Link to thread: Romorla - Stage One - Marine Breach & Boarding Ops

So, from Corden's recommendations in the thread, we have two options to consider. The Ori'aran and Cabur designs for transport. Off the top of my head, I think having two of us inside an Ori'aran and the other two in either one or two Cabur ships would do nicely. Although, do you guys want to strike a single ship at a time together, or taking down our own ships individually? I'm down for either one.

Since I posted before this thread turned up, I took the liberty of putting Echoylir in a single Cabur class with a handful of warriors. The post is long, but I felt the need to establish Echoylir and his relationship to his clan.

I feel like I made a major gaffe by posting that much though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I gaffed up big time. The post completely excludes others from joining in. Goddammit. I can rework it, somehow. I don't know what I was thinking beyond what I've already said, but somehow it looks wrong to me.

Not too long of a post bro, it's all good. As long as the events don't conflict too much, and there's room for us to flexibly fit ourselves in, we can communicate ICly as we're on our way.

So, I guess we're good with at least one person being in a Cabur. I'm kind of leaning towards a Cabur myself. If the other two (can't remember names, sorry) want to jump in an Ori'aran together and we stampede forward, it should be pretty quick.

Silver, what are your thoughts on targets? We each take a strike team to a ship, or we proceed together to completely commandeer one of their vessels?

I would say we could quite easily take over a Providence with four teams. Keeping on one ship will actually fix my gaffe too, which would be a weight off my mind.

A team to take the engine room, another to silence the main weapons batteries ( which have their own decks with crew served guns as seen in Ep3 ), one for the main bridge and another to do roaming sabotage/kill team duties? It all really depends on if we want to cripple or capture it.

I definitely agree that it depends what our goal is. I think for the first ship, we should try to commandeer it, and turn it against them by manning the ship with our NPC support (the extra dozen Caburs and what-else. Our specific teams could carry on to the next ship and carry out the cripple/destroy procedure.

If you agree with this, I suggest we make it as a subtle, sudden attack so their caught off guard and have a chance to nuke everything around us before getting targeted. For this, I would suggest starting with the elevator system and command bridge. If we control where their forces are, we can space the decks from the bridge before taking the gun deck.

As for taking on the next ship... How long do you think it would take to cut through the bottom of a ship's hull? My first guess is pretty long, but I'm not as familiar with ships than other topics.

Okay now that I am writting on my post, is there something you guys want me to think about. Maybe include someone on the ship that Cabur is on, or something similar that can be worth of writing?

Nothing comes to mind on my end beyond attacking the same Providence class destroyer I mentioned in my post.

Reworking my post because I'm a perfectionist arsehole who is never satisifed with his own writing.

If you guys want to do any sort of coordination with us flyboys just let me know. I'm the only one doing fleet stuff, everyone else is playing fighter jockey.

Oh, and just a thought...if you commandeer a ship, why don't you just ram the bugger into as many nearby ships as possible? Quicker than shooting at them in my opinion.

Could work. A Providence class is essentially a massive space dildo anyway. Could be amusing to spear multiple Lucrehulks.

Well now that I have posted in the thread, all we gotta do is wait for the rest. If anyone want to be in the same ship as Cabur is and listen to the wonderful chant feel free to say what ship it is, I'm leaving that up to the person that decides to be on the same ship as Cabur is on.

Post fixed. Echoylir's team is now the vanguard cutting team for the following transports, burning out a large enough hole for the larger Ori'aran transports and their boarding tubes.

Where is this posting order that I apparently missed? I'm sorry by the way.

copy and save the post in a document and then delete the post after you have saved the post in a doc.

Nothing. It's fine, mistakes happen. We'll roll with it.

Or do what Nirvana said.
