She ignored Silex discontent for now, wanting to get the hell out of there first. Once they were inside her ship, they fortunately took off immediately and she relaxed in the co-pilot chair, trying to become a little more sober. She definitely owed her an explanation. After all, she had saved her, but she had no idea now to explain it." I am so sorry...I have no idea what had gotten into me" she lied at first, because she actually knew what had gotten into her. "I know that was...foolish and stupid. But it felt like a distraction" she tried to elaborate, but she knew that it wasn't making any more sense now. Helplessly she looked back at her, hoping that she wouldn't judge her too hard. She couldn't believe that he had made her go that far..,

Silex shook her head and crossed her arms. She had officially entered big sister mode. "No. That is not an explanation. You need to tell me what the hell is going on and you need to do it now. You are not only endangering your life, you are endangering mine and if you want my help you better start talking," she said in a no-nonsense tone. It had only been a few days and already Silex had grown to like the girl.

The interesting thing was that even though she had never possessed an actual family, she assumed that she was starting to build up feelings for Silex close to how it might feel like. Silex cared for her, and Hailee cared for the slightly older woman as well. She had helped her so much and they were getting along great, even though Hailee had been sure at first, that she would never enjoy anyone's company at first. That's why she wanted to explain it to her so badly. She wanted to be honest, but it was so difficult. She sighted desperately, collecting her thoughts for a moment with closed eyes. "It is such a long, terrible story...let's say feelings of revenge came over me. I thought that by kissing this stranger, it would get better, but it didn't quite help. It was merely a distraction, but I helped my to cope with my anger...at least to some extent" she admitted softly, but it was also painful. Yet it was good to get it off her chest.

Silex uncrossed her arms and sat down. "Revenge? Who would you want to get revenge on?" she asked in a softer voice. Suddenly it clicked. The Sith. "The Sith... were they the one..." she started. The rest of the pieces started to fall into place and Silex realized they were indeed quite similar. Her face softened. "I have tried the route of revenge. All it got me was some scars and more doubt," she said.

She let another sigh, as this was still anything but easy, but after all, it seemed like Silex understood her. She felt sober all of a sudden. The kissing, their escape and now this interesting conversation. It had all sobered her up rather fast. But now that she went on, she wondered what had happened to her. Somehow, it seemed like they have walked a similar path. "I know revenge is stupid...but I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I didn't know how to cope with it...he...he had messed with me over and over again" she went on, hot tears dwelling in her eyes already. Should she let the emotions out? She had no idea. She was desperate, that was something she was certain of. She wished she could have found a way to erase all of those memories, but it seemed like there was no way out. He had changed her so hard, that she felt like she was losing herself a little. "How did you find the way back on the right track? And who did this to you?".

Silex was quiet for a little. "You can't trust the Sith," she replied. She paused at Hailee's questions. "I am honestly still trying to find my way back. I was on spurt where I tried to overcompensate for everything that I had done; trying to do good things in the galaxy." she said. She paused once more, before speaking, her voice quiet. "When Felucia was taken by the Sith, I was kidnapped by a Champion and forcibly trained in the dark side. The worst part is, I stayed on their side for a long time, and I actually believed their lies." she said. Shame crept into her voice.

"I don't trust the Sith. He was trying to turn me, but I resisted!" she defended herself loudly, but calmed herself afterwards. It was partly true. She had seen that power was something beautiful and that you could draw strength out of intense emotions, but she knew that it was wrong from a Jedi perspective. The interesting thing was, however, that Silex seemed to have fallen for the same. " I am sorry...I had no idea. I still cannot believe that we are so much alike. Just like you, I made a mistake by succumbing to the darkness, but I merely touched its brink. I am holding on to the Light with all I can" she insisted, rubbing her temples. She got up, leaning closer to her, rubbing her arm in sympathy. "I would say you are clearly on the right track. You had no reason to help me and yet you did" she reminded her softly.

Silex was silent as Hailee's voice rose. "The light has made mistakes too. There could not be shadows if there was no light to cast them, just like there would be no light if there weren't any shadows to illuminate," she replied. As she said the words she was filled with a chilly calm that quickly washed away any anger that might have arisen at the memory. He had said those words to her, and he had said them so softly, so tenderly, that in the moment, she had felt safe. She had never felt safe again after that moment.

"We are indeed alike," she replied. She didn't say anything to Hailee's last comment. She had plenty of self-blame to last long past her days, and felt no need to share them with her. Her words warmed her a little, anyway, and Silex relished that feeling, knowing that doing something was having a positive effect on someone else. This was much different than the cold satisfaction she felt whenever she had proved herself to her master.

She could feel the pain of the woman and she could no longer deny that it was affecting her as well. She wasn't in the best mood herself, maybe that was why the tears started to escape her eyes. Her words were truly moving and just so right, it was almost frightening. She wondered whether the Force had brought them together. Sometimes, she was told that the Force made paths cross and it couldn't be coincidence that she had found her. The women that shared some part of her backstory. She, too, had fallen to the darkness. But they were both trying to escape it. "Let us both make a promise. We will not stop fighting back" she declared almost with a hint of solemnity. Maybe that was still the alcohol's effect, but it really seemed like they could both help one another. But one question remained. "Is...he still alive?" she dared to ask the question cautiously, even though she didn't want her to think too much about it.

Silex sat up in her seat when Hailee suggested they make a promise. Her face became solid and unmoving, something she had learned from him. She reached out her hand and gripped Hailee's forearm, allowing the woman to grip her own. "Never stop fighting," she said, her voice reflecting her face. She was a force to be reckoned with.

She dropped Hailee's arm when she asked about him. "Unfortunately, yes," she replied darkly. She turned back to the control board. Endless galaxy awaited them. "The galaxy is ours. Where should we go first?" she said, a rebellious smile twitching the corners of her mouth. The Jedi council would have fallen out of their pretty seats in indignation if they saw her expression now.

Maybe it was a little ridiculous and maybe it was only her drunk mind that found this act so solemn, but she couldn't deny that she loved the message behind it. It was an interesting promise. They both had to keep it. It was not only for the best but also the right thing to do. She warmly smiled at her, giving her an approving nod before the conversation's focus shifted.

From Silex' reaction she knew that she wouldn't want to talk about it. That's why she let it slide. Instead, she wanted to focus on her second question, as this was very interesting indeed. "Well, to be honest, i feel like we could both use some time off. Maybe we should both allow ourselves to relax a little" she replied with a weaker smile, as the seriousness of her last statement was still affecting her.

Silex nodded, noticing Hailee's nervousness. "We can roam the galaxy then, planet hopping," she said, leaning back in her chair. She turned her head to Hailee. "We can take a long vacation, with no one to tell us what to do," she said. She felt much lighter, considering her past was no longer on her mind, and the promise she had just made, despite its seriousness, it gave her something to follow, rather than her fickle heart. It solidified Silex. She turned her head back to the viewport, and smiled at the stars.
