Name: Malz Terris
Faction: Jedi Order
Rank: Knight
Species: Human
Age: 25, appears 20
Gender: Male
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Dirty Blonde
Skin: Pale
Credits: 1000
Distinguishing Marks: Piece of right ear missing
Force Sensitive: Yes

Strength: Low; Malz is unaccustomed to physical labor and would rather hit the books than hit the gym.
Dexterity: Medium; Though not very flexible, he is lean enough to possibly slip through incoming holds or dodge an attack.
Constitution: Medium; Malz isn't the heathiest of boys, as his interest in pathology has led him to seek out various infections, thankfully none of them lethal. This has led to a rather hefty immune system though it is by no means perfect.
Intelligence: High; An immensely curious and studious fellow, Malz has dedicated his life to figuring out how things work and interact. He is especially knowledgable in biology and medicine.
Wisdom: Depends on whether one thinks purposefully exposing oneself to a disease for the sake of greater understanding is "wise."
Charisma: His quirky attitude and carefree nature tends to either put off people or make them quite amused. Love him or hate him, every encounter with him is an experience.

Force Powers:
Force Push, Force Pull, Force Heal, Force Sight, Force Throw, Force Speed, Force Jump

Skills:
Knowledge of various biological information pertaining to pathology and anatomy.
Very skilled in Force Healing.

Lightsaber Forms:
Form I Shii-Cho
Form III Soresu

Strengths and weaknesses:
Malz's strengths and weaknesses tend to coincide or be both at once. For instance, his curiosity and ambition has lead him to desire knowledge and garner information from his surroundings; however, he often chooses dangerous or overly bizarre methods of obtaining such information.
His noteworthy intellect is also a notable trait, but this has come at a cost of physical activity, leading to less-than-admirable health and weak structure. He could possibly ace a test but would stand no chance in a sporting event.

Gear:
Standard Jedi clothing
Custom-made (by Malz) glasses, utilizing his damaged ear as a way of securing the glasses in place so they wouldn't fall off.

Personality:
Malz's personality is marked by his never-fading sense that there is more to be learned from life, and that prolonged constancy is detrimental to society. He understands that sometimes calm is needed to maintain balance, but he becomes agitated whenever things stay the same for too long. He values his curiosity as an asset rather than a potential threat to be restrained. Even when confronted with danger, he will do anything he can to learn as much as possible from the situation, without getting himself killed. If a certain bit of knowledge is unobtainable for what he sees as an invalid reason (valid reasons being moral ambiguity), he becomes slightly impatient and will strive to find an available loophole to this problem. He could care less about the secret to cheating death, but preventing death in the face of disease or injury is another matter entirely to him.

This strive for information has lead to him being quite a book-worm. Rather than go outside and roughhouse with the other children his age, he would rather hole himself up in a room and study for hours. Though far from having photographic memory, he is able to retain information for a longer period of time than average without having to rehearse, and will often try to use newfound knowledge in his everyday life to make sure he doesn't eventually forget. Remarkably this keen sense of intellect hasn't lead to any arrogance. He knows that his lack of physical strength is a fault, and that he is by no means a prodigy. Instead of seeking knowledge for the purpose of sharing and bragging, he seeks it for the purpose of simply knowing and understanding. He empathizes with others and will often try to use what he knows to help other living beings and would only harm if it were absolutely necessary.

Probably the most noticeable personality trait is his immensely childish and somewhat immature nature. Fun-loving and aloof, he tries to treat every situation with a smile and will make light out of every confrontation. Though this has led to being considered rather annoying, there seems to be something likable in him that everyone finds. He shows his serious side only when the occasion requires it, though this is heavily rare. One's life would have to be in mortal danger for him to mean business.

History:
Malz Terris was born and raised in Alderaan to a family of wine-makers. Though his parents were never cruel or neglectful, Malz as a child was tired of the constant monotony of managing a vineyard and taking care of his constantly-drunk parents and their many visitors. An only child, he was often the one entrusted to handling the business when they were "sick" after a night of heavy drinking. The only enjoyment he had from these circumstances was when he would chat with customers, elightened by stories of adventure out in the galaxy. On the off-chance that his mother and father were not suffering from hangovers, he would have free reign to do what he wanted, which usually involved his own method of exploring: going into forests and following wild animals. This has lead to a few unfortunate incidents, the most serious being when an animal bit out a piece of his right ear. Enraged as his parents were, Malz was thrilled to finally figure out that Manka Cats were, indeed, protective of their young.

At the age of seven his mother suddenly caught a fatal illness and died several months after diagnosis. Throughout his mother's sickness Malz tried to learn all he can about pathology to help find a cure. Though his efforts were in vain, he continued studying after the death, as he ended up finding various schools of biology (particularly in the medicinal fields) incredibly fascinating. Furthermore, he was able to learn much faster than his fellow students and was more adpet at retaining the information he garnered from his books. Unfortunately, with his mother gone, he had no choice but to take up the extra work to help maintain the vineyard. Still, any chance he could get, he would either go out and find injured or sick animals to take care of or read up various diseases and cures, even going so far as to get himself infected to better study the effects. Occasionally customers would give him scrap metal after his pleas of helping a poor, injured animal. He'd use these scraps to build make-shift prosthetics; though far less effective than what a professional could make, he learned a lot from his trials and errors, and had developed a slight interest in biotechnology through it. He even made himself a pair of glasses that wouldn't fall off by using his damaged ear as a place to secure a band to keep the glasses in place.

Malz's first noticable signs of force sensitivity began about a year after his mother's death. A visitor looking for one of his father's wines came in with a rather odd lump on her exposed shoulder. Without really thinking, Malz blurted out the name of a parasite commonly found in domestic animals that hadn't been vaccinated. The customer didn't think much of it and simply left. About a week later, the same customer came in, minus the lump. She told Malz that a recent doctor's visit confirmed that the lump was a parasite that had been passed on from one of her pets. Thanking him for saving her from a rather grotesque predicament, she inquired as to how he knew she had it, to which he simply shrugged and said, "Lucky guess?" After that, he started noticing he was making quite a lot of lucky guesses, and he would continue to do so until the Jedi Order finally noticed his talents.

The Jedi Order was a perfect fit for him. The vast library the temples contained allowed him to seek as much information as he desired, and not a day went by where he didn't pick up a book for at least an hour. His life with the Order was hardly stationary, however, as he quickly advanced in rank to become Knight. Once that was achieved, he became well-known in certain planets for his seemingly boundless generosity and kindness. If there was a slightest wound to be healed, Malz would do it free of charge. Stalling and curing plagues, taking care of scarred veterans, and providing welfare to the poor allowed his name to be ever-increasingly whispered amongst the population. Most remarkable was his ability to avoid purposefully killing anyone in his missions. Though he could not stop death in the fatally ill, any time there was a confrontation it never resulted in a loss of life on Malz's part. Though his "Doctor of Mercy" attitude has carried him far, who knows how long it will last?

I just read this, how is a knight 18? I understand how you trained in threads, but it's absurd to think an 18 year old could achieve knight rank.
