Mismanagement. That was the only word that stood out to Hera Albion about the savanna world of Gravlex Med. First, Imperials under the efforts of Emperor Palpatine, then, remnant forces, then the New Republic just ignoring the planet. A consistent series of mismanagements led to an out-of-control toxic pollution of the atmosphere of what should have been a beautiful world. Hera believed that those who had the power to write these kinds of galactic wrongs should use that power to help the weak and less fortunate.

And Hera had that power.

So a Jedi aid fleet found itself in orbit above the planet. While the locals had tried these past decades to remove as much pollution as they could themselves, it had been a difficult, out-of-pocket expense for a species that had been forced out of their homes so very long ago. Entire generations of Anx had been born, grown up, and died without ever being able to set foot on their homeworld. Now, thanks to the efforts of thousands of brave Anx, the atmosphere had been cleared enough that life could exist on the surface once more. Native flora and fauna were being transplanted down, and soon there would even be natives headed back to start up lives once more.

But the planet was in an extremely delicate state, any shocks to the ecosystem would send the restoration efforts dozens of years back again. The Jedi fleet was here to help speed things along with the restoration, however, they were halted by a signal coming from the surface.

"Gravlex Med is now under the control of the Abraxian Syndicate!" The message read, "Any unauthorized vessels attempting to land on the surface will be shot down and their contents seized!" So, naturally, it fell on the hard hand of Hera Albion to resolve this issue. Having just come from a 'vacation,' Hera had a probational Knight with her, Vanya. This situation provided an excellent learning opportunity, in Hera's mind. Vanya would be able to see exactly how the Jedi negotiated with other factions.

As well as, looking down at a swirling, raging toxic storm, exactly why the Jedi did what they did. Sitting in the cockpit of ARC starfighter, she sent a message herself down to the surface. "This is Jedi Knight Hera Albion, I am coming with my Padawan Learner to open negotiations. I'm sure we can resolve this peacefully."

Soon after, landing permission was granted without a word.

Vanya definitely felt like she was being tested, but the problem was that she had no idea what the parameters of the test were. In the Tests of Fury, Night, and Elevation at least the parameters for passing were clear. This was far more ambiguous.

From the navigator's seat of the ARC-170, Vanya looked down at the swirling cesspit of the surface below, her face twisting up slightly as she looked at it. I guess this is why Mother is so anti-technology, she thought to herself. It was a stain on the planet.

Her pike hadn't fit in the starfighter very well, so Vanya had instead brought only her sword and knife for... whatever confrontation they were facing. A Syndicate? That was exciting! Vanya bet she could put the smack down on some Syndicate thugs. This was exactly what she had wanted to do! Sign up with other likeminded people to help fight for the innocent.

Diplomacy wasn't really on her mind...

The ship set down with landing permissions, and Vanya - apparently a Peasantwan - leapt from the ship. It didn't quite go as planned. The second her feat hit the wing to climb down, she felt like she'd gained about 75 lbs. She struggled to stand up under the additional weight of her own body and decided that this was not her favorite planet.

This would make combat significantly more difficult.

Okay. This complicates things. Have you dealt with this Syndicate before? she asked the other woman. "Master Albion" was apparently the correct way to address the woman. Felt kind of weird, but okay.
