Old Competitors Meet OOC

I am setting up this discussion OOC thingy in order for us to have a more effective way of communicating.

I've already reported the post in question, but for the sake of this I'll share the message I sent you and Dmitri regarding my issues with the post:

God Moding:

“When he telekinetically chocked her, he also used force speed at the exact same time to enhance the speed of the technique in order to make sure that they had no time to react. Samar had mastered telekinesis. He also had an advanced grasp of force speed. There was no way that Narasha and Jonathan could counter on this, at least from Samar’s extensive experience. He was prepared for any response from the two people.”


He is capable of forcing the air out of their lungs, and causing them to die of asphyxiation instantly? Because he doesn’t mention that they have their necks snapped or anything, just that they are choked to death.



Metagaming:



“When Miaa had extended her reach in the force, the Bogan official had sensed it. This had happened before the negotiations had even begun, and he had taken. Firstly, he got his communicator that was on his wrist and he typed it to Sluis Van officials in order to notify them that something was wrong. The code would also go to the Bogan temple in Sluis Van HQ. It would also go to the Bogan fleet in Sluis Van. While he was doing this, he made sure that it did not seem that he was doing anything hostile. Mia seemed focused on what was going on in the meeting so she might have not noticed this. Within seconds, Bogan officials and Sluis Van troops would be arriving, and the hangar troops would be alerted and going to where Mia was in order to arrest her. One also had to not forget that the meeting room was close to the hangar, and since a hangar of a facility was always patrolled due to its significance, the troops would arrive extremely quickly.”



But no mention of this is made in ANY of his posts earlier, these are his only posts before I arrive in the room, while part of one of them occurs while I’m in the room.

As they continued to walk, they were stopped by a Bogan official. "I'm sorry mum but you will have to stay here." he stated, pointing at Mia. Mia had not concealed her force sensitivity. While Jonathan was a force senstiive, he was not trained, and that did not worry the Bogan official.


When the issue was dealt with, the protocol droid led Narasha and Jonathan to the meeting room. "It is an honor to meet you." he stated, bowing at Narasha and Jonathan in order to show respect."Shall we begin?" he stated, looking forward to her response.”


“"I am sure they had a good reason. You must understand that Sluis Van is a busy place." he stated, smiling at Narasha. He reached out his hand to shake Narasha, smiling at her. He then smiled at Jonathan.


"Yes, let us begin. I am sure you know we are a small arms manufacture. We wish to cooperate with Keywork Engineering Systems. Strati Defense Systems would like to ask what KES can offer our company." he stated, smiling at Lady Zyra as he awaited his response.”



Other issue:


He uses the name: Samar Zinthoni for his character, which is fine if he wants to have an alias. EXCEPT there is no mention of that alias on his CP at all. Which means should I do a search for said alias, I would not be returned a CP, and unless I studied his RPs (though a search for the name only returns 3 hits) I would not know the powers and abilities of this CP. I believe if he is to go by an alias, it has to be listed on the CP?

Hello Dmitri. I apologize for disturbing you. I am well aware of the fact that Prudii sent you his issues and reported this to the admins. I am here to show you that there is nothing wrong with what I am doing.

This is the discussion I had with Prudii after he talked to me about my character’s alias. My character has used the alias, Samar Zinthoni in various threads and that is an established alias for him while he is under the Bogan. I stopped talking about it with Prudii because I believed that it was a waste of time, and it would be better for me to send this to you, and for me to refute what he is stating. I am going to post what he sent you in quotes and I am going to refute it. 
Prudii’s Statement #1: “He is capable of forcing the air out of their lungs, and causing them to die of asphyxiation instantly? Because he doesn’t mention that they have their necks snapped or anything, just that they are choked to death.”

Never did I state that they were going to die instantly. Honestly, I don’t even know why he is causing a ruckus when they are NPCS but I would like to state that when someone uses force choke, they affect their windpipe. That is what I did. In addition to that, Prudii stated that one of his NPCS’, Jonathan had his arms on the rifle. That doesn’t matter. My character, while not a Jedi Master level NPC has mastered telekinesis and he used force speed to enhance his attacks. That combination is more than enough to stop Prudii’s NPCS who aren’t even trained by ways of the force(despite one of them being force sensitive)

His character has a lightsaber, and he even stated that she extended her reach via usage of the force(I believe it happened in post 4). The Bogan NPC could have sensed it. Considering the fact that the Bogan have a temple in Sluis Van HQ, and I believe that I even mentioned in the thread that the meeting room was close to the hangar, the troops would have responded immediately. In addition to that, the Bogan have a fleet in Sluis Van. After all, it is their most critical world, and this is coming from someone who has been a Bogan member for some time. It would not take long for the Bogan and Sluis Van troops to arrive to arrest Mia. If you want, I can edit that he took action during the negotiations but it wouldn’t really make a difference imho.

