Personality:
He is an individual who is very good at keeping secrets and his true feelings hidden. Onimi is not an overly kind or compassionate person, but neither is he a cold blooded killer. He is not impulsive or calculating either, or at least, it does not seem so. He is one who follows his own path, doing what he believes is right, briefly thinking on things before reacting, but not overly so. Stopping to consider every step or choice in one's life is suicide; planning everything leads only to unprepared failures and no way to deal with them. The more you plan in life, the more likely you are to be caught unawares. The more impulsive or impromptu you are, the more likely you are to be busting in on something you'd rather not, and quick deaths. It's best to find the medium and react on quick logistics and tugs from the Force, not entirely on one's self.

Onimi is very opinionated, but knows when to shut up and listen, at least, most of the time. He knows from experience that it's better to be caught in a lie doing something you believe in, than tell the truth doing something you know in your heart to be wrong. The ends sometimes do justify the means, if it does more good than harm, and that doing something--anything--for the simple sake of doing it is a waste. Move with purpose, not because you have nothing better to do.

Does Onimi make jokes? Sure, but most of the time he is damn serious, though his jokes are pretty damn funny too.

History:
Onimi Neris was born to parents Leeann and Jacob Neris, on the city-planet Coruscant, though he was not raised by these people. He was not raised upon family foundations, or to carry close affiliations with any other but the Force and its guidance. He was raised a Jedi.

The way of the Jedi is often difficult, and Onimi's way is no different. Taken in not days after his birth, young Neris' earliest memories are of an old wise face staring down at him, one of the council members at the time, but he cannot be sure which one, as he was not taught by an old man, but by a master a little younger. This master brought him up to the stage of Knight, taking him on many missions through his teenage years to far away planets and space stations, following where ever the Force wanted. Onimi and his master went through innumerable adventures with each other, stopping the civil war on Kashyyyk, catching the pirates near the outer rim, and busting a spice run out of Hutt space.

Their most difficult mission however, they were not so prepared for. When Onimi was 20 standard years old, they left for the planet of Mecha 3, reacting to a plea for help. But upon arrival, it was obviously that the plea was really a ruse. Immediately after entering the atmosphere, they sensed that something was terribly wrong. The Force was absolutely silent, no calls for help, or pain, or even joy. The planet seemed dead to their ears. Their ship suddenly came under fire, almost crippling the craft and sending it crashing down to the surface. Onimi and his master each jumped into one of the ship's 2 starfighters tucked away onboard, and made for an escape, but whatever it was that was attacking them would not let them leave so easily. Onimi's craft took a hit in his left wing, sending him skittering into a tight roll dive, struggling for control, he attempted to angle his starfighter back up, but he was not quick enough. His ship plummeted to the surface, smashing through a low building and bouncing over to land in a burning heap. Onimi's master took a hit through the Force, clutching his heart and almost losing control of his own craft, over the loss of his friend. The fire from the enemy ships went silent as they raced down toward the debris, the Jedi Master wanted to follow them and retrieve his friend's body, but that would have been impossible, they had him outnumbered more than a dozen to one, and that's bad odds, even for a skilled Jedi. He was forced to head off into space, and alert the other masters of what had transpired on Mecha 3.

A blood curdling scream echoed through Neris' ears however, as he realized he was not yet dead. At least, not any more he wasn't. He awoke to find himself still within his burning starfighter, but he was not alone. Surrounded by scrambling machines, he found himself immobilized, with wires and sharp needles working fast all around him. Apparently these... things had jump-started his heart again, keeping him alive. But why? Suddenly he was aware that he was slowly losing consciousness, but he was not dying, not again. He was being administered some sort of drug, to put him out, Onimi tried to scream, to yell, to saying anything, but he could not. A tube was shoved down his throat, and his eyes closed.

For the next two days he was out cold, the drug keeping his consciousness suppressed, so the machines could do their work. It was supposed to last for at least a week or so, so by then the transformation would be complete, but their calculations did not include the fact that he was a Jedi, and the Force was not something that could be measured or calculated, it was not something that could be written down or even sensed by machines. He awoke, his eyes bloodshot, and the tube still lodged in Onimi's throat. He was in what appeared to be an operating room, with the machines still working madly [as depicted in the image at the top of the page] away upon his broken body. Gone were both legs from the knee down, instead two mechanical joints and lower halves of the human limbs remained. They were just about to cut into his left forearm when everything stopped moving. All the unfeeling sight nodules shifted over to the gray eyes that had opened, noticing that he had awoken prematurely. They were were not surprised, nor were they expecting it either, they were indifferent, for they did not have emotions. Only the need to create more like them, to harness his Intelligence, and to make more. More.

Onimi kicked out with his new leg, connecting with a machine at his feet, clunking together loudly and knocking it backwards. The machines all converged, coming at him from seemingly everywhere. Do not struggle, he suddenly heard within his head, as if these... cyborgs had already begun work on his brain and had implanted something within it that should not have been there. The leg he lashed out with sunk back to the table upon which he lay, and he found himself out of control of even that now, like they had also implanted a restraining bolt in him just like any other 'droid. Frantically, he reached out in the Force, searching for this thing his unknown enemies had put in him. He found it! Neris felt his liquid grasp of the Force fall upon a metallic material within the outer quadrants of his brain, reacting to the nerves cells controlling his movements. It was reaching out to his thought processes... But he would not let them win, not yet. He used the Force to push back his brain cells, tearing away the gadget and ripping it out from his apparently now bald, head. He leaped from the table with new found strength, redirected a blast shot with the Force and sending it back to its owner. Not even looking to see if he hit his target, Onimi bolted from the room, moving faster than he ever had before with his new joints. The 'droids were everywhere, coming in at him from all sides, like a horde of machinery all bent on the same mission: to sedate him. They did not want him dead, they already killed him once. They wanted to harvest his brain, and they could not do so if they killed him. Worse thing was, he realized, was that he was naked.

