My name in MC is 'JiWinters'.

Favorite server is pvp.legendarycraft.com [Yes, that's the IP address.] Only has 75 slots, but it's a blast. The map's going to get wiped when update 1.8 hits, but that'll be fun because it's more shite for me and my pals to build.

When you build in MC on a PVP or griefing-allowed server, best thing you can do is travel 4-8 day/night cycles away from spawn and build underground. Put some distance between yourself and base. Griefers are less likely to find you and steal your stuff. Also, go -deep- underground and use a well concealed entry, then make like a dwarf and tunnel, tunnel, tunnel! Just have plenty of wood, and don't harvest wood topside near your base, it's obvious where you are when you do that.

I try to play with a group of 2-3 friends if I can. It makes building out in the distance more fun. We usually just build for infrastructure, then raid towns, mining parties, etc etc. We're basically highway bandits.

Plus, on well-established servers, it's very fun to explore the ruins of towns/houses/castles.

Then you're doin' it wrong. Minecraft is easy. Day one: Grab wood, dig underground shelter. Build pickaxe, get stone, get better pickaxe. By the time you're done excavating your first little mine, day 2 is up, and then you can wander around a bit and find a better home/w/e. It's just a game of patience and creativity.

I got it, not a fan of multiplayer, but I had a blast building in singleplayer. It takes a lot of patience and creativity, but once I completed my castle, town, lighthouse, etc, etc It was a nice feeling just looking at it from a distance. But I've moved on from it until a bunch more patches roll out to make the game exciting again.

Patch 1.8 was supposed to come out in two days.. but apparently they haven't tested enough.
