Kai stood there in silence as she rattled off about 15,000 questions and then had a panic attack and then casually started to ask him about the jewel incident. Either she was having a stroke or she was completely tweaking from a drug withdrawal. In any case, Kai was half entertained and half concerned. What if she became rabid and tried to bite him or something?

“The crimelord’s stash is a fucking fortress,” Kai growled, “I tried many times, but it just won’t work. The slimy husband is the best angle. I just didn’t have a way to threaten or intimidate him, but I found out that women and booze are his vice…like the vice of most,” He shrugged. He scowled, “I don’t care who takes the photos, I just need the evidence so I can extort him.”

Truth be told, Kai wasn’t sure why the artifact was so special to begin with. It wasn't anything useful like a holocron, “It’s a quill,” He said, “Apparently it was the one Empress Andraste had used to write the Sith Code,” He explained. He didn’t have an issue divulging details about the artifact with her - she knew it would be worth a lot and Kai was the person who could get the highest price thanks to his network with Crimson Dawn.

He watched her walk over to sit down, eyeing her skeptically, “Stop changing the subject,” Kai said flatly, “Are you tweaking or something?” His expressed turned to a scowl when he caught her looking at his necklace, and he promptly stuffed it behind his shirt.

"Ughhh slimey even", she let out a sigh, her mind at least focused on the new job as a smirk crossed her lips. "Have you tried your luck with the dude? Bet your fluffy ass could be the deciding factor", of course she was mocking him with his tail that by the way wasn't fluffy that moment at all. It was drippingly wet and much darker, reeking like a wet dog but the whole view was at least somewhat comical.

"Okay okay. You've done your research. I'll do it", she did finally concede though, not any less amused yet, but her expressions changed into somewhat more serious as he explained the object he was after. She let out a little whistle before she continued pacing, adding, "not bad. Sounds like good stuff". It was absolutely worth a lot if sold to the right person, she the job sounded promising enough.

With her thoughts caught in another downward spiral, she only stopped as he voiced his concerns again, his gaze not just skeptical but perhaps even a little accusing after she was baxk on the ground again. "I laid in the sun all day, I've got too much energy saved up", she lied with a perfectly straight face as if that was a fitness quirk of hers, seriously meeting his gaze.

"I'm not changing the subject, I'm making conversation", she defended her point, wondering why he didn't want to answer her question. She instinctively chewed on the inside of her cheek, her gaze drifting towards the window and quickly back to him. "How comes I keep infuriating you without even doing anything? Is that a fox boy thing? Do you need to be walked regularly or what?".

Kai knew she was bullshitting through her teeth, but he didn’t care enough to keep pressing. He decided she was just on withdrawal from spice and didn’t have a sugar daddy to hook her up with more. The Fiani quirked a brow when she deflected, accusing him of always being irritated.

“What, do you want us to be friends?” He asked with a scoff. What else did she expect when she had drugged him and stuck his most prized possession up her diseased prison pocket? Nevertheless, the Fiani wasn’t the type to waste time stewing. He had his necklace back at the end of the day, so he wouldn’t continue their little feud unless she started it first.

Kai walked over and saw that the rain began to ease off. Every inch of land below was completely flooded and there were tons of buildings and structures toppled over. He knew they would be able to get out soon, though the thought made him uneasy. He despised getting wet, and it looked like an ocean outside.

“Do you want a smoke?” He asked, his tone much calmer than earlier. Smoking often mellowed him out, and he wondered if it would kill whatever anxiety she was suffering.

His sudden conclusion surprised her and the raised brow clearly indicated that she was somewhat startled. Friends? Maeve had no friends. People were bad, regardless of the species, the nature of life was cunning and evil, so she didn't place her trust in anybody.

