Let me make it clear, because this was misunderstood and I did not care enough at the time to actually clarify.

I was making the distinction between the two sovereign states so those of the forum outside of Ireland would know, that despite the shorthand for the geographical area, which comprises of thousands of islands actually, Ireland is not infact a part of Britain.

Clarifying the differences between the geophraphical and the political is important for these kinds of mixed up words, it's unfortunate that they are in fact still refered to as the British Isles, but I don't really give a shit about that. I care about the political distinction, hence my clarification.
