Saren, the ever so treacherous bastard, has made it through the the Civil Wars, killed some guys, sold some others into slavery is seeking for something to help him sleep better at night. Seeing as he doesn't want to take a lot of drugs or commit suicide, Saren is out there looking for a way.

I've talked about this idea with another, but I never followed up. I was wondering who might be up to taking in a war criminal, specifically a Jedi of some sorts. Either a really white knight type or the gray kind that might make him feel not so bad about all the death. It'll be a trip filled with emotions, old habits and the the journey to a day where this guy can rest his weary eyes and let it go.

I've brought back my Jedi though I have no plans for him. He could serve as the light wider.

Hmm. Tell me more.

You were the one I talked to before, ass. Haha.

Essentially I'd like the character to progress in a particular fashion, although you know me, I'm not looking for an absolute rigid way for the story to turn out. I imagine it like how soldiers find faith after wars and deployments, that they are changed at a fundamental level from all the things they've seen and done. They end up looking for that way to either forgive themselves and forget what they had left behind. The Jedi are holistic in nature, much like a faith or a form of therapy. Saren's a veteran of a war he helped caused and thus he's feeling pretty guilty and sick on the inside. His soul is stained and he'd much rather not really live at all anymore. After being alive for so long, escaping death and causing the many deaths of others; it's a huge burden to hold on your shoulders for any amount of time. His clan is gone too, leaving him no family to really speak of. Thus, Saren remembers hearing about the Jedi. A particular group he never really fought against, just knew of the order itself.

tl;dr

Saren's a war veteran who came back more lost than he started and wants to look for the Jedi and hopefully appease his inner demons.

Not sure if you're looking for a particular type of Jedi, but I have one and this sounds like a cool idea so I thought I'd just throw it out there. :P

Honestly, a padawan wouldn't be a good choice. Saren would interpret her lack of knowledge, rank and experience as something that doesn't add up to his idea of the Jedi. If anything, he'd probably just try to take her lightsaber and shame her a bit. Lmao.

I would be more than happy to offer Vin for this particular story. I think he would be a good support structure and councilor. Especially with the fact that he falls more into the grey Jedi area than anything.

I know, you were like a total tease about it, too. I'm still interested, though Miri is sort of buttmad that the old Council was mean to her and took her promotion away, so I'm not entirely sure if she fits your idea 100%.

Bee, I choose you.

(was this choice an obvious one?)

I think we can assimilate the plotline into it regardless of her current feelings and just maybe (hear me out) they'll both end up finding different purposes for the Jedi Order and its teachings. Someone who has a falling out with faith and whatnot can end up in a better position. People who lose everything end up having the chance to obtain anything. A pissed off Jedi comes across a wandering Mandalorian with a desire to become one of their own; proving to be a fruitful relationship where they both learn things from one another.

Has this RP already started? The Destitute has not had any good action in a while, and high-functioning sociopaths are quite understanding