She had friends, but the closest it actually came to friendships was that they were either suppliers, fence members, accomplices or fuck buddies. He ticked box three, potentially, but she wasn't fully sure about that yet either. "I'd call for a truce. We do the job, focus on the task and not on how to screw the other harder". She gave him a smirk while her fingers nervously twirled strands of loose hair before she was on the run again.

"Huh?", as he suddenly asked for a smoke, her current state of paranoia was once again broken, but his question left her perplex for a moment. Was he offering a cig to call her nerves? If so, it was probably because he wanted her still and not because he actually gave a fuck. "I- yeah...sure". She noticed the change in this tone as for once, it didn't literally spell out 'I hate you'.

She shuffled over and randomly drew one from his box, quickly waiting on the lighter before she said, "thanks". Yeah, a smoke was somewhat calming, but she still shivered as she gazed outside the window and it wasn't the cold. "If the resort still stands, I know a few rooms we could pay a visit" - given the wave hadn't flushed it.

Plenty of loot carelessly laying around everywhere. The one elderly lady, for example, had a whole collection of jewelry in her room. Maeve had seen it after they had walked her home last night. "But I'll leave this post-apocalyptic paradise right after", she added with a growl that was for once dedicated to the weather, not him.

“With how much you keep mentioning us screwing, I’m beginning to think you’re dropping hints,” Kai scoffed as he lit the cigarra for her. After she took her first drag, he extended a hand to shake hers, “Truce,” He said with a nod, the sarcasm disappearing. He didn’t trust her, but he also knew it was unproductive to keep fighting against her during a crisis.

Her suggestion caught him off guard, “You want to go back there?” Kai asked, surprised. He was sure the resort was underwater by now, but for all he knew the water levels could have receded. The Fiani pondered for a moment before checking the balcony again. From what he could tell, the rain had slowed down considerably. While he detested the rain, he knew it would be days before it entirely stopped. This was as good as it was going to get.

“Okay, let’s climb out,” Kai said with a grimace. With that, he grasped a hold of the railing, swinging a leg over. Right away he could feel water droplets on his head and his entire body bristled with rage. Kai gave a low, animalistic growl as he started climbing down the side of the tower. As a Fiani, he was exceptionally nimble, easily springing down to different footholds. His goal was to keep going till he could hop over to the roof of the next building.

Once he arrived, he glanced over to see how Ruby was faring. Her choice of attire for all this, of course, was still entertaining.

She instinctively rolled her eyes as he mentioned the screwing as he was obviously misinterpreting her statements on purpose here. "Oh Sweetie...you wouldn't be able to afford me", she gave him a wink, before she couldn't help but to burst into a chuckle. Their constant teasing...even if they agreed on a truce, this couldn't stop. At least not the verbal teasing.

She did shake his hand, the mischief fading from her features. It would be better for business for the two of them, so she was fine with it. She didn't live by any codex or stuck to any rules, yet if two crooks promised to lay their weapons down for a certain period of time, even she could value the promise.

"What?", a smirk tugged at her lips again as she followed him, her gaze quickly assessing the outside. "Is it possible that you don't like water at all?", she curiously asked, actually voicing her old conclusion. She did nod when he suggested climbing out and she did follow right after, her eyes narrowed to shield them from the rain, yet the weather had at least gotten somewhat better.

It was slippery and cold, so her bikini and the stinking towel didn't really help, but as they finally made it to the other roof, she felt as though her chest was no longer compresed. She breathed much slower, deeply taking in the fresh storm air before she adressed him. "Okay so listen up...there's still a lot of water around. If we fall or have to go through it, feel free to hold onto me. I'm a relatively decent swimmer". And she had a feeling he absolutely wasn't keen on water. She was a rather scrawny fox boy, so towing him wasn't that hard she assumed, as long as he kept his claws to himself.

Kai scowled at her suggestion, “I uh..” Where normally a sharp, witty reply would come out, there was nothing. As he stood on the edge of that low building, it became abundantly clear how much large bodies of water bothered him. His fur was standing on end and his ears were flat, and his fingers curled into fists. Kai said nothing in response, watching speeders and large furniture floating around. It would be the only way to get to the other side.

