She tilted her head to the side, studying him for a moment. Was he being serious? She started with a weak smile, because she felt like his offer was honest. She would actually love to learn about his past, his house and everything else, as she was always curious and she already spent so much time with him that her curiosity was peaking when the house started to show her things the first time. However, she had troubles listening to it. But maybe he could teach her. "It certainly would", she replied truthfully in a soft voice, an excited grin on her lips. He was about to share something intimate, which she strongly appreciated.

Ronan headed out of the kitchen and led her down the hall before he could cha be his mind. “Dining room, living room,” he said, gesturing to the respective rooms. He paused at the living room and stared into it. He could almost see his mother sitting in her favorite chair, her dark hair pulled into a severe bun at the nape of her neck, looking anything but motherly. His father would be by the mantel, smoking a cigar, and his brother would be be reading at his mother’s feet; he was always her favorite. Ronan shook his head and walked towards the stairbase.

She did feel a little excited, not only because she always enjoyed learning stories, but especially because she felt like it would help her understand him better. She wanted to understand him. Definitely. She still couldn't explain this strange pull towards him and maybe it would help her understand. She followed him by the heel, peering into the rooms that he showed her. She couldn't stop herself from entering his mind because his emotions were already to strong by their pres the Force. And so she took a look inside his head, picturing the same impression he had just remembered. She briefly saw his parents and the other child. His brother , she supposed. It needed to be his brother. She suddenly realized that she had felt his brothers through the history before, the strongest presence being located in her given room. It must have been his. It instantly made her feel sad, as she could also sense the pain inside Ronan. In contrast to her, he seemed to have pleasant memories about his family. "What was your family like?", the words had suddenly left her mouth, not thinking twice. She was not only curious but she was longing to find answers. She has always been rather empathetic and she knew what it was like to loose family.

His answer was in a soft tone but its content sounded more than harsh. Was that what the dark side did to people? Completely cutting them off from their emotions? She could somehow relate though, because she had the exact same opinion towards her own parents and her past slave life. However, she was not feeling pain anymore. However, she decided that it would be better not to ask further queations. She tried to let the house tell her the stories she wanted to here. She could connect to certain memories and emotions, but it seemed like they were extremely blurry and vage. "Can you teach me something", she interrupted him while he was ascending in front of her. "Can you teach me how to listen to those sensations", she explained further, not really sure how she could describe it. Would he even want to teach her, she wondered.

Hailee swallowed, staring at him with mixed feelings. "Are you implying that you will sooner or later try to expose myself to something like that?", she asked, actually interested in his response. Truth was she had already been in such an incident. She didn't quite think that it di change her that much. "Want to share what happened to you back then?", she asked him curiously, even though she could anticipate his response already. He wouldn't open up...

Again she swallowed as his response was even more direct and harsh as ever before. He went cold and she could relate well enough. She hoped, however, that she would never find herself in such situations ever again. "I know how that feels", she responded, a hint of bitterness in her voice. "I still wonder why you returned to your master. I would never return to any one from my past", she added. There was a lot of pain inside this man in front of her. Maybe that was a reason why she sometimes felt this pull towards him. They were quite alike.

She was surprised by his honesty but she clearly appreciated it. Since she was still stuck with him, it wouldn't help to be mad at each other. Building up trust was maybe the first way to make her stay more pleasant until she could figure out how to escape. His explanation was still not the best, but at least he did respond. "I'm coming", she answered, deciding not push him too far. She tried not to focus on his pain anymore as he was clearly a little uncomfortable and rather to concentrate on her surroundings again. The more she followed him around, the more she learned. She didn't want to dig too much, but certain memories just came flying at her. "Did you ever reconsider your life? Like if you could imagine it any way you wanted, how would it look like?", she suddenly asked when the thoughts came into her mind. She herself did think about it. Her life could have definitely been different. When her mom was her age, she already had Hailee. That's what she remembered. She was rather young and the motifs of why she left were still unexplainable.

Ronan slowed to a stop as he reached top of the stairs. “If it could be any way I wanted, I would be anywhere but here, stuck with my master. I would have control over my own life and find my family,” he said. He had never really believed they were dead, no matter how many times his master told him it was so. Even his own master didn’t know what had happened to his family; Ronan had felt on many an occasion his master’s uncertainty and anger at the one thing he couldn’t lord over Ronan.

