“A form to fill out? Well, let's see, then...

COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
I'm of average height for a human female, standing at a noble 5 feet 6 inches. My hair is of light brown that contrasts well with a pair of simple blue eyes. I keep my hair rigorously trimmed and brushed and tend to allow it to hang loosely down my back. My facial profile is cunningly refined, what with gentle curves about the cheeks and nose, that are of full color.

I've been told that I'm not bad to look at, which is important to this line of work. I tend to keep myself in shape. On stage I wear a snazzy dress suit that's more upscale than functional. It consists of a simple white blouse, tailored black jacket, and straight-cut black slacks. When not on stage, I prefer more nondescript clothing-- traveler's garments-- of loose weather cloaks and wraps. Loose clothing tends to conceal the tools of my spying trade as well as a small lightsaber.

PERSONALITY:
Misdirection is my art form and manipulation is my canvas. As a stage magician, I have to control the audience's expectations and perceptions. As an undercover operative, I have to control how others perceive me and my actions or, better yet, go unseen altogether.

Understanding how the human mind works makes this role infinitely easier. Association and contrast coupled with misdirection can do wonders at evading security and creating new personas. Although I'm a magician, I am also an actor. It is easy for me to slip into new roles as need be. A dash of make-up and a touch of exaggeration and I can be an entirely different person.

I suppose you could say that I enjoy my work although that is not entirely accurate. This is not my vocation, it is what I do. This is who I am: a chameleon. Some might consider it a bad thing and preach that I am not being individualistic. But, the way I look at it, it is simply being true to character. Making more with less and utilizing the little tricks of the trade to get the job done... that is something that not everyone can do. I revel in it.

Oh, don't misunderstand. I am fully loyal to the Imperial Knights. I have little regard for the Sith or for the Jedi. No. My loyalties are to the ideal of the Empire: a forge of stability in this sea of chaos. While I have no doubt that one day the Empire will return to form, I am also aware that I am but a cog in the machinery that brings it to pass. I do not let my dreams blind me to reality. I can further the Empire's return by doing my job to the best of my ability moreso than by sitting around and dreaming of it.

LIKES AND DISLIKES:
A well done stage show. The execution of a brilliant plan. Anything that furthers the Empire's return. A successful disguise. As I've already said, my work is my life. I enjoy those things which I do. I take pleasure in the simple things in life: a sunset, a good meal, a fine sleep. Those are the comforts that I can always rely upon and so I make the most of them.

On the opposite side of the spectrum lie those things that I dislike. I dislike those immoral and lazy beings who do not know what they want out of life-- those creatures who live for the moment above all else. Slavers would fall beneath that category, of course. I do not approve of the Sith or any that pollute the force with their false ideals.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
My strength lies in my cunning and guile; I try to avoid straight-up fights whenever possible. Were I to try and fight a straight duel, I would undoubtedly lose; that is why I have developed all sorts of tricks and traps to even the playing field. My prowess does not lie with the lightsaber, although I have some fair skill with the blade, but with the force. I try not to shackle myself with preconceived notions of what the force can and can not do and instead use the force creatively and in unexpected ways; surprise is a valuable ally and thus I try always to make it mine.

BIOGRAPHY:
I have no real memory of my parents, so who they were and what role they played in my life I know not. Nor does it really care as such influence upon my upbringing was minimal. I grew up in an orphanage. As I came of age, I was frustrated by my surroundings and the general apathy of my peers. I could not bear this life and I refused to be tied down by my lack of heritage. With the urging of my schoolteacher, I decided early on during my formative years that I would climb the ladder of success and I would make a name for myself. Being young and naïve, I opted to learn of the theater, acting and stage production.

I apprenticed and studied and learned how to put on airs and to play a part. It was not easy, despite what many would believe, but I grew and matured and learned of the sciences and arts of acting. However, things were about to take an unforseen turn for the better. In order to graduate from acting school I had to take part in a production. One of the play's architects turned out to be a retired Imperial spy turned recruiter. Impressed with my abilities, he pulled me aside and made an offer that changed my life.

My background being what it was, there was no realistic reason for me to turn down such an offer. At that point, I was drafted into Imperial Intelligence and my past was wiped clean. It was hardly glamorous work at first. The amount of learning and study involved was disheartening. But I refused to be dissuaded. I applied myself over again, interned and succeeded.

Part of tests conducted at my initiation into Intelligence revealed that I was a force sensitive. Imagine my amazement at learning that. I accepted the invitation to force training and apprenticed underneath an old Imp Knight: Bartholomew AnDiaz. Bart was a fair man who understood exactly what I was going to be trained to do. I apprenticed under him for a good many years and continued my intelligence studies on the side. The last I heard, he died in the recent Sith route.

Eventually, I proved myself worthy of field work; it was there that I flourished. I had a high affinity to the work and it fit me, to borrow a phrase, like a glove. I did well there and quickly moved up the ranks. During this time I continued to pursue my studies in the force.

Then the Sith returned and everything came apart at the scenes. I was one of the few that refused to follow the Sith and instead went underground along with the rest of the Imperial Knights. My unique skills, however, made me less than suited to the Imp Knight standard routine. Instead I continued to fill the role of field operative and undercover agent. To that end, I was going to need mobility.

Given my background, the life of a traveling performer seemed like a good fit and a perfect cover. The ability to move from world to world was a necessity and a retinue would do the job. I studied stage magic and slight of hand, having always been intrigued with the craft and feeling that my studies of human psychology would aid that occupation, applied a little of my old studies, and created a stage act. Capitalizing upon this act, I forged a new identity, that of: Natale Rivari.

That has been my cover for a good while now. By day, Natale Rivare is a master illusionist and performing stage magician. By night, I gather intelligence and recon for the Imperial cause. It is a life that I thoroughly enjoy and do not expect to change any time soon. That is who I am and how I came to be.

This is awesome. Perfectly works with the ethos we're going with: where intelligence and cleverness will win out over sheer power.

Also too, this should totally be her picture.

Truly, Jacques, you never cease to be able to capture the zeitgeist of the moment.

I do think an interesting character hook here is for why such a glamorous character would go into such an unglamorous field. Perhaps like so many women she felt she'd be taken more seriously? There's certainly an undercurrent of chauvinistic authoritarianism to the Sith Empire, so the more egalitarian Knights would be a great home for her.

Look forward to RPing that kind of character development, Solo.

I don't want to over exaggerate how I feel about this character.

****ing. Awesome.

This is definitely the kind of character we need right now. I've already thought of about five ideas I'd love to use her for, which means Pros has about ten better ones. Welcome aboard.

Many thanks, guys. I'm looking forward to what'll come of all this.

There's certainly an undercurrent of chauvinistic authoritarianism to the Sith Empire, so the more egalitarian Knights would be a great home for her.

That was pretty much it, really. Natale accepting the Intelligence offer was her way of using irony to even out the playing field. She was going to be treated as second-hand either way. So it was better to be treated second-hand while swiping state secrets than to just take it on the chin.

Also, I am highly amused at your Zatanna picture. I'll have to use that as a disguise basis one of these days. XD

I'm a sucker for DC animation. Tip of the hat to your Batman: Brave and the Bold avatar.

And excellent. Should be interesting RPing with her. Balthazar himself is a bit paternalistic, so he'd make an interesting spymaster for her.
