Pujool's sixth moon held the primary slaver base that Kotii came to thwart. But Kotii was targeting the airial support facility in this moment. The base was structured as a hangar overlooking a large canyon a ways away from the Crypt facility. Inside at least a dozen scyk starfighters sat and a collection other personal ships were housed inside along with their crews.

Some of the ships were likely taken from some of the people they pirated. At least the ones they didn't handle too roughly or destroy outright. But they appeared to have a well organized operation compared to other slaving rings. the Zann Consortium were known to use other ships in ages past to the point of having a notable fleet. A great deal of Mandalorian technology and engineering aided their operations whether it was intentional or not. Now it felt good to be reclaiming some of these products and neutralizing the scum that had been using them. It felt rightious and Kotii was not ashamed to admit it.

The trick was that aside from approaching the base directly and fighting through a squadron of starfighters they would have to sneak into the base on foot. House Solus lacked the assets of stealth technology so far. The Alor aspired to get a set of scatterweave coated armor at some point but that was going to come later.

Dropping onto the VI Moon had required them to travel with an asteroid swarm. Landing on the far side of the moon and then taking the better part of a day on swoop was not the most fun traveling he had performed but Kotii was glad to have the base in sight now. He carried his usual equipment with him and a spare combat fusion cutter and a not-so-new but recently acquired R-799. A few extra rounds of ammo were stowed on the balutar swoop.

An Aurore class approached and slowed with a flanked escort of two different looking ships. Kotii's eyes widened a bit and was glad they had not challenged them at ship to ship combat. That would have meant Mandalorian loses since the two four-winged starviper attack platforms guided the YV-865 into the hanger. Zooming out of his scout HUD, Kotii looked at his partner for a moment from behind his helmet to give him a knowing look despite the relative blank looking T-visor. <"I hope you remembered to bring your ascension gun"> This voice came over the helmet comm-channel in Mando'a with a joking tone to ease any tension, though he would expect the fellow Mandlorian to be prepared.

Kotii was not going to rely on the swoop bikes for mobility nor grapple hooks and ascension guns, though he had brought all of them. Foregoing dart launchers on his knee pads, Kotii had a jetpack on his back with a missile attachment fitted to it. Hopefully he would not need to use it against any ships. But it would serve the Alor better than some tranquilizer darts for this mission.

Skjorn had accompanied Kotii for this mission to further foster the relations between Solus and the Orar'da'yadr. He wasn't sure if they would ever join the Coalition, but he hoped some sort of friendship would diminish any sort of chance of infighting. With Srucayr busy on Onderon, this would fall to him.

The young War Priest had switched out his jet boots for a jet pack and due to the earlier briefing from his companion, he had brought an ascension gun. This wouldn't be his first infiltration op, but like Kotii he also wished he had scatterweave. At Kotii's voice, his visor would shift to him and he laughed. "Oh yeah. I've done some free climbs in the past but that would not be any fun compared to this."

Though the Orar'da'yadr had the resources and means to assault the base en masse, they wanted to reclaim the stuff inside. Not destroy it. "Howd you guys find out about this place anyways?" Hed ask, giving his other usual weapons the once over. "I'm ready on your mark, Alor."

Cas had come with all the stuff and things that her contemporaries had also come with; whatever tools were needed to get the job done and then some, including a pack of bubblegum. It was no simple thing, the Mandalorian having acquired it from the man Dalore Ian; a self-ascribed ‘trader of fine delights’ and the bubblegum had certainly caught her eye.

It was easy enough to talk and chew at roughly the same time but at that moment the exchange of words was between Cas' two partners. This wasn’t the first time that Solus and Praxor had partnered up, nor either with the Orar’da’yadr, though she could not recall working with Naskar before.

First time for everything, first time won’t be the last, more fun to come and then some. There was yet nothing so routine about this operation, however, for it marked the makings and movings of Mandalorian mountains to come. Clan Praxor, House Solus, the Orar’da’yadr—Aliit ori'shya tal'din.

Chewing on those words, Cas was content to quietly caper along beside her two points that marked the triangular edges of one kriffing sharp sword-point above a hilt that only Mandalorians like these could wield. Come to shave the skin off a pack of pirates down to their brittle bone...then snip their balls off.

