After they left Nar Shada'a, Jenton turned on the ship's autopilot, then stood up. He told Eris to follow him and walked back into the massive cargo hold. There were two long metal rods leaning against a wall. He grabbed them and handed one to Eris. Confused, she looked at it, and then at him.

"What's this?" She asked.

"You wanted a lightsaber, didn't you?" Jenton responded.

"Well, yeah, but--this is a stick."

"You need to know the basic motions first."

Eris was still perplexed, but she did not argue. Jenton demonstrated a few grips, and she tried all of them. She found she was most comfortable with a one handed grip. She waved the rod around a bit, then thrust it forward.

"Very good. Now, how would you defend yourself?" Jenton quizzed her.

Eris held the rod in front of her, diagonally.

"Correct, now, if someone swings at your side?"

Eris pictured someone swinging a saber at her neck and held the rod up to block.

"Excellent." Jenton said. "Now, you seem to be good with the offensive, and your natural reflexes will guide you in a battle, so..." He raised his rod. "Let's duel."

They swung at the same time, their sabers clashing. They continued to parry each other's swings until Jenton started to press against Eris's rod. Eris pushed back. She pulled her lightsaber away and thrusted forward, the end touching Jenton's chest before he could blink, let alone react. He sighed in defeat and grinned.

"Your speed will definitely be an advantage." He said. "Use it well."

Eris nodded, and they returned to the cockpit to land on Coruscant. Eris didn't ask what they were doing. It wouldn't matter anyways. They walked out of the hangar and caught a cab to an old diner.

Trouble-maker Amerath Candroon is sitting down in the diner. He has to admit that it is a nice diner... A very shame what is soon to happen. The thing is that wherever Amerath goes, trouble is never far away.

Amerath is hunching his head down right with the newspaper he is reading. "Interesting..." mutters Amerath to make sure no one thinks of him as a dodgy character or not at all show any interest. What is so interesting about a man reading a newspaper?
Amerath finishes the final sentence of the article he is reading and then smacks it down right on the table without meaning to. However, the music of the diner is blocking out the smack so only one face is briefly alerted to him. With his hand not far from his pocket - where his gun is, he walks over to the bar-like place.
"Hey there", says a lady behind the counter. "What can I do for you, sir?"
Amerath hesitates to speak and briefly looks at the menu. "I'd like that", he says pointing towards a classic soup.
"Soup?" asks the lady, making sure her assumption was right.
Amerath, without looking at her and searching for an opportunity to steal something, nods and lets of a small, "mhm."
He plans on stealing something. Of course after his soup. He truly is starving as it wasn't long since he escaped Tatooine and the prison of Alderaan. He still hasn't had the chance to properly eat.
"There you go!" exclaims a voice that draws his attention to the counter. The lady has brought him the soup. "Would you like to pay now or-"
Without listening to her properly, he picks up the soup and turns around. With his back facing her, he loudly mumbles, "Bill please."
Amerath then takes his soup to his table. After placing it on the table, he then takes his seat and begins to stir his soup to stop it from burning his tongue. After a few moments of stirring, he then raises his spoon and sips the soup. He does all of this whilst searching for an opportunity to steal something.

Eris eyed the man at the bar. Even though he had not given her any reason to be wary of him, she still was. She could tell he was scanning around, but for what, she didn't know. Something about him bothered her, she just couldn't put her finger on it.

"Evening, folks." A perky waitress said, interrupting Eris's internal monologue. "What can I get for you."

Eris hadn't looked at her menu, not being very hungry. She opened it quickly and started scanning. "I'll have the chicken and rice, please." She said.

"The soup?"

Eris nodded. Jenton ordered a burger, and the waitress bounced off. Eris went back to observing the only other man in the place. That was odd, shouldn't this place be more busy at dinnertime? It was almost deserted. The waitress brought their food within a few minutes, and they ate quickly. Eris stood up and pretended to be walking over to the games. On the way, she lingered a bit next to the man, looking over his shoulder to try and get an idea of what he was up to. She couldn't find anything worthwhile, all he had was a newspaper, but she lingered just a moment longer.

