When you stop and think about it, it's actually a legitimate question. Internet costs quite a bit when you accumulate the bills each month, and computers themselves cost over a thousand dollars, sometimes over two thousand dollars. Both computers and the internet are luxuries, not necessities.

Either way, I support changing the original idea. While Vanii's brother may have not been covered, a lot of people weren't covered by the original plan, specifically thinking of children with life changing conditions, but not necessarily life threatening... Epilepsy and autism coming to mind. Changes aren't bad.

The point isn't that internet fees could cover insurance fees. The point is that the total monetary accumulation of a number of luxuries, internet access included, could go a long way to alleviating the stress of insurance if it was compiled to help pay for that.

I graduated high school a little more than two months ago. But even if I were in high school or even middle school, I'd be capable of looking up insurance rates per month. Hundreds of dollars per month seems to be the price range. With a decently paying job, it shouldn't be too difficult to pay.

Internet for us costs about $50 a month. My computer's a little old to, my mom bought it for me when I was 16.

The older it is, the more expensive it was, and if that 50 dollars was put towards health insurance for an entire year then that would be 600 dollars that could help your brother and your family out.
