New Mandalorians​

The New Mandalorians, known to hardliner Mandalorians as the Faithless, were a group of Mandalorians who placed great importance on virtues of pacifism, neutrality, and nonviolence. Based out of New Mandalore, with members hailing from all Mandalorian clans, they had turned their backs on the violent ways of their ancestors, instead using the Mandalorian talent for engineering and construction to create instead of destroy.


HISTORY
In the years before the Clone Wars, a pacifistic movement within Clan Kryze lead to the Mandalorian Civil War, with the pacifistic elements emerging victorious and forming a peaceful government on Mandalore. Duchess Satine Kryze claimed the throne, and was the leader of Mandalore till a coup lead by Darth Maul, and his Death Watch minions, deposed and executed her. While this brought about the end of the New Mandalorians and their ideals on Mandalore, a group fled persecution on Mandalore and ultimately settled on uninhabited world that they named New Mandalore. Even when Bo-Katan Kryze successfully ousted Maul Mandalore, the surviving New Mandalorians did not believe it safe to return to the Mandalorian sector.

Over the year the settlement prospered, and attracted more survivors from across the Galaxy, along with new converts to their way of life. At present the New Mandalorians have spread across New Mandalore, with a few small cities spread across the planet and the habitable moons. Though much of the population still lives in small settlements.


CULTURE

The New Mandalorians are a peaceful people, and have turned their backs on the violent ways of their ancestors. But while they have rejected that one core tenet of the Mandalorian people, they still hold true to many of the ideals that define a Mandlorian. They still value their family and clans above all else, and welcome anyone to join their ranks as long as they wish to learn the Mandalorian way of life.

Another change from the ways of old is a rejection of the emphasis on strength, and clan leaders are no longer forged through battle, but rather elected. With a number of clans having settled on New Mandalore, each clan is lead by an elected leader, who in turn represents the clan on the Ruling Council that governs the planet. Many smaller clans, lacking the numbers to seek direct representation, align with one of the larger clans, or band together with other clans to pick a representative. Member of the Ruling Council are elected every four years, and elect a Duke or Duchess to precide over the council, who in turn assigns ministries to its various members.


ASSETS
The New Mandalorians are not prosperous, with only a few small cities where commerce and trade prospers. Numerous small engineering and construction firms litter the planet, run independently by various clans anda families. The planet does not have much in the way of trade, the engineering, construction, and research contracts arranged by the Ruling Council from nearby planets being the primary source of income.
