A Wookiee. That's a creature he had only heard tales of in the past. He had heard tales from his companions back on Felucia all those years ago about Wookiees, that they were gargantuan creatures covered in fur and incapable of speaking basic. What had he gotten himself into? How could he coexist and team up with a creature that he was unable to communicate with? The time to find out was near. Xakoxa inspected the freighter that would be hauling he and his companion by the name of Larfull to the forest moon of Endor. The moon became infamous as the staging ground of the two pronged attacked orchestrated by the Rebel Alliance in 4 ABY to destroy the Second Death Star and bring the reign of the Galactic Empire to a grinding halt. While the attack was a success and ultimately the Emperor fell- Endor was far from safe. The planet underwent a cataclysmic fall-out of space debris raining from the heavens as a result of the battle taking place over head. Countless creature lost their lives and homes after the carnage, and even the sentient Ewok species took a debilitating toll from the destruction. He waited for Larfull to arrive in the bay where he went over the mission brief once more.

The mission was to travel to the forest moon, and do what was necessary to retrieve the lost Talisman of the Raven. This item was necessary for Xakoxa to complete his final step in Beast-warden training, as this will give him the final strand that connects him to the mind of the wild. The item was last traced through divination by the elder shaman Yota to the forest moon, but is unconfirmed where- or worse -if it's still intact. This mission not only served as a mean for Xakoxa to retried the final piece of his puzzle, but gives him a chance to meet his new initiate and begin instruction to a fellow beast-warden. Last but not least, Xakoxa was hoping to salvage a cruiser of his own to serve as his flag ship, as well as scout for any individuals capable of becoming his crew aboard the ship.

Xakoxa was beginning to ponder just how the Talisman entered the Endor system, and the more he wondered the more concerned he became. But these would be concerns to raise with his companion en route to Endor. Xak began inspecting his weapons- checking the action and thermal clips for his blaster, unwinding and retracting his Acklay Coil blade, and finally visually examining the blade of his darkstick inspecting for any nicks, cracks, or other malformations that would impede performance. The moment of launch was drawing near. Legs his Acklay companion was crouched in a resting position next to the boarding ramp to the freighter, and now it was just a matter of time until Larfull arrived.

Larfull followed the directions he had been given to the bay where the freighter the pair was supposed to take. The wookiee wondered how communication would be. Certainly he could understand what his partner would say if he spoke basic but wouldn't be able to speak back unless the person he was paired with might not understand Wookiee.

Larfull walked into the bay and found his partner checking his gear. Lifting his huge left paw the Wookier waved to get the attention of the human male awaiting him.

The wookiee carried simple gear. His bowcaster was carried In his right hand. For this mission the Wookiee had left his mechanical tools stored in his own freighter.

Not the Wookiee wished had taken the time to make a traditional Rykkr blade when he was on back in the Wookie homeworld. Another weapon would be comforting.

The Wookiee wondered where the search for this clan's talisman would take him and his partner as they travelled.

The Wookiee noticed an animal nearby. Must be an per the Wookiee guessed.

Xakoxa had to do a double take as the hulking creature approached the docking bay where the transport craft had been primed and ready to launch. The creature was large, hairy, and...massive. The beast that stood before him looked like something he had never seen before, and was surely to be etched into his mind for a very long time. He was glorious. This monster was Larfull, the Wookiee who would accompany the Nightfather on this mission to Endor. The creature raised his hulking hand in acknowledgement to Xakoxa and with that Xak nodded and began to speak.

"Ahh yes i take it you are Larfull the Wookiee? Hard to be mistaken with that behemoth stature of yours. Well then now that you're here i shall introduce myself and my companion. My name is Xakoxa, i am the Nightfather of our clan, and aside from Mother Vyrzhal herself- the most important figure you will see on this planet. I understand you have taken a kinship to beast-taming as i have, well this is a good time to introduce my partner Legs. If you're not familiar he is an Acklay, an amphibious creature native to my home world of Felucia. Now let's brief ourselves on the mission afoot- Are... Are you able to understand what i'm saying to you?"

With that Xakoxa suddenly grew annoyed with himself. He just divulged this whole briefing with no knowledge of whether or not this creature could even comprehend what he was saying. He waited patiently for Larfull to give any inclination that he could understand him, and gathered his thoughts on the objective ahead.

Larfull nodded his head throughout the briefing. The Wookiee had never seen an Acklay before so it was nice that the human explained it to him.

However the Wookiee grew a little annoyed when the man asked if he could understand him. Not a simpleton the Wookiee thought to himself.

The wookiee wondered if the man's claim.to importance was as valid as he claimed to be. Larfull barked and woofed several times while nodding his head asking in Wookiee if the human understood him.

Pointing at Legs. and the Nightfather, and himself and then pointed at the ship, Larfull held up three fingers on his left hand and then raised a fourth finger trying to see if the small group was waiting on someone else.

Xakoxa took the hint. Wookiees could indeed understand basic- but given the gargled howls that left his mouth, clearly he was incapable of speaking it. No matter, Larfull was clearly making an effort to communicate in whatever ways he could, and that was much appreciated. He motioned to Legs, then Xakoxa, then himself, and finally the ship raising fingers accordingly. He took it to mean a question of who and how many were coming along on the journey, to which he replied:

"With the exception of the pilot, it will just be the three of us. We are the only ones who this mission concerns and lets just say; i'm not one for babysitting."

A stern look fell across Xakoxa's face as he said this, giving the clear implication that Larfull's fate was his own, and Xakoxa would make sure he was up to par.