He exhaled and took a running leap to land on a large dining table that was floating by. Unfortunately, there was a strong current that yanked the table away and he splashed directly into the water. Not only that, but he flailed right before getting pulled underwater. The water was at least ten feet high and the current kept him under.

There was no sign of him when she looked, just water, current and random objects floating around.

For once, Kai shut up. Maeve raised a brow, however already realizing she didn't need an elaboration. He also didn't answer in terms of her offer, neither with a witty, snappy remark nor with a confirmation. He just...went for the water. And he was gone. Just gone.

Maeve squinted, the sky was dark after all, but to her it seemed like he had dropped into the water like a sack of potatoes. Why? Of he wasn't keen on water, what did he try? She shifted her weight from one foot to the other and still there was nothing. "Kodi?!". Fucking hell. It slowly dawned her that the fox was gone and the current made sure he stayed swallowed.

Maeve hectically started glancing around until she spotted a long rope of some sort, probably what remained of a fisher net. It looked solid and it was wrapped around a flooded palm tree, so that the long cord floated atop the surface. Without hesitation, she jumped in and swam for it, wrapping it around her wrist as she reached it.

She then immediately went for a dive, holding her breath for as long as she could while she searched for the drowning Fiani. She had to come back up for a quick gasp for air until she went back down, unfortunately getting into the violent swirl current too, yet that was where her skin grazed the fluff and she immediately grabbed the first thing she could wrap her hands around before paddling back towards the surface.

It costed her immense strength, yet with the help of the rope, she did manage to escape the vortex, Kodi in tow. She swam further, using the cord to get them closer to the palm tree to take an actual breather, but Maeve then noticed that some more wooden furniture had begun to gather at the palm tree line, which would offer them a short rest.

"Can you fucking hear me you mad man?", she asked as she shoved him onto the wooden mass of furniture, before she climbed up as well. He wasn't moving and she let out a deep sigh as she checked his breathing. Nothing. Pulse? Barely there. "You've got to be kidding me". Growling, she began CPR, rhythmically compressing his chest on the wiggly wooden pile they were on, before she applied a freaking rescue breath like a full blown paramedic. She got back to compression, waiting for him to spit out the water, the situation being so incredibly absurd.

Kai was completely out of it, the current having yanked him underwater. He couldn’t claw his way up to the top and his vision began to darken. He didn’t even see anyone jump into the water.

As Maeve worked on bringing him back, it would take a bit of time. She would also notice that in the chaos of almost drowning, his eyepatch had slipped off. If she brushed aside the strands of hair, she would see a gaping hole where the eye had been outright scooped out. If that wasn’t bad enough, she would see what looked like clear saber burns. As if a Sith wanted to torture and make a point.

After a few moments of trying, he abruptly started coughing and spitting out water, landing right on her face if she didn’t move in time. Kai gasped for air, chocking and sputtering for a moment before he finally took normal breaths. He abruptly sat up, his remaining eye wide with shock. His hand instinctively reached out to cover his empty eye socket, quickly brushing his hair over it.

He noticed right away that Ruby was sitting there. Kai was trembling from the water and cold, and he still couldn’t process what just happened.

“Did…you fall in too?” Kai asked with chattering teeth. He couldn’t comprehend the possibility of her willingly jumping in. She would notice he purposely angled his face away so she couldn’t see his other eye. He still hadn't entirely worked out that she saved him from certain death. The galaxy just didn't work like that.

Even if Maeve was thoroughly focused on her life restoring measures, it didn't escape her slightly frantic gaze that his missing eye was fully exposed. There was the empty socket, the burn marks - why she kept trying to undo the water's terrible effects, she was literally staring at it for a moment.

