Rei, born Reine Marie Bijou, is a Teevan New Republic Ranger based out of Coruscant with her partner in crime law, Luna Chu. She's a brand-spanking-new ranger, and she doesn't have much experience outside the big city.

Rei comes from Coruscant, and the girl was lucky enough to be born into a middle-class family only a couple of hundred levels from the surface. Her mother worked as a librarian at a nearby public university, and her father was a former local politician that had moved on to teach engineering at the same university as her mother. With two parents so focused on education and academia, it was no wonder that Rei grew up so studious.
The girl really loved school for the first half of her schooling and excelled at it. She was in accelerated courses through her first year of high school, and the girl participated in several different extracurricular activities in her free time. Rei was the quintessential student, up until she wasn't.
Freshman year, third period, freshman algebra. Rei was bullied relentlessly by a group of kids for having a glass eye (which she lost as a kid in a terrible accident) and for being a nerd. Those same kids ended up in her class and spent weeks tormenting her over everything they could find. Her eye, her glasses, her hair, her hormonal acne... anything. Rei was an awkward girl, not to mention a huge wallflower and very soft-spoken, and she didn't have it in her to stand up for herself. Her grades started to slip, she started circling around back home instead of taking the bus to school, and Rei spent more and more time on the HoloNet than in the classroom.
Eventually, Rei's parents noticed and grounded her indefinitely until she got her grades back up. The girl's first day back at school was by far the worst, as her bullies knew exactly why she'd been ditching. They escalated the torment tenfold, and Rei quickly became fed up. In her time off school, she'd befriended a group of fellow teens online who made it a hobby to doxx others, DDoS websites for fun, and generally hack their sticky little fingers into whatever they could wiggle into. After explaining her situation, the group agreed to help her get her revenge.
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and knowing she'd have her fill got Rei through the next week and a half while she worked with her friends to get back at them. She began secretly recording their conversations while her friends scoured their socials for any dirt, and when the time came to retaliate, Rei set up an anonymous social media account and got as many kids from the school to follow her as she could. She then posted every incriminating item she had against them. Within hours, the entire school knew about their dirtiest secrets, in addition to the extent of their bullying.
Some of the bullies were expelled; others were pulled out by their parents from the social ostracization they began to experience. Rei could've gone back to her happy studious self, but the experience had planted a seed of justice in her chest. Her plan to follow in her parents' paths and apply for university right after high school went right out the window, and Rei instead set her sights on the New Republic Rangers.
Her new skills in slicing kept her grades up and her attendance decent while she spent her free time hunting down minor local criminals and exposing businesses for shady practices with her new friends. What she was doing was far from legal at times, but she justified it knowing that in the end, she was helping someone.
When Reine graduated, she finally told her parents she would not be applying to university. Though her father was understanding to some degree, her mother was absolutely livid, and the conversation devolved into a shouting match. It ended up with Reine moving out, and she made ends meet by working at an entry-level IT job while she waited until she was old enough to enroll in ranger school. Two years later, Rei enrolled, then made her way through the programs and graduated with a shiny new badge.
Only time would tell if this was truly the calling she was looking for.

Slicing. Rei didn't forget the slicing skills she learned in high school, and she was able to combine them with the legal holosecurity skills she took classes on while in ranger school. Though not quite an amateur anymore, she still has plenty of room to improve.
Languages. Rei speaks Basic, Twi'leki, and Huttese, and she can understand Binary.
Eidetic memory. Also known as 'photographic memory', this ability is both a blessing and a curse for Rei, allowing her to close her eyes and see objects in her mind's eye just as clearly as if she had taken a photograph, even days or weeks after she saw the object. Rei has a much easier time recalling text than objects or faces, with the latter two being much vaguer than the former.

Though she primarily uses standard-issue pistols or blasters, she is competent with long-range and heavy-damage firearms as well. In addition to her training with firearms, Rei is up to par with the New Republic Rangers' standards regarding hand-to-hand combat and melee weapon usage. This being said, she prefers to keep her enemies far past arm's length.
