Gaunerei blinked. The thought had never crossed his mind. He knew that whatever Ebberla had decided to do with Vida, was out of love. After all, Ebberla was in Sith custody, but in a different way than Gaunerei. Remembering that, waves of sorrow washed over Gaunerei.

He rested his head on her chest.

"No...It's not that." His fingers brushed her collar bone.

"I'm an idiot. All I can think about is feeling like a father again. I raised almost a dozen little ones myself. Sure, a few of them died from illness or injury that you can treat with just a pill these days. But I loved every minute of being with them. Vida made me so happy. But even with your permission, I can't see her. Because of that bastard's stupid tracking blood." Gaunerei growled. The chaos swirled in him, darkness accenting it and causing his eyes to flash red before Gaunerei quieted down with a deep breath.

Oh, he wanted Geist dead. That was no joke. If he could get that bastard removed, then he could have his freedom again. The worst was that Geist knew Gaunerei was under his thumb. It made the rabbit sick.

"How much would it cost to- Nevermind, you'll lop my head off for the mere thought of it."

Sleep was started to overtake her body again, but the Corellian pushed it away, willing herself to stay awake as she didn't feel like having her nightmares again. He rested his head on her chest and instead of pushing him off, she welcomed his touch, his closeness as he explained his past of being a father. It was clear to Ebberla why he cared so much for Vida, but then again, Vida was something special as the rarity for Jedi to raise families have increased over the last decade.

She looked down at his head as he rested on her bosom, she wiggled a little, getting in a more comfortable position. Her fingers ran through his hair slowly as she fell silent in thought recalling what Geist had done to Gaunerei the day she turned him over.

"It wouldn't cost a thing, I can break it." she said pondering about the ancient Nightsister spell, "Yes, I can break it and you can have your freedom."

Though the question brought into mind would be how soon? She knew if she negated the spell, Gaun would leave and then that would be it. Though it was as she told herself earlier, perhaps as being the moon, she had already condemned herself to loneliness and isolation. For now there was no other way unless there was more time, but time was not a luxury her or anyone else in the galaxy had at the moment.

Gaunerei was started to drift off, his teeth making their content chatter, as Ebberla gently combed through his hair. Her gentle affections were making him practically melt. He felt that he could become a pancake in her arms. He was starting to forget her threats, their past bickering, when Ebberla mentioned something.

At first he muttered in a non-committal throaty grunt. His eyes were half closed. Then, as if jolted by lightning, he suddenly woke up.

"What? You can? That's great! What we gotta do? Fight a Krayt? Wrestle a wampa? Strip?" He gave a sly honk on Ebberla's rump. But he was elated. Just get the details. He could have freedom. He could really mess up this place and then bail.

She knew she would have gotten his attention, except the butt pinch caught her off guard and she let out a yelp of shock and surprise, waving his hand away from her.

"Just some tricks with the Force..." she shrugged sitting up, "Nothing too fancy, just need a safe place to do it so I could focus long enough to complete it."

Ebberla explained, her eyes drifting from Gaunerei as she thought about it some more, conjuring ideas and techniques in her mind. She knew it would take a while and needed enough focus and not worry about getting stabbed.

"Kind of like healing, but more focused and more light-aligned..." she frowned at the latter, she was with the Sith now and it could be more troublesome than she wanted it to be. "But then, you will be able to leave the Dark Lord's radar in peace."

Gaunerei gulped. He laid back on the bed.

"LIght side? Um, when Orlaan would use that stuff on me it burned like hell." He said nervously. Gaunerei also had another reason to be nervous. It could attract unwanted attention. Then the sith would swarm on him like a wasp nest.

"Should we, um, go somewhere?" he asked nervously. He was not entirely sold on having to endure the sensation of being set on fire, but was willing to do it.

Ebb rolled next to him as he laid back down on the bed, "You're adorable. You think I'm going to do it now?" she grinned.

"Just because it won't cost you anything, doesn't mean I get to do it when you want it." she replied tracing the shadows of the war paint on his chest, "I get to chose, it will be at my convenience." she paused, letting out a quiet huff.

"Then you can go where ever your little rabbit heart desires, back to the Jedi, back to Sacul..." Ebb withdrew her hand, tucking it under her head, "Anywhere without worry of being followed."

Gaunerei had to admit that he was enthralled. Her smile had him wrapped around her little finger. What could he possibly do? He closed his eyes as she traced his markings. He was a sucker for women, always had been. Nothing ever changed.

"will you come with me?" he gasped. He then turned red, realizing that he forgot himself. This woman was dangling carrots over him, possibly as part of the trickery of the Dark Council. He was being an idiot. An incredible idiot. For all he knew, Ebberla would install her own mean of tracking him.

"Um...yeah..." He looked nervous.

The shock of the question propped the woman onto one arm, looking down at him. His checks were turning bright red even with the soft illumination from the lights in the room. He realized quickly what he just asked and even though Ebberla knew he was serious, she played it off as a joke.

"Oh? And where would we go? Where could you hide a moon?" she asked him trying to diffuse the situation. She didn't have an answer for him on a more serious level. She would deny with what she has been able to accomplish along with the Sith, but agree due to how desireable to leave behind everything and go somewhere to raise Vida.

"Tell me, did Meadowheart ever have a story for that? Where a rabbit tried to hide the moon?" she asked him, laying back down and resting her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat calm itself.

" Heh...don't try me. If I can steal the sun, I can hide the moon." He joked back nervously. nice save . He wrapped his arms around Ebberla, holding her close to him.

"oh, he had loads of stories. But not that one. I imagine if he did, it would start off with the Rabbit wanting to impress the Moon. So, he thinks of a plan that would have her follow him. But he has trials to go through, for the Moon is great and bright. And many watch her. So, the first thing he does, is distract everyone for a moment, so the Moon can don a cloak made of starlight. Oh what a panic the Old Grey Fox will have when he sees his moon gone!"

Gaunerei took a deep breath. His eyes getting heavy again.

"Then, the rabbit leads the Moon across the sea. Her glittering cloak floating on the waves. They meet many friends, and have a great time together, until finally The Rabbit bring her home to the valley of the flowers..." he sighed.

"That sounds like a plan with too many complications..." she said relaxing, "But a cloak made of starlight sounds dazzling...." Ebberla let a long happy sigh and grinned to herself.

"Then if the rabbit messes up, he will never see when that moon falls on him." she chuckled and fell silent, allowing the comfort of Gaunerei's embrace pull her into a calming sleep.