Oh she was convinced there was a story too it. A deep one even. An agonizing memory. Every of her scars had a story too, some more painful than others, some traumatic even, but her main focus stayed on her spontaneous medic duties. Even if it had been a while since she had last needed to give a full blown CPR, as he did finally splutter water and gasp for air, she was incredibly proud.

It was still odd that a wave of relief also washed over her a second later, but Kodi's bewildered gaze indicated that he was just as confused as she was. "It's okay", she said somewhat calmly, gesturing for him to calm down as she climbed off him, plopping back on her ass before she rubbed her temples.

"I haven't...how the hell did you just drop into it like a wet lump?". She returned the question, after having cleared her throat. Okay now he owed her big time..."Had to jump in to save your ass...you promised a job after all", her lips curled into a smirk as she finally caught her own breath, teasingly adding, "you know I can be hired as a swim teacher too". Perhaps he'd now stick to her offer as a human water taxi - she had absolutely no intentions of saving him again.

“I wasn’t planning on being a wet lump!” He snapped back, initially annoyed. However, that turned into a grin, and then a quiet chuckle, “I really do half ass plans, don’t I?” Kai finally admitted, running his hands through his wet hair. His tail was a heavy mess and his ears drooped from the weight of the water. The laughter turned to surprise when Ruby admitted that she jumped in after him. Kai stared at her in confusion mixed with wonder. She looked miserable with goosebumps lining her body and her hair clinging to her face.

“You are…so stupid,” Kai muttered after a pause. He was chuckling to himself again, shaking his head, “You can find a job anywhere, Ruby,” He smirked, “What was it? The ears win you over?” He playfully wiggled his brows, his ears swiveling as well. His personality shifted from the grouchy one she came to know, making it clear he wasn’t a brood all the way through.

Kai paused for a long moment, exhaling, “Thank you,” He said quietly, his tone genuine. She had risked her life to save him, and he wouldn’t forget that anytime soon.

“We can probably use this as a boat,” He said as he laid flat on his stomach. He began to use his arm to paddle. If Maeve started to paddle the other side, maybe they would start moving towards the next piece of debris to climb. As they started moving, he started belting out a nursery song. He was definitely off key - he was no singer - but he was clearly making the best of a shit situation.

His chuckle was infectious, yet she couldn't help but tease back further:"Ah, gotcha. You thought you could de-lump yourself once you've entered the vortex. I see". She was obviously amused, but at least he seemed fine despite the dirt water he had just swallowed.

"Yeah", she basically blurted out, not really controlling her reaction. It was the truth and Maeve had no qualms with being blunt, yet as he had barely recovered from his near-death experience, she at least spared him the 'I told you so' part. He immediately snapped back to insulting her and faking discontent, she replied, "that's one way to thank your Guardian angel" with a bitter scoff.

The smirk immediately reappeared and she mockingly added, "nah, it was that addictingly wonderful odor of yours". The current had freed her of the towel, but the result was that she was now thoroughly shaking, her whole body still drippingly wet.

She didn't verbally reply to his final expression of gratitude, but as she briefly met his gaze again, a genuine smile briefly tugged at her lips. Maybe there was finally an olive branch. He started musing about this boat idea and after a quick assessment, she nodded and laid down as well.

"If you had told me the day would end like that this morning, I would have said you're tripping". It was absurd that the tropical paradise had changed into pure hell and that they were now paddling on furniture, somehow trying to work their way back. The song he began to sang was unfamiliar - Maeve literary didn't know any nursery son- but it was somewhat catchy and really easy, so she joined in after a while.

It was a comical scene, but the two made actual progress. They'd be forced to jump onto a fallen treestump, but from the derooted play tree they'd manage to access and actual paddleboat. It was fairly obvious that whoever had paddled the ocean with it was probably dead, but it was still functional and just a little stuck, but if they'd push themselves off the plam tree, it would become easier to maneuver. "If the hotel still stands, I want to raid the bar first...".