"Now shall we board? there's a few details i would like to go over with you. Endor has been ravaged since the Galactic Civil War, however there are still very prominent, very dangerous threats present on that planet. First is the mighty Gorax. The Gorax is a giant, bipedal savage that if encountered, will be a hell of an adversary to handle. It will take a lot of patience as well as skill should one of us attempt to tame it- otherwise killing it would be a dangerous task in itself. Secondly...

A pause filled the air. He really hoped it wouldn't come to this, but preparation was the only way to ensure they'd make it out alive. He continued:

The Death Watch are still present on Endor. I read the Wookiee are a wise race, but if you're not already familiar, the death Watch are a militant, radical Mandalorian syndicate. They're often called 'terrorists' for their actions and their ideas... I'm afraid that we may end up walking straight into their lair to retrieve our talisman. But if you weren't already aware rest assure- This talisman will grant me unparalleled kinship with creatures all over the galaxy.. and being the one who accompanied me on this dangerous journey: you'll be first in line to for seconds."

Xakoxa racked the slide on his blaster and reholstered it, and with that Legs stood from his resting position, let out a sonic shriek and walked over to Xakoxa's side.

Larfull wondered why bring an extra pilot. The Wookuee was quite capable at piloting. The freighter may be unfsmiksr at first but it wouldn't take the Wookiee long to figure it out.

Upon the man stating he didn't babysit Larfull bared Hus teeth at the underlaying threat if the Wookiee needed babysitting.

The Wookiee inwardly shrugged. If it was decided they needed another pilot who was he to argue.

Xak mentioned the Gorax. The wookiee assumed the creature would be hard to overcome but the human had never dealt with the predators on the Wookuee home world.

The Wookiee had heard of the Black Watch. The label of terrorist didn't bother Larfull. It was a title nothing more and when the Wookiee ran guns the yutlr if terrorist could have applied to himself.

Larfull wondered who the quest was supposed to benefit . The clan or Xak himself. The human services embed to mention the benefits to him personally.

Larfull determined to keep an eye on his compatriot. Someone so self interested may do unseemly things to ensure getting his desires.

Larfull featured with hid left hand for him to precede the Wpokiee onto the ship.

Xakoxa could see the wookiee was growing untrusting of the Nightfather with every passing word. Good. Let the beast test his faith, for it will all make sense on the forest world of Endor. Xakoxa followed Larfull up into the cabin of the ship, with Legs closely in toe, and once aboard Xakoxa began to speak:

"This is a sacred journey we will embark on my friend Larfull. We know not where the Talisman is located, who has it... or frankly if it even exists. It has been lost to our clan for generations and it is now that we must retrieve it, for if we wish to rid the tyrannical Sith from our homeworld, such an artifact would be an immeasurable advantage. From here on, we are brothers, and with this journey you will see just how."

Xakoxa was genuine in his words. A small smile crossed his lips as he spoke the word 'brothers' and looked down to Legs, his Acklay companion. He never looked at Larfull while he was speaking, but his words rung true none the less. His unity with Legs was inseparable, and in not trusting him, Xakoxa hoped to begin to plant the seeds of kinship in Larfull, just as he had himself all those years ago.

The small group boarded the ship. xak spoke that they didn't even know if the talisman existed. Larfull wondered in his mind if this would turn into a red herring trip across the stars.

Larfull looked for a seat to sit down at as the ship would prepare leave Dathomir. Larfull wondered if other parties were looking for this ring artifact.

Larfull wondered what the meant by stating they would be brothers. Brothers typically trusted each other unless criminal and then they just watched for a chance to place a dagger.

The carrier lifted off moments after the members boarded the carriage of the craft. Endor was not near to Dathomir, so hyperspace travel was necessary to cross the vastness of space in a timely fashion. The pair was encouraged to rest or meditate for the journey, which although the majority of which would be conducted in hyper space- was still several hours of transit. What little reserve gear that was taken was stored away, and Xakoxa nodded solemnly to Larfull, and departed to a quiet space on the ship to meditate in silence. Before adjourning, Xakoxa stopped and vocalized to Larfull:

"I shall spend the duration of our journey in meditation in the auxiliary cargo hold. I welcome you to join me, but i ask you respect our meditation be in silence. I look forward to what is ahead."

With that, Xakoxa retired himself and after a short walk found himself in vast emptiness of the cargo hold. The space was large indeed, having space ample enough for several cargo size containers to transport goods to a small cities worth of citizens, however seeing as this ship was being used as an impromptu passenger ship- the hold was empty. The space was perfect for meditation as the hold was close to the power train of the aircraft, making the humming of the engine a nice dull white noise for silent reflection. From there Xakoxa laid his overcoat and cape down to the ground to soften his seat, and knelt down in a praying position with his knees to the ground, touching, and shoulders slumped forward with his head bowed in silence. It was not long now that Xakoxa slipped into a deep self-induced trance and began his auto-reflection.

"What is to come of my time here on Endor? What of my time on Dathomir? I will succeed at all costs and help return The Nightsister's to their glory as the Empire of Dathomir. Upon my return, the Sith will tremble at the mention of The Fanged God, and with my hand a wave will be cast. Whether that wave be of energy, strength, or man-power it matters not, for in the end- all will be equally devastating. I shall feat no creature, i shall bow to no creature. I serve alongside the Mother, and in toe with the Children. We are a unit. We are a combine. Individually we are Strength. En masse we are empowered. United, we are omnipotent. Numbers mean naught, for it is the bond of the Twin Gods that express our righteousness. By the fury of the Fanged God... By the Wisdom of the Winged Godess. We will persevere..."
