. Ryak had to stop however and take cover behind a column as Juno let loose the Force Repulse. Using the force to agument his speed slightly, the minuet the dust particle wizzed past his ears, Ryak spun from behind the column. As he spun he noticed that he was slightly behind Juno who had lunged forward attempting to strike at the space where he had been.

Using this to his advantage Ryak attacked. He aimed for the small of Juno's back. His own saber he held with both hands at about waist level. The blade pointed out toward his right side and the handle he let stick out past his left side. This way he was more protected by his lightsaber and he could easily bring his weapon to bear should she counter attack from either side. Ryak's slash was horizontal and fast.

Juno instantly realised the flaw in her plan when she emerged from the dust. The hair on the back of her neck told her that she had made a crucial mistake, and there was only one way to save her life at this point. Very intentionally, Juno hooked the tip of her toe underneath a heavy rock, forcing her into an unceremonious face plant. Quickly supporting herself, Juno kicked her legs out, aiming at Ryak's right knee. Whether it connected or not was irrelevant.

Juno would use the generated momentum from her kick to follow through, either pressing against Ryak's leg, or the ground and would push herself to her feet, slashing in a low-wide arc with her saber, still in her left hand.

Ryak would have laughed at the Jedi's face plant if it weren't for the heated battle they were in. Ryak just barely had time to avoid the kick that would have crashed into his knee. Even though his armor would have protected him from the upward kick on other parts of his legs his knees were vulnerable and a hit like that could have crippled him.

After jumping backwards slightly Ryak watched Juno jump up quite gracefully, despite her clumsy dodge, he took the readiness stance of the defensive form, Soresu. "Is that all you got Jedi." Ryak was curious to see how Juno operated while on the offensive, if she would even go on the offensive.

Despite the Sith's taunts, Juno somehow managed to remain completely dispassionate and refused to enjoy combat. While she fought with fervour, and pulled no punches, her goal was only to end this fight as quickly as possible, without taking the Sith Master's life, if possible. Juno watched as her opponent steadied himself into the ever defensible form. Rolling her neck, the Weapon Master responded softly, her voice carrying her conviction, "I'd prefer to see you and your friends leave this planet alive. Put down your weapon, and leave."

Juno waited for a response, but alternated her grip on the lightsaber. Spinning it in her hand to a reverse grip, Juno then placed her fingers in an extremely unorthodox grip, index and middle fingers on either side of the hilt. "You've no place being here, and I will do what I must should you refuse to leave peacefully."

Calmness of the Jedi was aggravating but Ryak didn't let that bother him. He just let the anger that resulted fuel him and strengthen his hold on the darkside. "You are foolish Jedi if you think I would just leave. I came hear to help take Tython for the Imperium and I will not leave until I have done so." Ryak remarked.

"All of you Jedi are the same Goodie Goodies. You may be strong but you have not tasted true power." Ryak wondered if he might be able to tempt Juno into a path along the darkside. Regardless of whether or not he actually could, he would try for he would not be a proper Sith if he didn't. "Lower your own weapons and become an acolyte of the Sith order. I will personally train you myself in the arcane arts and you will know power beyond anything the ignorant Jedi Council will ever admit exists." With Ryak words came the strong influence of the force. Although the Jedi in front of him was a master there were those of greater power who had succumbed to the pull of the darkside.
