As Amerath stepped forward to grab his weapons, Tarnit springs into action. Tarnit leapt forward with a horizontal swing of his blade, aimed right above the guns. If Amerath didn't try and dodge it, he would lose his hands trying to pick up his gear. Continuing his momentum forward, Tarnit lowered his shoulder to ram the criminal in the gut.

Amerath swiftly avoids the swing of the lightsaber. He then notices the Jedi charge at him.
Amerath then gets a firm grip on the floor and manages to grab the Jedi's body still getting knocked back slightly
Amerath drives his knee lightly into the Jedi's chest as a warning. He then shoves the Jedi back slightly.
"Damn. And people call me evil." Angrily, Amerath shouts, "I'm going now! You see I don't want no more trouble!"

Amerath's knee slams against the Jedi's chest, but Tarnit digs his heels hard, to not allow himself to slide far back.

"You've already caused trouble."
Tarnit says steadying himself, and taking a step closer. "The only place you're going is with me. The jedi will decide your fate. Come now, or you will face more trouble."

Amerath stares at Tarnit for a good, quiet few seconds. He then looks at Tarnit and Jenton. Each have a lightsaber equipped and Tarnit almost certainly will use it to prevent the same mistake. Amerath then, before coming to w final decision, looks around and examines his surroundings. He could climb his way out or use his grapple but the Jedi could use the Force.
Admitting defeat, Amerath throws his weaponry on the floor, hangs hid head in shame and holds out his arms, awaiting for his wrists to be put behind his back or tied up.

Tarnit presses the switch on his saber and the blade retreats within the hilt. Behind him, officers are finally arriving on the scene. This time, in riot gear to take down a serious threat.

"Good choice." Tarnit says softly, "And just in time."

He walks up to Amerath, and grabs his wrist tightly, and then begins to walk him to the police.

Passing Jenton, Tarnit nods. "I will be escorting him to the police station." Gesturing to Eris he continues, "Take care of her, and if you would like, meet me there."

Police officers now run up and handcuff Amerath. Tarnit has a brief conversation with the captain, and both the jedi and the criminal are escorted into cars where they are taken to the police station.

Jenton considered the man's suggestion, but shook his head. Eris was still injured, and even if she wouldn't bleed out, infection certainly wasn't out of the question. Looking back, he shouldn't have waited for so long. He kicked himself, ashamed that he had put off getting his padawan medical attention for the sake of revenge. He scooped her up into his arms and waved down a speeder. The driver looked confused, but he agreed to take them to the nearest hospital. Jenton laid Eris down across the back seat and then joined the stranger in the front.

"You wanna fill me in?" The driver prompted

"A thug, a speeder chase, and a grenade." Jenton said, simply.

"Oh, great, that narrows it down." The driver's voice dripped with sarcasm.

"What do you mean?"

The impromptu chaufer gave a loud, annoyed sigh. "So the girl either got cut, beaten, hit by a speeder, or blown up. Is that what you're telling me?"

Now it was Jenton's turn to be annoyed, but this driver was prying for information and well, Jenton didn't do well under pressure. He sighed and retold the day's events, in as much detail as he remembered. The driver listened intently and nodded from time to time.

Once he finished, the driver was speechless, only managing a stunned "Wow..."

This was getting too awkward, but they were at the hospital, anyways. Jenton carried Eris inside and they immediately got her on a stretcher and to the nearest team medical droids. After a tense forty-five minutes, a droid came out of the room and addressed Jenton.

"She is doing very well." It droned. "We had to give her some anesthetic to clean some shrapnel from some of the wounds, but they are all cleaned and stitched up. She can go home whenever she's ready."

Jenton nodded. "Thank you."

He had been about to go in to see her, but she was already up and ready to go. Jenton blinked, hardly able to believe she was recovering so quickly. Her face still bore exhaustion in its purest form, but she was awake and standing up. Aside from the stitched up cuts on her face, you almost couldn't tell she had just been feet away from an exploding grenade.

"Can we go?" She asked. "It smells weird here, and some old guy won't stop moaning."

Jenton had to stifle a laugh, and he nodded. To his surprise, the driver from before was still there.

"You waited for us?" He questioned.

"Figured you'd need a ride back."

"Sir, who's this?" Eric piped up.

"He got us here." Jenton told her, then turned to the driver. "Thanks, by the way."

"Don't mention it."

"I shouldn't be asking for any more, but we need to get to the police station. Can you get us there?"

The driver looked at him, sighed, then grumbled "I'd better be getting paid for this." before turning the street down towards their destination.