"Recon and intelligence gathering." The red armored warrior replied to Skjorn's question. Data collection and analyzing was not something most people thought a Mandalorian did but for Kotii it was essential. "If a wampa is rampaging about...the logical thing to do is to look for its sleeping cave right?" Pujool made the most sense for a base in the Kotii's mind and it had been the case for the slavers too who had drawn the conclusion ages ago. "Tracking the Lictor class prison barge, it always stops here in this system and then heads back out to collect elsewhere." He meant the ship emptied its prisons into the base to be stored and moved later to be sold to some other group or to be used by the Zann Consortium. "As for this specific outpost..." The helmeted head jutted it's chin in the direction of their target location. "...they don't exactly make it hard to miss when they have wings of starfighters coming in and out regularly." The trick had been to not be seen while reconnoitering in the system. The slavers did not need to hide here so had made little efforts to conceal their presence like more covert operations. Hopefully that would be to the Mandalorians' benefit.

Dismounting fully from the swoop bike, Kotii drew a poncho over the bike that he had a spare of. The cloth matching mostly the color of the surrounding terrain would keep them from being spotted in the event there were foot patrols. The bikes would be too loud for them to approach with any closer.

"Oya." He growled to signal the others to join him. The Alor's jetpack lifted him off the ground and a few meters away from the cliff face. Flying up it like a reverse wing-suit glider he cut the rockets early but let the momentum take him a precisly timed stop on a small maintenance balcony on the side of the base. At this hight the wind blew across the walkway and Kotii. An access panel sat beside the door which the black-magna gloved hand used to pull open. It would almost seem like a force pull but was nothing more than gloves. Kotii turned to shield his body from the wind slightly as he produced his port scanner and inserting a security spike. The subsequent ticking of the rotating cylinder would work. "Keep an eye out. This might take a moment." He said and focused on slicing the door.

Naturally the Alors decided answer was the common sense answer. Obviously, recon would be done. He had hoped for something more insightful like assets they possessed. But he couldn't be choosy in the moment. When the word came for them to move out, he would ignite his jetpack and fall in line with the rest, coming to a stop on a flattened outcrop.

As Kotii toyed with the security spike, Skjorn would remain focused on their surroundings, his helmeted gaze scanning their surroundings. His DC-17x would be in its sniper modulation. "So far, so good." He mused into his comms before his scope focused on a group of speeders heading towards the opening above them. "Get small. Pirates fifty seconds out. Should have just enough time to breach before they get close."

Jetpacks. Kriff me sideways, this never gets old! Cas was in her moment for all the moments it took her rockets to spit fire and propel her to the balcony.

Short and sweet, sometimes long and leisurely, either way should always lead to a Mandalorian feeling that much more proud that they—Mandalorian—managed to master the art of the jetpack more than any other people from Dantooine to Kinooine and everywhere in between.

The sister joined her brothers, smiling behind her visor as Kotii added some sass to his Force-user counterparts when his gloves did basically the same thing that their hands could do. Who won the war again? Right...but what about the next one?

As Kotii busied himself with slicing, Cas got small at the behest of her other vod. “Fifty seconds?” She scoffed. “Was it fifty seconds before or after you announced that it was fifty seconds?”

Checking her figurative watch, it appeared that maybe thirty seconds remained. “Uh oh.” Her own scope announced. “That speeder has a crew of two and at the back is of all things a sni—”

PHWOOM!

The blaster bolt bit into the metal right beside Cas’ head, though fortunately that metal was not her own helmet. The wall convulsed in a series of sparks and Cas did not wait around to witness most of them. Her eye was to the scope. Her finger was on the trigger. Let’s dance.

Kotii's red helmet turned to the side only momentarily as Skjorn announced sight of an enemy. "That's...enough." He replied as he returned to the act of slicing the door. They could try to skip past the difficult part to get quick access but that would alert any securty measures and bring a guard to look into this. Plus if they really wanted to dig into the Alor's access, they would see the type of device and breach he had made in the door. So that left the slow option. He only needed about twenty seconds.