Between Kai’s offkey singing and Ruby joining in with the wrong lyrics, the makeshift door boat trip was actually comically enjoyable. He laughed half the time, mainly at the absurdity of the entire situation. He could sob about it or he could laugh, and he chose to laugh. Before long, they found a paddleboat and he squeezed into it with her. His tail was a big mop that flopped over her legs simply because there was nowhere else to put it, and it soon began to feel like a warm blanket.

“Well I’ll be damned..” He muttered in awe as he spotted that the resort was still standing. The first floor was completely flooded, but the floors above that were fine. He was willing to bet that at least a few of those floors had panicked guests holed up in them, but there were likely to be far more opportunities to loot the place.

Kai found a window and he smashed it open with the leg of a floating table before hopping inside. As much as he detested it, he waded through the water to get to the stairs that led up. The Fiani paused for a moment to shake off the water like a dog before he continued. He was about to go up to the rooms when he paused and glanced to the side.

It was a fully stocked, untouched bar along with an entirely abandoned lounge area. There was even a mic stand for performers. Kai snickered at the sight, “Looks like you’re about to get your wish.”

Maeve was definitely no karaoke professional and with her mind being somewhat distracted by the literal disaster all around, she was always mixing up lines, messing up individual words or fell out of tact. It mattered little though, as it was oddly amusing and she found herself on full laughing sync with her fox boy sidekick the entire time.

However, despite the fun, Maeve's teeth were literally clattering. She was freezingly cold, given the absence of actual clothes and the wet bikini and hairs just adding to the cold she felt. She was still soaked, and as his tail suddenly grazed her, she first flinched a little, before it actually offered a warmth she was desperately yearning for. She wasn't sure whether he offered it on purpose, but it helped a lot as they carried on. She didn't even stop cracking up thanks to their song until the hotel finally came in to sight and an actual wave of relief washed over her.

"Hell yeah". Without knowing what was still inside, just seeing the resort alone raised her spirits. The upper floors would probably offer a fine place to stay until the flooding actually stopped. They approached the foyer area and Kodi soon had a window open, so without hesitation Maeve followed him in.

Once back in the water, it was just continously getting colder again, yet after they made it to the next floor, they literally found exactly what Maeve had been talking about earlier. For a moment she wondered whether she was tripping, but as she quickly hurried inside and grabbed the first bottle she found, she was certain it was real.

"Okay stop right here. We've just been through hell, let's go have some fun before we'll raid this whole place tomorrow", she suggested excitedly, swirling the liquid in her bottle and playfully wriggling her brows. She hadn't been in this particular bar yet, but it looked awesome. "I challenge you to a round of 'never have I ever' - full crook edition".

“How do you not know row your boat?!” Kai asked in exasperation after they were finally inside an actually warm building, “Didn’t your mother ever sing it to you in whatever dump you were born in?” He asked, but the smile was still on his face. It was clear it was not intended as a jab - they both knew they were crooks, and therefore likely came from poverty. No one got into her line of work by choice, and the same held true for him. Kai had grown to enjoy his ‘profession’ over time, and he wondered if the same was true for her. After a while, it was easy to forget it never needed to be permanent.

Kai was surprised she wanted them both to make a pit stop. In truth, he planned on going on a looting spree and leave her to drink herself into a stupor. His klepto urges were almost overwhelming, and his gaze kept flicking down to the pearl necklace around her neck despite him having no use for it now. It was a compulsive behavior he couldn’t help, though he would never admit that.

“Fine, maybe it’ll take off the edge,” Kai said more to himself than anyone else. His fingers were already twitching and flexing with the unbearable desire to swipe or pickpocket something. His hand almost instinctively reached towards Ruby when she turned to walk away before he remembered she was in a stupid bikini. And there were no pockets except for..well, he wasn’t going to pickpocket that.

