Says you. It outsold it because a) alot cheaper, and b) it's something kids love, and are a very large demographic.

That's easy to explain. Look at the generation of gamers. Most younger kids are gonna get cheaper devices and games such as Nintendo dogs than purchase an Xbox or Xbox360 for Halo or some of the more teen oriented games. Plus, parents are more likely to buy an innocent game for their kids where they can be assured of the content over some of the other games. Parents are very protective of their kids nowadays. :p

Or not. If it sucks, then why is Halo the most anticipated franchise to grace gaming in like, forever?

Nintendogs sold more, so what? That's basically because of Japan, and the amount of young kids under 12 in the world. To be honest, you can't even compare the sales of these two, as Nintendogs isn't exactly a "video game" in the sense most people use the term.

I agree with Watchman. Halo is like nothing else that I know of, in terms of anticipation and more.

Graphically, I am amazed by Halo 3.

I have no memory of any video game so widely advertised (I see Halo 3 on Mountain Dew cans for goodness sake!)

And then Nintendogs... A cutty sort of game for the youth. How likely is a young person to get something rated M? (ie. Halo)

Ask the same thing with Nintendogs (rated E).

It's a lot easier to get the rated Es than rated Ms.

Yeah, I just checked different sites, and the wiki link from the G4 article. The wiki is SO outdated and inaccurate, it's not even funny.

Halo 3 sold almost 4 MILLION copies in it's first week. The site shows the "long standing" amounts, correct? But it only shows Halo 2 selling 8 million total...

You guys ever played Nintendogs? I was fair blown away by the immensity and quality of that thing, for a handheld game.

But then, i'm an original GameBoy owner who never upgraded to colour or advance, let aloen fancy schmancy touch screen DS.

B'sides, Halo 3 got way overhyped, imo. It's not like it can be hugely better than other 360 games - they do have to use the same system.

And anyway, guys, the article is referring to Nintendogs outselling Halo 1 & 2, it does not mention Halo 3.
