Okay so here's the OOC for our mission. I think we should:

1. Establish a posting order

2. Make an action plan that fits our Character's strengths

3. Kick some pirate booty. (Heh, I made a pun.)

Okay so just to start this off, for posting order I'll start the thread with a "Setting" type post and then ya'll can fight over second and third. I'm kinda picky about sticking to the established order. XD

As for character strengths mine are: Pyrotechnics, CQC, and Battle Planning

I say just post what your strengths are and then we can come up with a plan to utilize all our strengths.

So we need to disperse their fleet before we can land, right? Anyone have a ship? I may be able to get a ship from Sisk, but seeing as it isn't strictly a Protector mission I don't know.

You can have a ship. Take your pick from gunships and troop carriers.

I was thinking sneaking aboard the station with a stolen ship and destroying their fleet with the space station and civilian help. Of course I do love a good dog fight

Yeah, you can always say the main force is fighting the pirate fleet while your Stathas poses as a freighter and lands troops on the station. You could even let the pirates capture the ship and they'd probably reel you in thinking they got an easy catch... little do they know, all of you are aboard waiting to rush them the moment they try to open the air lock.

Alternatively, Graves could use his command, the Darasuum Haran, a Kom'rk-class Destroyer. That destroyer, along with a group of gunships and starfighters, would be more than enough to eliminate a ragtag pirate fleet composed of lightly armed freighters, a few corvettes, and a single frigate.

Or that. Lots if resources available with a protector along.

Okay I guess what we need to decide next is whether we want to sneak aboard or blow our way in. And secondly are we going to work with a large force or small force.

I'll let the two guys participating vote over it. As soon as we get this squared away I'll make the first post.

If we go with a large force:

1 Kom'rk-class Destroyer
30 Starfighters
72 Bes'uliike
1 Stathas-class Gunship/Troop Transport
2 Crusader-class Gunships
2 Vhe'viin-class Gunships

We'll blow through their Navy and then storm the station encountering heavy resistance.

If we go with a smaller subversive force:

1 Stathas-class Gunship

We sneak in take out the pirate forces on the station, then use the civilians to engage the Pirate's Navy with Junkfort station's gun emplacements. While the Pirates are engaging the space stations the larger force mentioned above ^^^ comes in and crushes what is left once we signal them.

Just let me know which story line you prefer and I'll set it up. Work got cancelled tonight so I'm free. :D

I vote for the second option, but I'm cool with either. Graves strengths are commando oriented so being part of a small target force would work well. He isn't stealthy, just a smart elite fighter.

Also he does command a rather big ship, as Vencu so kindly pointed out, so I'm really happy with either.

Okay that's what I would prefer too and then if we feel like it we can join the space battle. Two is the majority so unfortunately Nevermore's opinion doesn't matter. (JK of course it does, especial as the "Senior" member on this mission.) I'll start writing up the thread now.

EDIT: How many men do you think we'll need with us? The Stathas holds around 1,000 I think.

Posted!

I know it's long but it's just to get the setting and action plan down.

The Stathas only can carry about 200 warriors fully converted to a troop transport. It's only 150 meters long. Take into consideration all the gear you need to bring to arm th civvies, and you're looking at 75-100 warriors. Should be more than enough for the initial capture until they can be reinforced.

Okay thanks for that information we'll take all 100 then. I was simply calculating based on the 1500 Metric Ton cargo hold and basing it off of weight not size, so thank you.

Yeah, some of the space is taken up by ammunition, too. Don't forget that.

Cuyan, I just sent you two messages about the thread. It's about some minor corrections that need to be made. I think you mistook this mission as something occurring within Mandalorian territory, which it isn't. It's actually well outside our area of influence, but since our push into the Core resulted in the GA retreat, we are honor-bound to assist these people. Also, the Stathas is one of our ships and it is highly unlikely that a ragtag piracy ring could get a hold of one. I think Sisk mentioned it so that you could use one to get in close. Check the MandalMotors Product Catalog. The Stathas is very well equipped for such a situation.

Another thing, and this is not so much of an issue as a question, but weren't you going to use Wallace's Kom'rk-class Destroyer to engage the pirate fleet first? Just curious. I thought that's what everyone decided on, but I see you did it differently in the thread itself.

Fixed the Mandalorian Space issue.

I might have been mistaken but I thought we had decided to sneak aboard the station and then engage the pirate fleet. I could be wrong but that's what I had intended.

Waiting on your response to my PM for the Stathas issue.

We could say that my destroyer is engaged in space combat just as a point that we could fall back on if we want to engage the remain space adversaries after taking the station.

Quick disclaimer, I have not yet read the post yet. I will in a moment.

Okay I guess I mistook the direction we were going. I'd be glad to change it if those involved feel like they really wouldn't enjoy the current direction of the Thread. I'm very flexible.