The Fiani despised being in his wet clothes, and he wondered if there was a gift shop where they could change. For now he stayed in the soaked clothing, letting her pour them drinks. Kai pondered for a moment as he grabbed his cup, eyeing her with curiosity, “Never have I ever actually drugged someone with something that could kill them,” Kai asked. He had no other way to outright ask what the hell was in the serum she injected him with, so it was the moment of truth.

Kai threw out another playful jab, oblivious to the pain that lingered behind the traumatic memories. She chuckled slightly, one of the most perfectly faked laughs she had ever given, but on the inside, for a brief moment, there was nothing but pain.

No, no one had ever sung her songs. No, she had neither ever heard a nursery rhyme in her entire childhood nor had she ever heard a warm word of her mother's mouth. Not that she remembered her anyway. She had drowned whatever had been left with drugs long time ago. But for a brief moment it all came back up and Maeve swallowed hard, forcing down the lump in her throat, her gaze directed to the floor before it swept to the liquor bottles.

There was only one answer. If he was perceptive, he'd notice her hand was shaking as she reached for the first bottle, however perhaps it was hard to tell whether it was the inner turmoil or the cold that still lingered underneath her skin. Yet, her grip around the bottle was tight and she quickly had their glasses readied and eagerly started pouring.

She didn't even bother wait for the question but instead threw back the first shot before she took another big sip from the bottle. Only then did she sit down, facing him with a sly smirk and eagerly awaiting the first question while she refilled. "Guilty", she solely remarked as she took another sip. It hadn't been him, but others. His question was vague enough, so she didn't have to disclose he had only received a Sodiumchloride shot.

He didn't drink and she wasn't surprised, yet she had a whole line up of questions readied. "Never have I ever nearly drowned". The intention was clear. Right now, she wanted him to drink, not an actual spicy detail. She was once again exhilarated by this toxic urge to get intoxicated and forget the question he had posed just a few minutes ago. She wanted a good time, and despite their mood having been relatively good already, she desperately needed it to get even better. Her last completely drunk raid had been ages ago, so she was craving a wild night that would also make her forget about the fucking storm.

Kai didn’t miss her fake laugh or the visible shift in her entire demeanor when he made the quip about nursery rhymes. In truth, it was a reaction he had seen all too often - it came from people that witnessed trauma growing up or never knew their families. For all he knew, she was an orphan or had been sold at some point. It was an all too common story for most he knew growing up on Nar Shaddaa. Though his mother was enslaved now, he had fond memories of growing up and having her around when he was a child, which was a luxury in his circle.

He eyed her suspiciously when she answered. He found the answer unsettling, and it reaffirmed his decision never to trust her. Kai didn’t ask any questions even as he observed her hand trembling before getting the drinks, the simple nursery quip clearly lingering within her. The Fiani smirked at her question, “Oh I see what you’re doing,” He said with a grin as he took a swig.

“Never have I ever risked my life to jump into water to save someone else,” Kai rattled off as he looked at her. Even saying it out loud felt strange and alien. Had she really done that? Her excuse was lame, but so was every other fib she gave him. As a con artist himself, he could see through a lot of bullshit and she was full of it.

“What’s the favorite part of your job?” He asked as he took another sip just to enjoy his drink.

Kai was onto her quickly, but he seemed in no mood to cross her really bad plan. He did immediately fire back, though, and chuckling, she downed another. She didn't want the game to turn to lame and predictable, so despite wanting him drunk, she went for something for risqué:"Never have I ever slept with a Twi'Lek". Perhaps it was just coincidence for her, but she had noticed Kai had seemed rather keen on them, so she threw him a smirk.

"Heeey extra questions cost extra", she wiggled her brows, jutting her chin towards his drink, signaling him to down the next one right away. She absolutely didn't mind answering this one though and while the alcohol had already gotten her somewhat buzzed, she still went for the honest answers, no bs this time.

