Voice Actress: Kate Mulgrew Sample

Name: Madrar Ro
Faction: The Sovereign Guard
Rank: Coruscant Chapter Leader
Species: Bothan
Age: 41
Gender: Female
Force Sensitivity: None

Description

At 41 years old Madrar is now a hardened veteran of life on the shady side, and she looks the part. She stands at the modest height of five foot eight inches, weighing just over a hundred forty pounds. her wiry muscled frame is covered by cream-brown fur typical of her species. She wears a featureless black jumpsuit when not on a mission. A vicious looking scar over her left eye must have caused Madrar great pain at some point in the past.

Physical attributes:

Madrar’s body has been hardened by her years on the edge. Her frame is wiry and muscled, but by no means bulky. Her philosophy in a close quarters battle is not to throw the strongest punch, but to hit where it hurts. In a fight she uses swift and precise strikes to disable, injure, and eventually defeat her opponent. Her grace and agility are such that she is able to move quickly without making a sound and blend into the slightest bit of cover.

Mental Attributes:

Madrar has received little formal education, however she is able to more than compensate for this fact with street smarts. She has very practical and in-depth knowledge of security systems, her armor, and battle tactics. She wouldn't describe herself as wise so much as far-sighted. She's able to keep her eye on the prize. She's not an exceptionally imposing character, but she has a weight of authority, and a firey dignity that nobody can deny.

Skills:

  • Expert in stealth and concealment.
  • Blaster pistol and sniper rifle proficiency, can handle rifles in a pinch.
  • Skilled with knives for close quarters brawling.
  • Working knowledge of human and alien physiology (for use in swift and silent kills)

Strengths:

Madrar is best at covert assassination or infiltration missions. She tries to avoid a straight fight, preferring to stack the rules in her favor before ever appearing on the scene. When cornered she's quite handy with a blaster pistol or a knife, and is never without a trick of some sort to give her an edge. Or at least a fighting chance.

Weaknesses

Madrar is an exceptionally capable assassin, but she's so diversified her skills that she has mastered only stealth and concealment. She'd be out-shot by a trained gunslinger, out sniped by a marksman, overpowered by a brawler, and out thought by a mastermind. She is forced to creatively use her proficiency in multiple fields to even the tables against a specialist.

Gear:

Genius engineer and scientist Thaw Walore has taken the infant Personal Stealth Field technology and devoted every ounce of his considerable talents towards streamlining and optimizing it within the technological confines of the day. Abandoning the crude "backpack" approach he has instead diluted the technology in "nodes" around the body (chest, back, forearms and thighs) making for a much more portable version of the technology. The several coordinated stealth fields that this approach makes for draws less energy and puts less strain on the suit's miniature generator. This incredible piece of technology is specifically crafted to be mounted on Madrar's bodysuit, and would require difficult modifications to be adapted for another warrior. The stealth field projected shields the user from detection from electromagnetic energy, including visible light and scanners. However, it does not absorb sound. Staying quiet is up to Madrar.

In addition to the stealth field generator, Madrar's Combat Suit houses several other nifty little tricks. It's made of a flexible armorweave exterior keeping the overall weight down enough for Madrar to exhibit her impressive grace and stealth. It houses an artificially maintained environment that seals in air and heat making her invisible to thermal sensors. This does, however, leave her vulnerable to melee weapons, many of which can puncture the suit without much resistance. But more importantly than the suit itself is what's concealed within. Several small grenades of every description are concealed in various pockets and pouches on her body. They range from flashbang, to smoke, to toxic and corrosive poisons. Madrar's breathing mask is designed to resist these smokes and gasses, which are specifically crafted to gum up, or burn through other air filtering devices. The transparisteel faceplate of her helmet has several filter options, allowing her to flick through and see most of the electromagnetic spectrum. An especially interesting filter is audio, allowing Madrar to "see" sounds. This lets her zero in on the source of any noise and fight in the absolute darkness of her sophisticated smoke grenades.

Madrar scorns the use of a rifle as clumsy, and instead makes do with a low powered, small, but lethally accurate sniper rifle equipped with a telescopic barrel for easier transportation, two easily concealed hold out pistols, and one reliable heavy blaster pistol that she often leaves behind on stealth missions. Naturally all of her weapons are silenced. She also has an old, but incredibly sharp assassin's knife and a small bothan stun stick for when things get into extreme close range.

Finally comes a list of miscellaneous gear that Madrar uses to assist in her infiltration missions. A sophisticated grappling hook that uses molecular adhesion to bind to surfaces that wouldn't normally allow such an approach. A spider-like decoy-bot, once released, will discretely make it's way to the most conspicuous part of an area, then explode with a loud bang and flash of light. Something like a miniature flash grenade on twelve spindly legs. A compact and powerful fusioncutter. And finally, a length of nearly invisible, but razor sharp wire.

Personality:

Madrar is a fiery woman. When she sets her mind on a course of action she is stubborn and determined to the point of suicidal. So far though, it hasn't come to that, and Madrar has managed to blast, sneak, or bargain her way out of the tough scrapes she's gotten herself into. That's not to say that she's impulsive though; she plans rationally and cleverly, and executes with single-minded purpose.

Off work Madrar makes an effort to keep on good terms with her team and coworkers, knowing that they will do their best work if they trust her and she can trust them. She keeps her emotional distance from her subordinates, but has been known to let her emotional barriers down - a little - around her close associates and, dare we say it, friends.

History:

Madrar was raised on the streets of a particularly nasty part of Bothawui. She was "adopted" by a rag tag gang of street urchins, but had to look out for herself from a young age. She survived mostly as a pickpocket and thief until she became old and strong enough to dabble in assassination. She used a knife mostly in those days, blasters being tough to come by without either identification or a great deal of credits. To this day Madrar has a special place in her heart for knives.

When she reached adulthood, or close enough in her own mind anyway, Madrar stowed away on a cargo ship headed offworld. She left just as stealthily at their destination, which turned out to be Nar Shaddaa. Nar Shaddaa was a virtual paradise for Madrar, and she quickly found her element; espionage and assassination. Madrar's skills are no less formidable because she is mostly self-trained. Her big break came when an agent of the Faded Shroud contacted her with an offer she couldn't refuse.

Madrar swore loyalty to the obscure organization of professionals. There she was exposed to the cream of every type of criminal known to the galaxy. From smugglers to assassins to spies and mercenaries, the Faded Shroud accepted that each had their uses, and aimed to form a deadly whole from the many. Her tough spirit and indomitable will to be the best had served her well on the streets, and continued to be one of her greatest strengths as she clawed her way up the hierarchy. She has since left the Shroud and thrown in with the Sovereign Guard.

No need to put 'mike' in parentheses in each of your profiles. We can see who the thread starter is when we look at them.