The door was almost unlocked when a blast bolt impacted the wall beside his comrade. So much for being covert. Reaching into the control panel he pulled out a cord linked to another port and brought it to the circuit connector. A spark sounded and the door slide open without and remained there. They now had a way inside the base though lacked the element of surprise. With a sniper, they must have spotted them after they flew. They had been as quiet as long as they could and now the slavers and their base armaments were on high alert. "Karking perfect." He sighed and unholstered his rocket pistol before heading inside. "Looks like we gotta clear these hut'uun after all."

Kotii was good at slicing, efficient. It was a rare skill for their kind and one he respected. No sooner than Cas spoke did the sound of blasterfire hitting the wall respond. Luckily there had been time enough for Kotii.

As he climbed in, Skjorn would get settled. "Sisters, brothers, move." He exhaled slowly as his trailed the sniper and squeezed gently on the trigger. The bolt would rip through the shoulder of the driver and slam against the letharis cuirass of the sniper, the force sending him falling from the speeder. If the bolt didn't kill him, the landing would. "One down, driver still in play."

“And we got no time to play,” Cas responded to Skjorn’s announcement. It was bad timing and bad luck all around, yet brilliant timing all the same with Kotii’s skill of the slice.

Wasting no time, the three siblings in spirit stormed onward. However or whenever their enemy had caught onto them, well, the latter's luck would run out quicker than the Mandalorians’. Cas was counting on it.

That sniper was quite a shot, moving vehicle and all, though he missed more than Skjorn did. Cas had a scope too. PHWOOM!

Barrel's bolt bit back at the bantha druks. Hers had sunk into a sweet spot, shattering a bike into a cloud of fire that swallowed its neighbor. There was more to come. The Mandalorian’s rifle would not be the only one to greet them.

Kotii led the trio into the base. The sound of echoed voices rang down the hall from main rooms ahead of them. The Mandalorian came into view of a hail of blaster cannon fire. The wall beside him exploded in atomized metal and carbon scoring. The triplicated pincer feet of two droidekas around the corner continued to tap as the relatively slow machines continued to advance. They definitly knew where they were.

"Shab! Naast beskar'ad!" Kotii dropped down around the corner only have the paint on the side of his helmet peel away by a near miss. They would meet light blaster cannons and even with a chest plate of pure beskar the Alor bet he would feel an impact.

If the other two thought they could take out two droidekas, great. But otherwise they would maybe want to find away around the heavily armed and defending droids. There were likely more slavers defending the base beyond them. Kotii blind fired around the corner, managing to have one of the micro-missiles impact the droid, completely destroying one of its arms and causing its shield to flutter for a moment and then come back. The other five heavy explosive rounded struck halls and walls beyond the droids or before.

Turning his scrapped helmet to look back at Skyjorn and Casany "If you have something heavy, use it. Otherwise..." he clicked into place a new magazine for his surprisingly quiet rocket pistol. The other black gauntlet produced a thermal detonator. "...I'll try this next." He knew that trying would be successful. In fact it would probably open up the entire hallway and the levels above and below if there were any. But it would eliminate the droidekas.

Thankfully, Skjorn wasn't the only one with a good shot. The death of two, would give their enemies pause, for now. Moving in after Kotii, a hail of blaster fire would rain towards them and he dove for cover. Droidekas. He hadn't ever fought one before. And he was sure none of his kin had fought them since the Clone Wars. Slinging the DC-17x, he would reach for his disruptor rifle. "This is the heaviest I got before going explosive!" he'd yell to Kotii.

One Droideka was better than two damaged ones. So he would pop up and fire one of his disruptor rounds into the shield, causing it to fizzle out before back on, seconds later. A bolt would ping against his cuirass, forcing him onto his back. "Alright, I'm going to hit him again! Be ready to take him down." He'd shout over the blaster fire to the Solus' closest to him who nodded.

Expelling the cartridge, he'd load up another one and pop from cover, firing the disruptor round into the shield of the damaged droideka. "Now!" The shield would fizzle and a trio of Solus' would break from cover, mowing down the damaged droideka and scrapping him.

One of the Solus would peek from behind cover and curse, speaking into his comm. "Alor, we got at least eight pirates coming towards us about two floors up."

DESTROYER DROIDS! Oh kriff my life and kiss my inexistent wife for every kriffing time there’s a DESTROYER DROID

Cas didn’t have long to dwell on destroyer droids before she ended up taking cover from their furious fire.

In her experience you kind of had to penetrate their defenses, close in for some up close and personal, or otherwise render them inexistent from afar.

