This ship still feels rather confused. I understand that you want this to basically be the LAAT/i of this timeline, but it still feels a bit muddled. Remember that we're also one thousand years less advanced than the Clone Wars. So, @Commissar Brett, I'd say lower the armaments (drop the repeaters or lower them to light), drop one pair of cannons.

And for the SpecForce one, if you want it to have a hyperdrive, then it will either have to drop even more guns, and possibly cargo capacity as well, just to accommodate the hyperdrive and the increased power plant that it'd require.

I'll accommodate some of the other requests, but I feel that saying "light repeaters" is pointless. I figure light repeaters are more handheld sorta weapons, like an M249 SAW or an M60. Medium repeaters feel more comparable to a Browning M1919 .30-Cal, and heavy repeaters compare to a .50 like an M2.

Star Wars.
Not RL.
Star Wars = Star Wars rules.
Blaster shots explodes on impact.
Real life machinegun ammo (usually) does not explode on impact.

And even RL rules applied, and your argument held water, I wouldn't approve this thing if it had the equivalent of a .50 cal because they're just as effective against light to medium armoured vehicles.

I'll accept one (1) medium/standard repeater cannon, or two (2) light repeaters, but NOT two (2) heavy repeaters.

As both I and Clayton have repeated several times on these boards: Forget RL comparisons when it comes to Star Wars tech.

You're misunderstanding the comparison. It isn't strength or anything like that. It's merely size and purpose.

Light Repeater - handheld, manportable, squad support weapon.

Medium Repeater - Mounted Weapon, normally crew or single-user operated, sometimes on very light vehicles.

Heavy Repeater - vehicle mounted or turreted, sometimes even coaxial with a tank's blaster cannon.

It's not a repeating CANNON. It's a REPEATER.

I understand perfectly. My post still stands.