I will admit that it is not mentioned in his PC but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t used it. Just because I haven’t updated and mentioned it in his profile does not mean that I don’t have it. This logic has flaws. For example, I could create a Padawan character, and after having him approved for promotion after various threads, he would be promoted to a knight but I haven’t mentioned that in his profile. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t get the promotion right? That is one of many flaws in Prudii’s statement.

Also, just an FYI, I have stated in Vaxvesh's rp list that he used that alias.

In this post, not only do I completely refute all of your statements, I also expose the flaws in your arguement. My character has mastered telekinesis and while he is no Jedi Master, that combined with his usage of force speed( a power in which he holds an advanced grasp) should be more than enough for him to beat a bunch of NPCS. I also wanted to state that in one of the screenshots I took, you stated that my character wouldn't have time to react. Fact of the matter is, he would. Firstly, there is no indication whatsover that Vaxvesh, aka Samar, was showing any hostility toward your PR Officer and Jonathan. If your character attacked out of the blue, it wouldn't be justified in IC terms since he was being friendly. In addition to that, my character has the force. There is no way that a bunch of NPCS are going to kick my character's ass when he has the force, and has mastered telekinesis. Additionally, it is my understanding that we take PCs to be higher than NPCS so my character would have finished your NPCS off if he wants to. Now, I am going to post all the problems you had with me about my post on Skype, and me refuting all the problems he has with my post.

Now I will not deny that I did not commit mistakes. For instance, when Prudii stated "Oh there is plenty wrong. I've already reported it. I'll detail it out for you though, as I'll detail it our for Dmitri who is handling our case.", I wrongly interpreted this as him stating that he was going to tell me himself what Dmitri's ruling was and that made me respond by stating, "That is fine. If you don't mind though, I will have Dmitri tell me what his ruling will be, not you." Nevertheless, Prudii has stated points in which I refuted. He stated that no one would know that the Cartel and the Mandos were attacking Kes' shipyards when people would considering the fact that the Cartel publicly stated that they hated KES and were going to give a huge reward for it. In addition to that, Frank stated that people would know, and considering the fact that the Cartel stated that they were going to give a huge reward for KES, people would know where KES' shipyards and where its assets were, considering the fact that bounty hunters would be looking for KES employees since the Cartel gave a huge reward for it.

I also want to state that I have rped the Bogan being put in a state of alert after they lost in Fondor. Also Prudii, in terms of the Bogan NPC getting Mia, I am certain that I stated in the beginning post in the thread that the meeting room was close to the hangar so that in itself should allow the Bogan and Sluis Van troops to go arrive in Mia's position within seconds, at least, imho although that is up to Weiss and the admins.

Alrighty, I'll say it again:

Your saying that my characters wouldn't have time to react is incredibly God Moding. That is saying that you are going to kill him so fast that a man that is already holding a weapon infront of him and is a trained soldier wouldn't have time to raise it and shoot.

You are saying your Bogan official tapped at a wrist datapad and warned everyone of Mia's presence and called for reinforcements "first thing" but you RP that no where until after the fact.

You use this PC with an Alias that is no where on ANY CS so that if I were to search for it, I wouldn't be able to find a CS. Instead I would have to dig through every RP you've ever done with him to try to figure out who it is.

Just because Mia has a lightsaber doesn't equal that guards are gonna be on standby to kill her, unless you say that they knew this was a setup (because that's sure as hell what it looks like this was). If everyone was under the impression that I, and my characters, were that this was a peaceful meeting, then why would your guards be ready to kill the woman with a lightsaber from a known force using faction.

I now understand what your comment about Dmitri telling you, not me was. I thought you were saying that you would ask of Dmitri to not share his ruling with me.

Firstly, they aren’t characters. Your only character there was Mia. The PR Officer and Jonathan are NPCS, not characters. Considering that you quoted this from my post, I would think that you of all people would know that I am in no way stating that your NPCS won’t have time to react. I am just stating that from my character’s experience, they weren’t going to react in any way, and I honestly don’t think they would since they are NPCS and they are not force users. They also don’t have any way to defend from what I have done, as they don’t have any force defenses as shown here. I also want to state that I thought that Jonathan was a force sensitive but now that I see that he isn’t after looking that the KES NPC Roster, that in fact helps justify my statements and my points.

