Though the look of concern was clear across Luci's face, she couldn't help but to perk up a little corner of her lips when Adan took control of the situation. She gave him a reassuring nod and an affirmative "Nn!" to let him know she understood what they were going to do. She did still feel a bit of worry for the situation with the man. She also felt a hint of empathy for the frustration the Annfyn seemed to be feeling, giving him a side glance that showed she cared he was alright.

"It's a little odd though." Luci kept her voice down as she stepped closer to the Knight, being careful not to poke him with her big horns. "Wouldn't the hive want to keep their Joined a secret if they had any here? They could've done more damage to this place by keeping them hidden until night, right?" Her shiny blue gaze swept across the tent, taking everything into her memory as best she could before the two of them left.

"I mean, they were able to fool that whole council of senators and even the Grandmaster back when they first appeared on Ruusan, so what if it's a ploy to hide another Joined in the camp..." The Padawan's thin blue tail flicked to the side and curled as she took one look back, then began to head for the speeders. She didn't even really know whether or not Adan was Joined. She felt she could trust him for now, but the others in the tent left her uncertain.

"Something doesn't feel right here..." Her lips pursed to the side. She figured Adan was probably thinking what she was as she got ready to quickly make their way towards a collection of speeders that some of the Resistance troops were using for the relief effort. "Hopefully the people still trapped out there aren't Joined yet either, but we can't just leave them..."

”Yes, this is true.” while the Annfyn didn’t fought against the Killiks, he had heard from other Jedi that these creatures were cunning and used their Joiners for infiltrations, only making them reveal themselves at the last moment. This man that they captured seemed to have acted too early.

“Perhaps they are becoming desperate. The Killiks are close to being defeated, they could be trying to do anything to salvage their situation.” after what happened in Ruusan, all the confrontations against these creatures ended in costly victories. Adanell believed that it was only a matter of time until the problem of the insectoids was solved.

“Besides, I left orders to the Resistance agents to pay attention to anyone that acted strange. They will also protect the food, water and medicine. This way there’ll be no contamination.” he explained to Luci, a smile appearing on his lips. The Knight wasn’t a fool, even if the Killik could be becoming sloppy because of their desperation, he wasn’t going to maintain the guard down.

He guided Luci toward one of the Resistance speeders. It was adapted to carry wounded people, with an appearance similar to that of an ambulance. Adanell would pilot the vehicle, driving it out of the refugee camp and toward the coordinates that he had received. Like the Padawan, he also hoped that the children weren’t Joiners.

While he drove, the speeder would move through what remained of the city. The destruction had been extensive, with several buildings having been destroyed. The Resistance had put down several fires, but the two Jedi could still see that there was smoke rising in the sky.

“Bring all that down is easy, now comes the most difficult. Rebuilt.” Adanell said when they passed in front of what remained from a school. “But we are going to help them with it, even if it takes so many years. The Jedi are going to help.”

"That sounds good. I'm sure our Resistance members should be able to handle that." Luci gave a firm nod in response to Adan, confident the people were in good hands. Though she still felt a bit of reluctance to leave them. Nonetheless she followed alongside the Knight, eager to help the others who were still trapped. Once in the speeder she'd buckle in and sit patiently in the front passenger seat.

"Nn." She gave another nod to Adan, agreeing that the Jedi would help rebuild the city. "We might have to resettle most of the people in the meantime. Wonder if we'll find any new Force sensitives to join our little family." Luci smiled brightly, arching her eyes up as she imagined taking some of the survivors back to the Order and training them to become Jedi.

Then again, she had to wonder if they'd be better off without the Order. Luci's expression dimmed. Her eyes opened and shifted to watch out through the passenger window. Her right elbow leaned into the door so she could rest her chin on her palm. The end of her tail rested in her lap, held softly by her left hand so it didn't involuntarily slap out at the Knight due to any sudden impulsive emotional reactions, which happened more often than she'd like to admit.

"Adan...?" Her gaze remained on the distant towers of smoke that still rose from the buildings remaining ablaze. "How long you think before we'll be back at war with the Sith?" Luci's big eyes turned over to Adan's once again, the concern she felt clear across her features. "Do you think there's a chance everyone could still be peaceful once the Kiliks are gone?"

”This would be good. Our family can always grow some more.” Adanell smiled at Luci. It was possible for them to find new Force users, but it would only depend on these individuals if they wanted to join the Jedi. However, they could really use new members. The Order already lost so many members.

Soon, silence once again fell between them. The landscape continued the same, buildings ruined by the attack of the Killiks. The attack of the insectoids hit with more st. Adanell wondered if all the people that lived here survived. The refugee camp where they were working wasn’t the only one on the planet, but the Annfyn wasn’t sure if all the population of this world was saved.

When he heard Luci’s question, Adanell immediately turned to look at her. He appreciated how the Padawan had a curious mind, always making questions. He liked helping her find answers for her doubts. However, the Annfyn only wanted that they weren’t so difficult for him to answer.