As the diner itself was a popular place, it wasn't home to many unusual characters. The odd rough-and-ready duo, the sleepy drunk, all the classics were there. And so Drifter decided that this place would be alright to take a break for a bit.

Taking a seat near the back, his bright red cloak and eyes did little to make him invisible to the eyes of many. It's not often one sees such a heavily cloaked figure in the city, much less one with a gun and lightsaber strapped to his waist. He looked over the menu, waiting for the waiter to arrive to take his order. Soup seemed like the popular choice, but some stew always warmed him better.

Waiting patiently for his turn, he took notice of a girl watching over a boy's shoulder. He mused slightly at why he could feel a slight pull to the two, but he decided to ignore it for the time being.

The sound of a waitress asking his order brought him back to reality, and he turned up to her. "Stew?" He said, raising an eyebrow.

"Anything else you would like?" She asked. Drifter shook his head, and went back to watching whatever it was in front of him unfold.

For a moment he questioned if he took a wrong turn somewhere. Jhin wasn't sure if this was the way to the hanger or not. After concluding his business, he wanted nothing more than to relax to the hum of his ships engines. Instead he was welcomed to the roar of a diners atmosphere. Crazy folk, who all had a story to tell. Jhin checked the time, maybe I could go for a bite to eat he debated in his mind.

He found a quiet booth by the corner that was then claimed by him. Jhin had the clearest view of the room from here, could never be too careful when Jedi's and others may be about.

A testament to the service here, a waitress came and asked what he would like to order. Fumbling around with the menu Jhin was hard in thought. What ever tastes good

Amerath has finished his soup. After finishing it, he holds the bowl with one hand and takes it over to the bar.
"Thanks for the soup. It was delicious", he says, appreciating the taste of the soup. After all it was one of the - if not - best meals he'd ever had. Back on Tatooine no meal was truly nice. Not even the cantinas could give you food that tasted satisfying. Mainly just bowls of... whatever they were filled with - could be anything.
Amerath then scans his surroundings in search of an opportunity to do a sneaky grab and rub. Well that's what he likes to call them. He literally grabs something that doesn't belong to him and then runs off with it. However, his eyes are drawn to the girl he exchanged looks with earlier. She is right by a Jedi. In fact there are a few dangerous-looking figures here. He notices some armed with guns and some even with a lightsaber hilt poking out. Deciding it's best not to rob, he starts walking out.
"Excuse me!" calls out the lady at the bar.
Amerath turns around, looking as though he is paying attention which he truly is. "Are you going to pay for that?"
"I ain't got any credits, ma'am", he says, forgetting that he needs to pay the bill. He never intended to as he expected just to hold her at gunpoint originally.
"You'd have to say that to the police force."
Panicking over the situation, Amerath, without thinking, sprints out of the bar and jumps into a speeder someone's in.
"Out of my speeder!" yells the angry passenger. Amerath, remaining silent, throws them out.
"Sorry!" he shouts back as he starts the speeder's engine. He, however, fully well heard the gasp from everyone - including some in the cantina.

Eris, in a rush of impulses and instinct, sprinted off after the speeder. She jumped up, stretching her hands up to latch onto it as Jenton grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her out of the sky.

"Let him go." Jenton ordered. "It's not important."

Eris threw an apologetic glance at the waitress, who just shrugged. She pulled a few credits out of her pocket.

"How much was that man's soup?" She asked.

"Ah, five credits."

Eris counted five credits out of the seven she had and set them on the counter. Jenton smiled a bit, like a father might smile when a child learns to ride a bike. Eris looked at him. He didn't have to say anything, his face did the talking for him. "You shouldn't have done that, but I'm glad you did."

"Ready to go?" Jenton asked.

"Go where?"

"There may be a few battles going on around the galaxy. I'm not sure. I want to contact Lord Bau Zo about it." Jenton said.