PFC Jonathan Stewart is kind of shy, and nervous. He isn't combat inclined, not by nature anyways. High stress situations scare and worry him, but he does it anyways for his family. He comes from a lower class family in the Outer Rim. Falling in love with his teenage sweetheart they accidentally got pregnant before they were married. Abandoning his future as a pharmaceuticals scientist Jon joined KES Security to provide for his family. Loyalty is his biggest trait, as he is loyal to his family first, and to his company second. PERSONALITY
Captain Vellin Cox is a hardened war veteran. He served in the battle of Naboo before serving in the battle of Sirius Primaris. He actively rivals Ryan Jacen during his career, and resents the younger man for receiving the constant praise and promotions he feels he deserves. He isn't friendly, and little is known about his life outside of the company to those he works with. He disregards ROA and civilian casualties and even direct orders if they don't suit him. He is good at his job though, and is an expert soldier, which is why he is still employed through his misbehavior.

PERSONALITY
Mitch the Protocol Droid was previously in the service of an unknown Hutt. Upon the Hutt's violent death he was purchased by the KES through a dealer, thus the unknown identity of the Hutt. The Hutt had equipped him with his dual thermal detonators in his chest in case a heinous offense was ever committed against the Hutt. In this case Mitch would be sent to the offender to detonate. However, luckily for the droid, this was never needed. The detonators are still active and can be activated through hyperwave or holonet transmissions via datapad or detonator from any KES field commander or above.Mitch serves as one of Trane's personal protocol droids, as he likes the former gangster nature of the droid. The droid is quite sassy with people he deals with.

Narasha Viel is a people pleaser. She likes people to like her, and she likes to be looked upon highly. She is an overachiever, and completes her work as soon as it is assigned to her. Secondly, the Bogan NPC would have sensed Mia using the force to extend her senses. Considering the fact that I stated that you could have a lightsaber even if when you arrived, it is not listed there, I don’t think there is anything wrong with what I did.Mia also doesn’t have force sense listed in her character sheet as well, but I was still fine with her using force sense, and I am still fine with it. Besides, it does not matter if she is coming from a known force user faction. I believe that the Bogan official would certainly be cautious. Also, considering that you arrived in Sluis Van HQ with your PC Officer, the Bogan Official would know that KES was arriving, and meeting with Strati Defense Systems when the Bogan control Strati Defense Systems and they know that KES would be meeting with them since I made sure to reserve a room in Sluis Van HQ.

Thirdly, and lastly, I have already refuted the alias thing. My character has used that alias in many threads and just because it is not updated in his profile does not mean that it hasn’t been used. Your logic is flawed, and I have already provided an example as to why it is already flawed.

Yes, I am aware that NPCS would be considered (in a technical sense)characters but from what have seen as a member of the site, PCs add more value to the overall story of the site. In addition to that, you seem referring to your NPCS as if they are characters, PC characters, and my first and second statements respond to what you seem to be doing. NPCS are also not offered the same protections as PCS since actual can kill numerous NPCS and the NPCS just die.

Firstly, he got his communicator that was on his wrist and he typed it to Sluis Van officials in order to notify them that something was wrong. The code would also go to the Bogan temple in Sluis Van HQ. It would also go to the Bogan fleet in Sluis Van. While he was doing this, he made sure that it did not seem that he was doing anything hostile. Mia seemed focused on what was going on in the meeting so she might have not noticed this. Within seconds, Bogan officials and Sluis Van troops would be arriving, and the hangar troops would be alerted and going to where Mia was in order to arrest her. One also had to not forget that the meeting room was close to the hangar, and since a hangar of a facility was always patrolled due to its significance, the troops would arrive extremely quickly.

Sluis Van had been put on high alert ever since the Bogan had failed to win a complete victory in Fondor. While it was not a complete loss for the Bogan, the Sith were powerful enemies and the Bogan had been on high alert, having increased border patrols, sent more Bogan to reinforce key positions, etc. In fact, Samar himself had even given such orders.

Sluis Van HQ, being a major Bogan asset would be more alert than before. In fact, it would not be idiotic to assume that they had noticed that Mira was there, considering that she was carrying a lightsaber. Therefore, one had to wonder if Mira would even be able to get out of this.

My alias is mentioned in my character sheet. If you check my character sheet, specifically in the rp section, you will see that Samar Zinthoni is mentioned in the very bottom so yeah, he is mentioned. :p

Your right. I don't have a writeup for the NPC but there is a write up where it says in the Bogan sub forums that the Bogan host a temple in Sluis Van HQ so it is not idiotic to have my NPC be there, nor is it idiotic to have her contact the Bogan temple.