After some time thinking, Adanell finally decided to tell her his opinion. “I would love it if this truce became a total peace and the war against the Sith would end. However, I don’t think that it’ll happen. The Jedi will never accept the existence of the Sith and the Dark Siders will always want to continue expanding their power over the freedom of the people.” he said, his eyes not leaving the road. “It’ll be a matter of time until the conflicts resume.”

He would continue driving the speeder some more until they reached the place where the building had collapsed and trapped the children. Now the two Jedi would need to discover if they were still alive and find a way to save them.

"Yeah..." Luci pushed her lips to the side. "From what I've seen, especially now that we've all been fighting on the same side for awhile now, not all Sith are really that evil. Some of them actually do want what's best for this galaxy it seems like..." She shook her ahead, a hint of confusion on her expression as she continued, "...but the way they tend to go about it... Some of the things they say and do, the way they cling to the Dark Side and commit blatantly evil acts of cruelty for their twisted sense of power and order, I just don't know. Unfortunately I'm not sure I can see them honoring a ceasefire or any peace for very long... Especially once the Kilik threat is over."

A long sigh came from the Padawan, her gaze fixated on the ruined building. Part of her wanted the Kilik war to go on for forever, so that the Sith war would never resume. Maybe one day they'd learn to settle their grudges and maintain a peace, but the destruction that she saw before her made her heart ache.

"Nn." She gave a soft nod to Adan, then began to step out of the speeder once they were parked. "Alright. Let's find these kids." The gravity of the situation suddenly sank in once Luci stepped onto the ground and swept her gaze across the building. Purpose swelled inside the young Tiefling-Annfyn. A pair of her fingers shot up to her goggles, pulled them down over her eyes, and then pushed her mask up into place over her nose, blocking them off from any potential Kilik ooze.

She then hastily made her way to the front of the building, where a massive chunk of the upper levels had collapsed in front of the lobby. Many more large piles of rubble and debris were also scattered around the inside of the building, creating a maze for any would-be rescuers. Luci gathered as much as she could from an outward glance into the ruinous building, then finally turned her head toward Adan.

"The structure looks like it's in pretty bad condition." She assumed based on her quick analysis of the building. "After we move this -" Luci extended her reach to the massive slab covering the entrance, ready and hoping Adan would realize she needed help moving so much mass with the Force. "-maybe we should split up and cover as much of building as possible before it all comes down?"

”The Dark Side corrupts the beings. Even if the Sith want to make good things, the Darkness will soon or later turn their actions into evil.” Adanell said, while he tried to find a place to stop the speeder. The great number of debris spread around the place made it difficult. “They try to bring order to the Galaxy with their totalitarian Empire, but it only makes people rise against them. Then we have more wars.”

After he stopped the speeder, the two jedi left it. In front of them was a very damaged building, with part of it having already collapsed. They needed to be fast and careful or everything was going to fall and crush the children inside. There was the question if they were still alive inside it.

Like the Padawan, Adanell had also put on a mask. As far as they knew, it could be a trap from the Killiks and they were using these children as bait to catch people and turn them into Joiners. When they approached it, the two Jedi saw that the lobby was blocked by part of the upper levels.

“We’ll need to be careful while trying to move it. I think that even the slightest movement can make this entire thing collapse.” he said, while giving the building a better look . There were several cracks in the walls. “While we would cover more ground if we split, I think that we should remain together. All that can be a trap.”

When he finished talking, the Knight turned back to the blocked path. “We need to use the Force at the same time to move it together.” he said, before stretching his hands toward it. Adanell would wait for Luci to get ready before starting to count. Synchrony would be essential for it to work.

"Nn." Luci gave an assured nod to Adan, kept her hands steady towards the large debris, and concentrated on moving the collapsed chunk of the upper level away from the entrance. She made sure to be careful, and waited until she felt Adan's lead on their synchronized Telekinesis as she readied herself to move it in sync with him.

"Ready when you are, Adan." The blue-horned Padawan chimed in while keeping her focus on the massive chunk of debris they were about to lift and move together.

With Luci’s agreement, Adanell counted until three and the two Jedi used the Force together. Their synchronization would be perfect, with the debris slowly starting to move thanks to their use of Telekinesis. Then, they would carefully take it out of their path, placing it outside of the building.

It would take some time until they were able to remove all the debris, but being careful and slow was necessary to not make everything collapse. Besides that, the two Jedi also needed to maintain the focus to allow that the synchronization of their efforts would continue until the last debri was removed.

When the last piece was removed, Adanell was able to relax. The entrance was clean and they would finally be able to save the children. While their careful effort was able to avoid the collapse of the building, it took up so much of their time. During a rescue mission, it was essencial. He could only hope that the kids would still be alive.

“Come, we can enter now.” he said to Luci, after giving a look at the entrance. It seemed to be safe enough for them to enter. “To locate the children faster, we need to use the Force. We are only going to split if it’s really necessary.” it would be terrible if one of them was captured by a Killik and became a Joiner.

Adanell would wait for a positive answer from the Padawan before moving inside the building. While he crossed the entrance, the Annfyn could only pray to the Force that the children would be alive and no Killik was going to attack them.