Eris was slightly troubled by this. She had just learned the fundamentals of lightsaber combat, now he wanted to put her into battle? Try as she might, Eris could not foresee a positive outcome for this. They decided to wait for a few hours before leaving. The waitress told them she had no problem with it, as long as they didn't start anything. They promised not to, and sat at their table in silence

To Amerath's unfortune,a squadron of police officers are in the way of the streets - in other words the path he is taking. They start to open fire as Amerath is closer. After swearing, Amerath turns round the vehicle whilst evasively maneuvering to dodge the laser beams that erupt from the officers' gun points.
Amerath is alerted by the sound of speeders pursuing him. He briefly turns his head around to see the officers chasing him on their own speeders - two on each speeder. Amerath pulls put a grenade and rolls it on the floor. He hears the screams of many people - men, women and even children. Then the grenade blows up, killing loads of people including the officers. The impact of the explosion sends Amerath flying forward. He lands right outside the diner he was at earlier. He then starts sprinting down the other side of the street. However, little does he know he is heading for an dead end that leaves a drop of hundreds of metres.

The building rumbled and screams rose from outside. A blast shook the building, and Jenton pulled out his Lightsaber. Standing on guard for whatever came next. The man from before landed on the walkway in front of the diner, seemingly spit back up by the streets. He took off running, but not before Jenton saw him. Jenton took off after him, with Eris close behind.

Eris's mind was constantly a mess of questions, with a new one in the collection: Did this guy just blow a place up over an unpaid bill? One part of a her wanted to push him off the nearest ledge, the other wanted to smack him upside the head for being so fatally stupid. All that he would've gotten was a fine and maybe a night or two in jail. She thought. Then it occurred to her that he may have had other offenses on his plate.

Jenton noticed the dead end and the massive drop ten feet in front of them. He had the man trapped now.

"There's nowhere to run!" He yelled, "It's done."

Amerath stops running as he reaches a dead end next to a ledge. Two people are following him behind. "There's nowhere to run! It's done."
Amerath, however, is thinking completely differently. He examines the drop. It is hundreds of metres long, the drop is. But if he is fortunate enough he could land on a car. Better than getting arrested. Amerath smirks and turns around.
"Don't count on it!"
Amerath then turns around and jumps off the ledge. He feel the strong wind blow against his face and hair receiving the strong impact. Amerath then realises it's impossible and that he'll miss a speeder.
Panicking slightly, Amerath comes up with an idea. The only thing left to do.

Amerath hurriedly pulls out the grapple and rope from his belt. He untangles the very few tangles in the rope and holds it like a lasoo. He gets ready to throw it and as he falls past a speeder, he throws it up. Fortunately, the hook manages to catch onto the speeder. The driver, however, doesn't seem to notice.
"Damn!" Amerath yells, knowing it's too risky to try and climb up the rope. He then spots the other lane right below him. Taking his chances, he swings the rope and lets go. He then goes flying into the air and lands right in the back-seat of the speeder.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" exclaims the surprised driver.
Amerath then pulls out his gun and points it at the driver's head. "Please don't!" begs the terrified driver.
Amerath then pulls the trigger, careless of the fact he just murdered someone. He then climbs over into the front seat after chucking the body off board. He then puts his foot down on the pedal and goes whizzing through the air.

Jenton swore under his breath and watched the man, expecting him to fall to his death, but he didn't. Jenton waited, hand on his lightsaber hilt, for his next move. When the man shot the owner of the speeder he had just latched onto, he pressed the button on his lightsaber, bringing it to life. Without a moment's hesitation, he dove for the speeder, lucky for him, he was just able to land on the back of it. He grabbed the thug by the shoulders and started to pull on him, trying to get him away from the steering wheel. Thinking fast, he dove for the man's belt and grabbed for the pistol, fighting for control of the speeder all the while.

Eris ran back into the diner, to the nearest patron. She took the remaining two credits out of her pocket, hoping it would be enough.

"I need to borrow a speeder." She told him.