"The variety. I can't dwell, I can't settle, I enjoy meeting new people, doing a robbery here, killing someone theren- it never gets boring". The smirk on her lips was genuine, the glint in her eyes mischievous. "What's keeping you going?". Obviously, her greatest conviction were credits, but she couldn't deny she had gotten so used to her job that she enjoyed many aspects of it.

"I want music", she suddenly jumped up and approached the sound bar - surprisingly, it was still in tact as no water had touched this floor, and so with a few clicks, the first song she found was a classic party anthem that matched her mood pretty well. She then slid into the seat across from him, excitedly awaiting his answer and next question.

“Really?” Kai asked, surprised. He shrugged as he took a sip, “You are definitely missing out,” Kai said as he stared off for a moment. Likely there were some particular memories flowing through his mind because he looked briefly dazed. He shook himself out of it, scoffing as he took a sip. What was her angle here? Did she intend to try and rob him while he was sloshed? He didn’t have anything valuable on him for once, and she must have known that.

He listened to her answer about her favorite part of her job and he smirked, “So you’re running from something,” He stated flatly. She dressed it up and made it sound fun, but that’s what it was. Only someone like him could see right through that. Kai shrugged vaguely when the question was turned around on him, “I’m trying to become something,” He looked into the distance, flashing a fanged grin, “The galaxy will know me and I’ll be rolling in credits. Just watch.”

Kai didn’t care about her opinion on the matter, most likely a sarcastic quip, he knew he would become somebody. He knew he would climb out of that shithole called Nar Shaddaa. His thoughts were interrupted when she got up to switch on the music, “Oh great, am I going to have to see your generic human dance moves?” Kai asked with a chuckle.

“Never have I ever wanted to sleep with a Fiani man,” He asked, expecting her ego to do the talking for her. He asked anyway because the game was entertaining. There was a nice buzz going and his tail drummed to the rhythm of the music.

She wasn't surprised that he drank, yet the intoxication made her chuckle. Of course Twi'Leks. She had heard many men talk about them and how there was something about their Lekku. She didn't find Twi'Lek man super appealing, but she thought she'd give it a shot some day, perhaps rather with a Twi'Lek lady then. Was she missing out? Maybe she'd know some day.

"Running from myself, yeah", she blurted out, without even thinking. That was basically what it was. Every new job was a distraction from a new trauma, every person she screwed a revenge act, sometimes even on herself. She wasn't after the big money, she wanted to live a good life, a life were she made the decisions herself, but even if she could see herself running some large, crooked business, she knew she'd prefer staying in the shadows of it all.

"Oh I'll see the great Kodi rise", she chuckled, desperately trying to keep her focus on the next topic, but too many things seemed to surface at once until the music and her spinning head provided enough distraction. "Generic?". Undoubtedly a challenge, at least that was how she took it, him basically challenging her to prove him wrong and so she was up on her feet already again.

As he posed his question, she filled their glasses yet again, her hips already swaying to the music and the alcohol thus spilling quite a bit. "Baby, you could just bluntly ask", she broke into a chuckle as she threw the next shot down, slammed her glas back onto the counter as another classic banger came on.

The intro music she could perfectly use for what she had in mind, and thus she was suddenly right at him, her right hand grasping the hem of his shirt as she deeply looked him in the eyes. "You're looking for a girl that'll treat you right", she began, matching the female parts of the music (this song she did at least know), "You're looking for her in the daytime with a light".

She let go and suddenly threw it back, most certainly catching him off guard with the full blown (and unmistakably skillful) lap dance she just began to give him, a mischievous smirk on her lips. Her hair was still damp, but it was dry enough to swing it back too.

Her hips swayed to the song, hovering over his lap before she turned around to face him again. "Never have I ever-", as she leaned forwards, one hand sliding across the side of his neck which she seductively moved her lips, "-banged someone on the table in an empty hotel bar". The times of mental clarity had long departed and Maeve was all in for the bad decisions.