By the way, the admin ruling is about weapons and whatnot. Weapons and aliases are two completely different things. Besides, weapons influence a pvp situation. Aliases do not in any way.

No Write up for NPC means nothing is to be assumed. You want that NPC to be force sensitive? Say so. You want that NPC to have a wrist communicator or datapad? Say so. You did not, not until the very last post you did not. You then say "this happened before the negotiations even begun" and proceed to tell a narrative about events which you never wrote. That is metagaming my friend. You then have your NPC SOMEHOW know that because Mia is there, something is wrong, likewise meta. Mia has a lightsaber listed in her CP, which would mean that she is carrying it unless I specify she isn't. That's the point of having gear on the CP. Likewise force sense is very generic? I told you before I don't feel like it needs its own category on the CP, but offered to put it on my CP if you wanted.

Also keep in mind that I noted that she was monitoring the meeting. Not focusing so hard she'd miss someone being worried about her presence and alarming everyone in the general vicinity.

My proof is that the Dark Jedi of The Bogan is primarily a force sensitive faction. Boli even states that the faction is tailored toward force sensitives. In addition to that, the Bogan have Dark Jedi in Sluis Van so there are already NPCS in Sluis Van. You also didn't specify when you posted that Mia had a lightsaber but like I said, I am fine with her having a lightsaber in the thread.

It doesn't matter if your character was monitoring the meeting. Fact of the matter is, that would worry the Bogan inside Sluis Van HQ.

There very well may be Dark Jedi and Force Sensitive NPCs at Sluis Van. The predominant portion of the Bogan may be Force Sensitive, but that does not mean that your NPC is to be assumed force sensitive.

I've given the thread a look. I've come to the following conclusions/points:

1. NPCs are not covered by the Force-choke rule, and thus can be afflicted by this Force technique.
2. Silent Wind's description of the room detailing it as empty is not voided. The room should have been addressed long ago. As Silent Wind did not detail the room in his opening post, Prudii had the opportunity to do so in his post, which he neglected to perform as well. As such, the room was free to be described by anyone. Silent Wind's description stands. While the posts detail on the side of absolutes, they come from a subjective angle of the PC rather than an objective fact. As such, all attacks can be countered, as long as they are within reason; however, note that as they are NPCs, they will be unlikely to counter the maneuvers of the PCs nor kill him.
   
3. The Bogan official's alarm stands. However, even if the Bogan official is able to mask his maneuvers and feelings, it is unlikely that ever guard and worker at the shipyards would be able to employ such strategies as well. Mia would be able to sense such mobilization, though not immediately. Thanks Weiss! I sent you a PM because when I first read your ruling my eyes were blurry and I thought you said "I've given the thread a lock". My only standing issue that you didn't realy address is this:

TheSilentWind states that the Bogan official had a wrist communicator, and that before the negotiations started that he sent some message to all the Bogan officials and others, but TheSilentWind NEVER mentions this happening before the negotiations begin so it feels meta to me. Had he written it in earlier I would have been able to respond, but I am unable to respond to that as it happened in what should have been several posts ago, though he only just now mentioned its occurrence. I've given the thread a look. I've come to the following conclusions/points:

1. NPCs are not covered by the Force-choke rule, and thus can be afflicted by this Force technique.
2. Silent Wind's description of the room detailing it as empty is not voided. The room should have been addressed long ago. As Silent Wind did not detail the room in his opening post, Prudii had the opportunity to do so in his post, which he neglected to perform as well. As such, the room was free to be described by anyone. Silent Wind's description stands. While the posts detail on the side of absolutes, they come from a subjective angle of the PC rather than an objective fact. As such, all attacks can be countered, as long as they are within reason; however, note that as they are NPCs, they will be unlikely to counter the maneuvers of the PCs nor kill him.
   
3. The Bogan official's alarm stands. However, even if the Bogan official is able to mask his maneuvers and feelings, it is unlikely that ever guard and worker at the shipyards would be able to employ such strategies as well. Mia would be able to sense such mobilization, though not immediately. Prudii, I have multiple threads where the Bogan have put Sluis Van HQ on high alert. It is something that is established. I also believed that his third conclusion/point addresses this fact. I will pm the threads to @Dmitri

Actually the Sluis Van HQ was struck down by Dmitri. You never EVER IC Mentioned a wrist communicator or the use of it to send a warning.
