A Wookiee. That's a creature he had only heard tales of in the past. He had heard tales from his companions back on Felucia all those years ago about Wookiees, that they were gargantuan creatures covered in fur and incapable of speaking basic. What had he gotten himself into? How could he coexist and team up with a creature that he was unable to communicate with? The time to find out was near. Xakoxa inspected the freighter that would be hauling he and his companion by the name of Larfull to the forest moon of Endor. The moon became infamous as the staging ground of the two pronged attacked orchestrated by the Rebel Alliance in 4 ABY to destroy the Second Death Star and bring the reign of the Galactic Empire to a grinding halt. While the attack was a success and ultimately the Emperor fell- Endor was far from safe. The planet underwent a cataclysmic fall-out of space debris raining from the heavens as a result of the battle taking place over head. Countless creature lost their lives and homes after the carnage, and even the sentient Ewok species took a debilitating toll from the destruction. He waited for Larfull to arrive in the bay where he went over the mission brief once more.
The mission was to travel to the forest moon, and do what was necessary to retrieve the lost Talisman of the Raven. This item was necessary for Xakoxa to complete his final step in Beast-warden training, as this will give him the final strand that connects him to the mind of the wild. The item was last traced through divination by the elder shaman Yota to the forest moon, but is unconfirmed where- or worse -if it's still intact. This mission not only served as a mean for Xakoxa to retried the final piece of his puzzle, but gives him a chance to meet his new initiate and begin instruction to a fellow beast-warden. Last but not least, Xakoxa was hoping to salvage a cruiser of his own to serve as his flag ship, as well as scout for any individuals capable of becoming his crew aboard the ship.
Xakoxa was beginning to ponder just how the Talisman entered the Endor system, and the more he wondered the more concerned he became. But these would be concerns to raise with his companion en route to Endor. Xak began inspecting his weapons- checking the action and thermal clips for his blaster, unwinding and retracting his Acklay Coil blade, and finally visually examining the blade of his darkstick inspecting for any nicks, cracks, or other malformations that would impede performance. The moment of launch was drawing near. Legs his Acklay companion was crouched in a resting position next to the boarding ramp to the freighter, and now it was just a matter of time until Larfull arrived.