"Two credits? You're nuts."

"I only need it for a short while, this will cover any gas I use."

The man stared at her, considering. Finally, he caved, took the money, and handed her the keys. She thanked him and ran to the speeder. Eris had no idea how to fly one of these things, but the controls looked simple enough. She turned the ignition on and got it off the ground. It was just like a ship, except smaller and much, much faster. She flew down to where the grenade had gone off and landed the speeder on the floor. It was small enough that it fit within only a few feet of space. Eris turned it off and jumped out, running around. So many were dead, so many more wounded. Eris tended to the injured, ripping her sleeves off to stop the bleeding, using rubble and clothes off of the dead (She apologized to them) to splint broken bones, and getting whoever she could carry to the ambulances that had arrived at the scene. Several of the injured perished, and Eris closed their eyes, tears threatening to spill from hers.

Most people would think they'd escaped. But Amerath knows full well they weren't too far behind. In the corner of his eye, a glowing beam - unmistakably the blade of a lightsaber - is visible. As the lightsaber appears in the corner of his eye, the speeder suddenly jolts. Suddenly he feels a hand grab onto him and try and pull his gun out of his belt. He then starts struggling out of the man's grip whilst trying to drive the speeder.
"Get off!" he growls to the man. He then successfully kicks the man in the chest quite powerfully. "Bastard", mumbles Amerath, spitting on the man as those words come out of his mouth.

Amerath then turns around to focus on his driving. He then yells, "Sh*t!" as he notices they are about to crash into the street - the exact one he blew up. He dives off the speeder and hits a wall which is crumbling down. A tiny bit of rubble lands next to him. Slowed down by a nasty graze on his leg, he then tries sprinting away. However, the output of his trying to sprint turns into a run no quicker than a jog.
"There!" he hears a voice scream. "He's the one who blew us up!"
Amerath then pulls out another grenade and tosses it in hope of killing the Jedi after all he has now come to recognise who his pursuer is. He then dives into an alley to avoid any impact from the grenade's explosion.

The kick landed hard on Jenton's chest, but he was just barely able to keep his footing, ignoring the small crack coming from his ribcage. He was too pumped on adrenaline to feel pain.

The speeder crashing into the street grabbed Eris's attention. She heard someone yell their recognition of the man who was now jogging away from the wreckage. She sprinted for him, ignoring Jenton yelling at her to stay back. She caught up with him, but for some reason, was too hesitant, too soft, to take him down. She watched the criminal's hands. He was pulling something out of his belt. He pulled a pin and tossed it. Eris slid to a stop. It was a grenade. She picked it up and tossed it in an arc, hoping it would go off harmlessly in the air. She didn't want it to kill the thug. He was a terrorist, but she refused to sink to his level.

As she had hoped, it went off in the air, but not harmlessly. Just a few feet in front of her, it exploded. Shrapnel struck her face and chest, and she fell backwards with a small yelp. Her hands flew to her face, which was now bleeding from multiple cuts. There were cuts on her throat and chest, too.

"Eris!" Jenton yelled. He ran over to her. "Oh, no. C'mon, move your hands."

Eris obliged, gingerly pulling her hands away from her face. Jenton couldn't hide the dread on his face.

"Okay, you're okay." Jenton said. "It didn't hit any major veins or arteries."

He took a bit of cloth and pressed it to her face and throat. "Here, hold that there."

Jenton, now fueled by rage at the attempted murder, chased the man, lightsaber out.

"STAND AND FIGHT, YOU COWARD." He roared.

Amerath hears the roar behind him: "STAND AND FIGHT, YOU COWARD!"
Amerath stops and turns around, facing the Jedi who isn't that far away. He then just stares at the Jedi and then down to the lightsaber. "I thought you were more than a sword", scoffs Amerath. He then starts walking side to side. "The Jedi - the most powerful warriors in the galaxy, eh? I thought you guys were warriors of peace. Drop your sword and then we'll fight..." Amerath then readies himself into a stance showing he is ready to fight. "Almost forgot. The Force. Don't use that. If you use those then we all know who the real coward is."

