New Grand Tournament

Who would all be interested? I intend to do a better job and make a system which will involve random selections for location, types of matches, combatants, etc.

By the way, I moved all the threads in the Grand Tournament board to the Grand Tournament Archives board for you.

And I'd join with Nexus, but, we'd have to have a system of power brackets, like in boxing. 'Cuss no matter how you look at it, if I were to face someone like Vig's Jawa, he'd be dead.

Once that's figured out, I'd join. Granted it happens after the 24th.

The way I see it, this time everything will be random. I plan on submitting a plan to Bac and having him OK it before we start.

Also, there will be a veteran's tournament (probably in the Diverse section), where you can use your old characters.

I'd think twice about joining if my main character was going to die. I know we're meant to be happy for them to die, but yeah...

I'd say no deaths...

Of course, its still a random chance he'll get the death stipulation for his match.

That i can live with, but if every single match was win or die, i'd think twice.

What about serious injuries? Such as chopping off a leg where it could be healed either by having a good healing person, or getting cyber limbs.

I am game for the Tourney! I have been waiting for this since I joined. I have done three Duels in my time here, and I love it. So I am game and I think losing limbs or serious injuries should be game too ... after all it is a GRAND Tournament...

I remember the last Grand Tournament I fought in... Against Damien as Bo. Great Fight. And then there was the TX VS Mandalore fight. That one was good too. Actually, that one was the best fight I'd ever been in.

I would much rather see no deaths in the Grand Tournament. This is supposed to bring people together for more RPs and really increase the amount of RPing on the site. Many people in this thread have already stated that they would have to think twice about joining if their were deaths. When the Grand Tournament comes, we should want members to sign up without hesitation. No deaths would allow that to happen.

Matchups will no longer be random, as Bac pointed out to me, it wouldn't be fair if Nexus faced a Jedi Padawan. I will make the matchups and make them fairly.

Other things are being worked out, there will not be a death stipulation though.
