He watched her movements, first observing to see if she had any bright ideas about using weapons, and next on her body language in general. As she began talking about payment, Jace paid attention to the way she looked at him and her tone. He didn’t forget her nuances back in the cantina. Either it was all an act, or she really was easygoing in that regard.
Jace gave her a smirk, “I’m fresh out of credits and I’m not giving you my bounty,” He walked towards her, closing the distance and leaning down so his hands planted on either side of her seat. His emerald gaze glinted as he grinned at her, “I might just have to get creative,” He said with a sultry tone. He was entirely aware of where her weapons were to act on a whim if she moved suddenly. For now, he posed no threat, the teasing smile on his face and a cool confidence in his demeanor.
