I don't think any of us are in a position to tell Norway how to handle how they punish this person.

No, we cant tell Norway how to punish their criminals, but that does not mean we have to like their choices. I really dont think discussions in a star wars rp site is going to influence them in the slightest.

However, that said, we are all people and have our opinions on this. If we wish to discuss this and believe that Norwegian Law is crap than that is our freedom to do so. In my humble opinion, I think 21 years is nothing. Its more of a slap to the face of the families who lost loved ones to this monster then a punishment for the crimes he committed.

You can dispute this of course, and I have the utmost respect for you and your opinions, but I do not care what position I am in. I do not care that I am not a law major in college, so I can not be a reputable source for my opinions. I do not care that I am not Norwegian, so the choices made by their country should not effect me or include me at all, however, I firmly believe that Norwegian Law made a mistake.

Speaking of nuts...it seems the Westboro Baptist Church is going to Norway to picket the children's funerals.

Please tell me you are joking. Those guys are beyond nuts and I really hope that Norway denies their passports.

Someone is going to kill those people one of the days, and it wouldn't surprise me if it happened in Norway. That's the most shameful thing they've ever done.

Agreed.

Those people are batshit crazy.
I've had two run ins with them. They are the most disgraceful, pathetic excuses fo human beings I know. They're going to get hurt and I'm not going to give one damn.

Definition of irony: After almost ten years of not having a successful terrorist attack against an airplane, the first successful plane downed just happens to be the trans-Atlantic flight that carries the Westboro "Baptist" Church.

The only tragedy in that would be everyone not in the group that happened to die with them (excluding, of course, the terrorist).

I hate to be so despairing of other people....

BUT

Westboro Baptist Church people should all be pushed out of the trans-atlantic flight they board to go harass grieving families. If there is any justice in the world, they'll lock these people up instead of giving them the 1st Amendment as a shield for their poison.

I support the death penalty, maybe not the way Thailand enforces it, but I support it in the right cases.

Hmm death penalty.. I could say, "What gives us the right to decide who lives and who dies" but considering he did that very thing when he killed those people, I say show him what it feels like to victimised in that sense.