She expected that he would snap at her again, but he actually replied seemingly truthfully and softly. So his family wasn't dead. Or maybe he didn't know. She had always told herself that her family was dead as well, but they could be somewhere in the galaxy. She was surprised that even though he was so closed-off from time to time, he shared that private thought with her. However, she knew that he probably wouldn't like her being empathetic and sensitive, so she held back at first, trying not to sound too compassionate and yet she threw it all over board again. "Maybe you will find them some day. It is never to late to try. I always thought that I would never escape my boss but I managed to do it. He was no Sith Lord though", she replied, half hoping to lighten up the mood, half trying to be understanding. She could definitely understand him better now, not only from what he said but also from what this apartment showed her.

She followed him further up the stairs until he did snap at her. "It's not pity. It's being friendly. I know you haven't heard of it", she responded a little annoyed by his sudden change of mood. When he showed her the rest of the rooms she decided that she would indeed visit them when he wouldn't notice it, because she could feel a lot of memories floating there and she was definitely going to explore them. She rolled her eyes as he explained that she was again basically confined to two rooms only, so she gave him another challenging look. "Do you actually think that you will be able to influence me when you constantly act that way?", she asked him seriously. He was not being charming, how could he think that this would be the way of convincing her of following his path of rage and darkness?

Ronan stopped again. “I have already told you something no one else knows,” he said softly. “Don’t tell me I’m not being charming because this is me being tolerant,” he said. Her words hurt on a deeper level. She was not impressed by him. Then what had happened on the ship, when she had leaned into him? He swallowed and pushed away the memory. “At least this way you know you have control over your actions,” he said, before turning and locking himself in his room. He would have to talk to his master soon, something he was not looking forward to.

Tolerant? She raised an eyebrow and followed him with her gaze when he disappeared into his room again. Yes, he might have entrusted her some information, but as soon as he did, he had grown icy and distant again, completely pushing her away and avoiding any sort of further interaction. It was difficult for her to deal with him and since she knew that she was still stuck with him, this time on this seemingly hostile, foreign planet, she started to get a little angry again. When the hot rage spread through her body, she noticed that the voices from the house's past grew louder again and instead of focusing on being annoyed by him, she decided that she could use her heated emotions for something else. She took a deep breath and headed for her assigned room. Meanwhile she knew that it was his brother's and so she started to mediate, searching for further information. She needed some time to concentrate bit when she managed to do it, she sensed a whole bunch of emotions. He loved his brother dearly and they had made many pleasant memories in this very room. Feeling Ronan genuinely happy and not bitter for a moment made the corners of Hailee's mouth twitch. However, She soon felt that when his family disappeared, all that was left was pain and anger, to which she could relate so well. She knew that she had to be careful right now, because if either he -or even worse, his master- sneaked into her mind right now, she might get into trouble. She tried her best to keep her breath calm and steady while she got up and wandered through the room, touching certain pieces of furniture. She ran her fingers over the fabric of the dark armchair that was placed opposite the bed, realizing that both, his brother and Ronan himself had sat in this chair before. Again, she felt a hint of sadness fighting its way into her consciousness, but she tried to push it away. She was aware of the fact that emotions were dangerous and that she couldn't let them taint her perception, but she was way too involved in all of those intense memories anyways.

Ronan flopped down on his bed, burying his face in the sheets, and wondering why he was such an idiot. He rolled over onto his back and stared at the stone ceiling. This had been his home ever since he was an infant- and he could never decide if the memories were happy or not; either way, he didn’t like to re-live them. He pulled himself up and paced his room, trying to decide what to do next. He had a girl living in his childhood home- he didn’t know if that was better or worse than sleeping in the same bed as a girl on his ship. He spent more time on his ship than he did his own home. That reminded him- he needed to make sure the heating module was being fixed by the droids. He left his room and walked out to where his ship was docked.

Hailee decided that she did enough snooping around for now, also realizing that focusing on those echos from the past was pretty exhausting. She actually felt a little drained but she couldn't blame herself for feeling that way as she did not only experiment with the Force, but she was also physically exhausted through Ronan's so called 'training'. She let herself fall onto the bed with a sigh and closed her eyes for a moment, trying to relax. But after a few minutes she heard Ronan leaving his room and heading outside. She sat up immediately, almost jumping to her feet and started to silently sneak after him. Where was he going? Hailee was not just bored but extremely curious, not only to see what he was up to, but also because he might just offer her a chance to escape from this house.
