Ask Prisoners of War

"I'll look, there is not likely to be very many delicious options," he said. He turned and walked away again. He wandered the halls looking for a kitchen of some sort. He found a still cold canteen of what appeared to be water in the captain's quarters and took a swig from it himself before walking back to Hailee's cell. He passed it to her through the bars. "Only thing I could find," he said.

She already knew that this dungeon ship would not offer the chance for fancy drinks, but Hailee was used to it and water was fine either way. She watched him go and let a slight relived sigh escape her mouth while standing up. At least he would not try to starve her out, or so it seemed to her at the moment. As he returned, she stepped forward and took the water gratefully, because her throat really felt a little sore from the thirst. "Thank you, water is fine", she answered calmly. Her frustration was leaving for the moment, because she felt at least a little safer by having the possibility to drink and secondly, Ronan did not seem as hostile as in the beginning.

Ronan left again, and continued to search the ship for a pair of stun cuffs that prevent Hailee from trying anything. He had decided to take her to his home world of Moraband, coming to the conclusion that she could be useful to the Sith. He was searching for a solid hour before he found an open pair on the floor of an empty cell. He picked them up and took them back to Hailee, where she was finishing her drink. "Give me your hands," he said, extending the cuffs.

Hailee waited patiently in her cell, having no idea what he was doing right know. She still tried to figure out what she would do if she could somehow manage to overthrow him, but she still considered her chances as very low. As he returned he held something in his hands that basically looked like hand-cuffs and her first impulse was to simply refuse to follow his orders, but she knew that he would then simply make her do it by manipulating her and she was to tired to try to resist. Reluctantly, she stepped forward and extended her arms, just like he wanted, because she knew that whatever he was planning, he was probably taking her somewhere else and that could be the chance for her escape. She simply had to wait, even though patience was not her strong suit. "Seems like you changed your plans", she observed with a slight smirk.

Ronan cuffed her hands together in front of her, sticking his hands through the bars. He pressed a button on the side of the wall, and her cage slid open. "If you use the Force even a tiny bit these cuffs will zap you to high hell," he said. Or at least he thought they would. Her grabbed her elbow and pulled her out of the cell. "Escape is pointless, I wouldn't do it if I were you," he said as he led her down the hall. His ship was docked to the outside of the dungeon ship they were on. He let go of her elbow and pushed her towards the ladder adjoining his ship to this one.

[Hailee Lightwood]

While he was cuffing her hands together, she thought for a brief moment that she could attack him with all her strength and make a run for an escape pot or whatever, but she knew that it was foolish. She still glared at him, not really amused about being handcuffed by him now, because it would make her even more helpless and give him more control over her. As he mentioned the zapping, she knew for sure that using the Force was also no option anymore so she obeyed for now, like a tamed wolf that was just acting like a domesticated pet until the time was right. He yanked her out of the cell quite roughly and steered her towards the ladder that was probably there for entering his ship. "Okay, okay. Understood", she replied with a sigh towards his threat, just as she reached for the first step of the ladder and started the unstable climb. It was not easy to reach for the next one, as her hands were not only cuffed but also quite heavy from the metal around her wrist and additionally, the steps were thin and kind of slippery and Hailee was normally quite good a climbing. But so the inevitable happened. She missstepped and was not able to regain her balance, falling backwards from the current step, into the unknown behind her, expecting a wave of pain that was about to consume her body.

Ronan, on instinct, reached out and caught her, his arms catching under her arm pits almost like a trust fall. Her head lay on his shoulder as he stumbled back a little. Her body was quite warm. "Pull yourself together," he said, and it was unclear if he was talking to himself or Hailee. He boosted her up and kept a hand on her back as she continued to go up the ladder. They made it into his ship, and he left her standing over the trapdoor that had closed, walking into the cockpit. He detatched from the ship and took off into space. He waited to launch into hyperspace; he would need to refuel first, before he started the journey to Moraband.

[Hailee Lightwood]

Surprisingly, the Sith caught her with immense reflexes. As soon as she landed on his warm body, she felt his strong hands under her arms. Well, of course trained Force users had great reflexes, but she wasn't so sure why he decided to catch her. Maybe it was just an instict, because she really questioned the advantages of him saving her. "Thank you", she mumbled out of politeness, but this whole situation made her really feel a little uncomfortable, which was why she climbed up rather fast with his help. It was strange to have physical contact to the man that had taken her as a prisoner, but it helped her to get up, so she didn't complain and kept any snappy comments to herself. He turned out to be a little more helping and kind right know, but that did not mean that she would willingly accept his touch if it had a different purpose than helping her.