He slammed through a door across the hall and found another 'droid carefully guarding his possessions. Onimi's lightsaber flew into his open palm, igniting with a hiss and its orange light flashing through the machine and making the room more colourful with dazzling sparks. Now was his short chance to breathe and think for a brief moment. He needed to get the hell out of there. Reaching out with the Force, he let it take control of his actions, and guide him out of the facility and make it to some sort of space port, if there was one. He took the path to the left, cutting a swath through the machines with his orange blade, batting away stun bolts and slicing off metallic mandibles aimed to disarm him. Battling his way outside, he Force shoved a line of the 'droids away from him, and raced toward the sound of ships taking off, knowing there had to be some sort of craft left for him commandeer. But it was like everything was suddenly alert to his presence, with machines coming out of almost every orifice, he would not give up. Racing past them, he sliced open the few in his path, and closed the door behind him, which was immediately engulfed in fire so hot it melted away, leaving the 'droids free to continue the chase. He had no time to breathe, no more time to think, he was an escapee being chased by those who knew not what 'tired' was, and who would always be able to tell where he was hiding, but he had one advantage. They did not know where he was going, they had no forethought, their only objective was to capture him alive, they did not need to know where he was going.

Onimi found his way to the space port, keeping one step ahead of the horde of 'droids still hot on his heels, tearing apart every door he left closed behind. He was almost out, the faith he had put in the Force was not in vain, it led him straight to the space port, filled with numerous starfighters, freighters and transports. He jumped into one of the many starfighters and took off as fast as he could, shooting skywards and away from the facility below. Onimi probably would not have made it, were it not for the distraction caused by the other ships. Mercenaries, or pirates, or whatever they were had entered the atmosphere of Mecha 3, probably to engage in some form of illegal activity, but that didn't matter right now. Onimi opened up a hailing channel, trying to get their attention as the horde of 'droids launched off into their own vessels and came after him. Now there was something they could calculate, it was impossible for them capture Onimi now, with an almost entire fleet of pirates in their way. And so he was 'rescued' by pirates.

Believing that his master had left him for dead, Onimi decided to join the mercenaries for a time, living a life of small time criminal activity in the outer rim regions of the galaxy. He still retained some of his Jedi ideals, but no longer to the extent he used to.

Force Powers:
Onimi was trained in the ways of the Force, enabling him to channel the energy around him, but to an extent. In no way is he a master at controlling/using the Force, but he does know a few tricks, and is pretty good at masking his emotions and projecting mental images of things that may or may not be the truth.

Lightsaber Forms:
Ataru

Strengths:
Onimi displays high co ordinance with lightsaber combat, and is blessed with a unique Force affinity. Unlike other Force users, communicating through the Force is not so clumsy for young Neris, as his perception is amplified to such an extent that he is able to project brief feelings and images through the Force with incredible clarity, clarity unseen in most. It is this mental empathy that is his greatest strength, being able to share memories, real and unreal. Able to reach into another's open and willing mind, and experience their memories as if they were happening before his very eyes. [Clarification: The owner of the memory has to be willing, attempting to share on their own accord.]

Weaknesses:
Onimi Neris is not without his weaknesses, as none are. His offensive abilities are limited to his lightsaber for the most part, as he is lacking in aggressive Force powers at the present time. His master spent most of their time focusing on mental awareness; on the inherent abilities young Onimi already possessed, in order to strengthen that mental empathy. In this respect, his master weakened his potential for devastating offensive Force abilities.
(e.g. Force Lightning, Force Choke, Force Blast, etc.)

Gear:
Onimi's gear is simple.
A dark rust coloured robe, neither Jedi nor Sith attire, it is just a plain robe. Underneath lies the hilt of a lightsaber, it's blade one of fiery orange. And a pair of glasses, the frames dark brown.

Pets:
A Murloc

RPs:
Mental Projection
Fool's Gold

I like it, very nice, and well thought out.

I especially like the personality. He's this, but he's the opposite, but he's neither. It made me chuckle.

But yeah, a VERY nice first profile (here at least). Oh, and this is a fairly active, and very enthusiastic site, but that usually kicks in later, as it's sort of the downtime now, by my reckoning...

And besides, you've got to give people more time! If it's a good profile, then they'll come...

Only thing I could see is that, as a new member, you shouldn't have a Jedi Knight capable character. You could say he was on his mission to Knighthood when that happened or something though.

Well, if I did that, then he would have had enough experience in his life even after that fact to have become a 'knight capable' character. Any Force sensitive person past the age of 18 should be capable of Knight-like abilities. After 20 years of his life being trained as a Jedi, it only makes sense that he would be, in my opinion. But if the consensus says that I must lower my age and become padawan-like, or just lower his abilities, then I shall do so.

... I'd remove the pet. Murloc's don't exist in starwars.

Great profile, especially for a first here. I somehow doubt that this is your first of any RP forums.