Amid the exploding and the expelling, Cas put herself to use by helping in exterminating the droidekas with her own firepower after missiles and stuff did their stuff.

The next problem was about two floors up. “Dance, dice and detonate.” Cas nodded her cryptic tongue toward Kotii.

“Blow a hole through the levels above and I’ll fly up in a jiffy.” Slinging rifle back over back, she produced two pistols and prepped her pack. Ready, set, jet . . .

Kotii's eyes widened at the sight of the disruptor. A silent nod and Skjorn was already moving into position to fire. It was better than making a giant hole in the center of the base. But skyron took blaster cannon shots and was smoking. Another hit and he would be dead, regardless of his armor. At least it had bought them what they needed. Casany unceremoniously finished them off the damaged droideka. He was cheering on the inside.

The three of them returned to cover as more shots came their way. The Alor heard Casany's idea and then looked back down at the thermal detonator. Switching it to explode on impact, he slowly began to cause the explosive to lift with his magna-gloves. Arching tendrils of superficial electricity connected the spherical device to the manipulation of his gloves. It wasn't the Force. It was just the technology on either hand.

It was a weird angle to hit the ceiling with a good throw so using the magnetic control over the ordinance was more precise. Similar to Skyron, Kotii was not saved from the blaster cannons that the droideka wielded, taking a glancing shot from the blaster cannon. But in the end it would get the thermal detonator exploding over its head and partially down the half on the ceiling. The droideka only remained as a tripod. Everything above its midsection had been disintegrated by the thermal detonator. <"Right behind you."> He said, indicating they would follow suite after she went up. The man fired more shots down the hall towards the Zann Consortium guards to both eliminate some of them as well as provide cover for the other two.

Kotii and Cas had gone up a level. That mean he had to draw fire so the new enemies had no idea they were about to get beamed from the same level. His visor would shift to some of the Solus' <"Brothers and sisters, distract the enemy with me!">

He would break from cover, slinging the disruptor as he advanced and pulling his DC-17x. Blaster bolts would rain all around him, fired from kin and pirate alike. He would just have to do the quick transition from sniper to rifle. Once completed, he would level his blaster and begin to open up on the enemy.

Beskar was a Mandalorians best friend and the armor had saved some of those with him from death, but he was sure there would be fresh bruises. His bolts would find one mark, then two, before he heard the clink of a detonator land some meters behind him, followed by the warning from another Mando. <"Detonator!">

Skjorn and his group would dive to avoid the blast, most of them escaping it save for one who got launched just beyond Skjorn. Struggling to regain his feet, the War Priest would once more advance, seeing a laser sight resting on the throat of the downed Mando. Diving, the bolt would rip through his shoulder, but spare the downed Solus. A shoulder for a vod, it seemed a fair trade to him.

More small arms fire shot down the hall, making a wall of superheated plasma for a moment. But even the enemy had to reload, the curse of weapons overheating echoed as the zap of the blasters began to lessen. Casany did not move at the opening so Kotii did.

Blasting off, the mandalorian flew up into the hole that was made to get to the next level. Focusing on movement, stray shots narrowly avoided Kotii or glanced off a plate. Thermal detonator in hand, he chucked the ordenance into a group of three, with a fourth at the edge of the blast. The desintegrating blast vaporized their targets allowing Kotii to move into the level above per the Praxor's plan.

Hearing Skjorn call for him and Cas did not make Kotii slow down. He wasn't sure if the mandalorian was just trying to draw attention though he was doing it in Mando'a. The control center was just ahead. The Alor holstered his rocket pistol and swapped it out for his heavy blaster.

Moving into the room alone, Kotii fired on shot into a trandoshan's chest armed with a rifle. A bith carring an elctroripper activated it only to recieve a similar bolt to the chest, like its melee weapon was going to protect it. The black handed warrior moved around to the terminal and shoved the smoking body off the controls and began slicing in. In a matter of moments the hangar doors would lock the ships in and seal compartments in the cliff-face that were requiring outer ventilation for circulation. This would take out a great deal of the interrior defenses. Furthermore, the badger sent out a signal to the other forces of House Solus now that the infilitration team had done the work, the others could move in and help with clean up.

@Rhogar @Die Shize End Thread.
