Nathan Braxon
Nathan Dominic Braxon, also known as Senator Braxon, was a Senator and aristocrat in The Force Eternal era.
Representing the planet Begamor in the Outer Rim, Braxon was one of the youngest Humans ever elected to the Galactic Senate and was a notably astute political operator.
Recent Events
Braxon recently negotiated an alliance between Begamor and Gatalenta, including mutual defence, unified armed forces and land acquisition. Online conspiracy websites have also linked him to the assassination of his former rival, Elspeth Berg, an event which has now consolidated his political influence on Begamor.
Early Life
Born into a noble family long fallen from grace, Braxon had a difficult childhood. His parents competed with their rivals without the will or wealth to succeed, leading to many disappointments, setbacks and spiralling social and financial ruin.
Taking up the professional politics he had grown up with in his spare time, he was a prominent political activist in his youth and was ultimately selected to stand for local office after a highly unusual series of events.
Securing dispensation from the military, Braxon fought and won his first election and quickly developed a strong local profile on Begamor, where his combination of youth, pragmatic politics and embrace of modern technology made him appeal to a wide base.
Later nominated for the Galactic Senate despite his relative inexperience, he surprised pundits and the public by both securing the nomination and winning the subsequent election, in the face of heavy critique and a Supreme Court lawsuit.
Personality & Traits
Despite a prominent and charismatic public profile, Braxon’s appearances and interactions were tightly controlled by he and his team, with few in depth interviews and very little confirmed about the personality and character of the man behind the politician.
Fiercely private about the details of his family traumas and personal struggles past and present, Braxon was nonetheless the subject of several tabloid articles suggesting he was secretive, manipulative and obsessed with power. A consummate politician and public performer, it was still claimed that he could display a violent temper if his plans or campaigns were disrupted.
Relationships
- Lok Skyshatter - Bodyguard and right hand man
Skills, Abilities & Powers
Braxon was highly intelligent, creative and cunning. He displayed great charisma and a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy, able to connect with almost any voting demographic. Ordered and disciplined from his military training, he was often prepared all eventualities in advance and was highly resilient.
He was believed to have had combat training and understood to maintain his annual weapons handling and tactical qualifications, though he had no front-line military experience. Even after joining the Galactic Senate, his physique remained suggestive of a regular gym routine.
Though known to no one but Braxon himself, he was Force-sensitive and developed an organic proficiency for technometry. He was otherwise unskilled and untrained in the use of the Force.