OOC: I'm not really looking for my character to die. I'd like to continue with the PvP but could we please not kill each other? However, I wouldn't mind a scar or fracture/break at all though.

He didn't get to take leave often, and it was hardly leave at that. Tarnit was on layover for two nights on Coruscant, on his way back to Jedi space (he still hadn't purchased his own ship). This was his off day, and he decided to take to the streets, walk around, look for good micro-breweries, and try to avoid his sense of responsibility. After speaking with the concierge at the hotel, she recommended a diner that was not to far away, it was known for its good Coruscanti Ale. Tarnit wasn't a fan of the Coruscanti Ale, but he didn't have any other place in mind. So, he left down the street.

He couldn't help but smile at the people milling about, so frantic about "city life" and generally oblivious to the war that was at hand. Somehow, Tarnit found the distracted craze of these people strangely therapeutic. Closing his eyes as he walked, he stretched out with the force, enjoying the presence of others (and not spiders).

The sound of an explosion shocked Tarnit's eyes open. It was still in the distance, but close enough for people to be frantically running the other way. Tarnit stopped and argued with his sense of duty. He grimaced, submitted and began to jog in the direction of the sound.

He didn't make it far. From out of no where, a speeder crashed 200 feet up the street. A man was running from the scene, and threw another grenade before diving in an alley. Tarnit took his saber off his belt, not igniting it. Slowly closing the distance. A girl picked up the grenade and tossed it in the air before it exploded. Tarnit could feel the force from her, and recognized the lightsaber of her apparent partner.

now within 10 feet, Tarnit saw the the male Jedi charge in anger towards the assailant. Who am I gonna save here... Tarnit was perplexed by this ones anger. Tarnit follows Jenton into the alley and stops while the criminal says his speech.

Tarnit ignites his saber. "Peaceful when the time calls for it. We fight to keep it. It doesn't seem like you are in a position to fight and win, criminal." Tarnit brandished his saber to a defensive position. "I suggest you surrender before me and my colleague here are forced to apprehend you."

Tarnit really didn't want to fight, hoping this one would give up.

Jenton scoffed at the thug's hypocritical demand but decided to humor him, retracting his lightsaber. He held his hands up to show that he had no weapons. Another man--a Jedi--arrived at the scene. Jenton was impressed by his conviction and firmness. However, bomb-boy had a body count. If he wanted a fight, he'd get one. He handed his lightsaber to a bystander, asking her to hold it. She agreed, and Jenton showed his empty hands once again before addressing the other Jedi.

"This is between him and me." He told him. "He wants to fight, so be it." He paused for a moment. "My padawan was hurt in the second explosion. She's in stable condition, but she needs medical attention." He pointed to where Eris was lying.

"Drop the grenades" Jenton turned to face the criminal. "And the gun."

Amerath throws his gun on the floor along with his grenades. He does not sprint towards the jedi. He does not plan to do so at all. Readying himself for a fight, Amerath awaits the Jedi.
"He's right", he growls to the other Jedi. "Back out of this now."

Tarnit growled, "Perhaps I didn't make myself clear!" He walks forward to position himself next to Jenton, watching his rage-filled jedi counterpart. Looking to Amerath, "We aren't going to have a fight, you will surrender or you will be made to."
then back to Jenton, "and may I remind you that your student is need of attention. Not a time to show-boat. Let's finish this and move on." Tarnit was sick of trying to persuade Jedi to be Jedi.

Tarnit then turned back to the criminal, "Last chance."

Amerath silently stares at the two Jedi for a good few moments. He is making up his mind.
"Y'know I ain't got the time to waste", he says. He takes a few steps forward so his weaponry is by his feet. He bends down and grabs them, storing them back into his belt. He then sprints to the wall whilst pulling out his grapple hook.
Amersth then hurls the hook to the roof. The hook grips onto the roof and he is pulled up almost instantly onto the roof.
