Sadis lifted herself up on her tiptoes to try to see over the crowd, biting her lip as she tried to get a glimpse of the people walking off the transport.

Today was the day, and what a perfect day for it; the sun was shining, there were only a few puffy clouds to speak of, and the gentle breeze offered relief from the sun if one was sensitive to such things. It was a shy late spring for Tae'Sha, and it was the perfect display of the planet's natural beauty.

She was growing a little frustrated, she had been here early in the day, not wanting to miss the transport and not knowing when it would arrive, just that it was today - and now it was here! Yet she could not see.

Kintalla was supposed to come home today, he had been on a job-related trip for the past three weeks now, and she missed him - it was so lonely at home. She didn't feel quite secure, she just couldn't relax alone - after all, they lived near a forest, and there was always the threat of a pack of darhyms attacking - and though she had weapons, she couldn't carry them as they were unwieldy to carry when she might be exposed to the danger, and she wasn't strong enough to fight - and not strong enough to fight much anything, not just the darhyms. She... just didn't feel safe without him. That was part of the reason she was barely able to get any sleep - the other being that... it was just so cold at night alone. And when sleep did come, the dreams were fitful and disturbing - one had even been about Kintalla having an affair... it was awful, though she knew he was too kind to do that to her. She had awoken to weeping.

She tried once more to jump, though she could not jump high, nor for long enough to discern what she saw, she just hoped her merry red attire might easily be seen by him - one of the reasons she had chosen to wear it.

Where was he?

Business as always. Kintalla had found himself having to pay a lot of attention to his occupations lately, whether it be his own delivery service which he only owned now or one of his various jobs to keep up the income; he found that he could not get a lot of time to go home to Sadis. He worried about her at times and prayed that she did not have another one of her attacks while he was away.

This particular trip involved the current manager of his delivery business and the possibility that he was squandering credits from the customers. Kintalla had to travel around to a bunch of clients and in the end determined that the manager was indeed stealing and ended up getting him put in jail for a pretty severe amount of time.

When the transport finally arrived at the station, Kintalla tried to rush off to make sure everything was alright, but found it hard with the hordes of people squishing out of the tiny doors. He sat down and waited for everything to thin out before finally being able to make his way out and into the open. There he stood, the light breeze blowing his jacket back and leaving his necklace waving across his chest. He couldn't see Sadis, but he made sure to get away from the pack to make himself stand out.

She continued waiting, eagerly trying to look over and around the crowd's heads, searching for that one face she knew so well... but he didn't show up. As the crowd thinned and only a trickle of people made their way out of the vessel, she began to feel the sting of despair. Maybe... maybe had could not get home on that one... maybe he was delayed... but at any rate, she didn't see him. At length her attempts at seeing past the few people left grew less vehement, almost fizzling out as more and more people left, until, taking one last look around, she sighed despondently, and slowly turned around, walking back towards her speeder, parked now almost alone instead of in the madness of the others as it had been earlier.

She stopped near a tree, trying to shed her disappointment now as she turned her head towards it, stroking its bark as she pondered and tried not to think of how she had set everything to rights in the house and had a wonderful dinner set up - the right stuff cooling, the right stuff warming... not to mention the lunch that was broiling - it was one of the more difficult to make, but she knew he liked it, and she had wanted him to feel at ease and at rest when he came home... he must be so tired. Her head drooped as she left her tall lone comfort and began to plod back, but, just in case, she turned her head back once more, scanning the now normally populated landing area. Her eyes slowly moved over the echo of a crowd, and kept moving once she had seen them, near the field, out to the left...

"Kin?" she whispered to herself as she turned around.

There he stood - she knew it now. How could she not know? How could she have missed him? How could she have -

"Kin!" She shouted happily, eyes brightening, cheeks flushing in anticipation, heart fluttering as, despite the fact that it probably wasn't good for her, she broke out into a full run towards him, heart full of joy.

ooc: Sorry, keyboard broke.

Kintalla heard a cry of joy that sort of resembled his name as he looked amongst the crowds of people. He turned to look in the direction it came from and was shocked to find Sadis running towards him. She shouldn't have been running. Sure, she missed him, but they would have gotten together quick enough regardless. He broke into a run towards her, not only to get to her quicker, but to make sure she wouldn't have another one of her attacks.

He made up his ground quickly and latched onto her as they got close enough. He checked to make sure she was breathing alright before embracing her closely and whispering in her ear.

"It's okay... I'm here."

((Oh, I'm sorry))

She knew she should have walked, she knew, but... she just couldn't wait another minute until he was back with her, it had been too long already. The joy swelled within her all the more, when she saw him run to greet her - she had been missed. She knew that she shouldn't think that she might not be missed, but it still plagued her at times. He was so fast...! So unshackled by weakness! It only made her love him and desire him all the more.

She made a move to pick up the pace, though she was forced to slow down as she nearly tripped and her breathing began getting shaky. But, oh! she didn't need to worry about that, only to hide it so that Kin didn't worry for her, she wanted him to be happy.

Before she could hold him, though, she was stopped in her tracks as he grabbed her and seemed to study her for a partial second. She looked up at him, with a worried expression - what was wrong? Did he... not want to hold her? She knew it was a terrible thing to think, she knew that, but it couldn't help but race through her mind. During that fraction of a second, she did her best to disguise her erratic, shallow breathing, though it almost hurt to force it to sound normal - and even then it sounded labored.

Suddenly, just as quickly as she had been stopped, she was swept away in his arms, in a deep embrace. She lovingly, longingly returned it, reaching beneath his jacket to touch him nearer his warm flesh. Her husband, her beloved, was home! She could feel the stress and the worry and the tension melt and loosen, to the point where she didn't even both hiding her breathing, or that, now, she felt so relaxed - as well as weakened - that she gently leaned on him for support, not wanting to let go.

When she heard his gentle voice, she sighed a shaky sigh as she whispered back, "I missed you."

She was safe.

Being away for those two weeks, Kintalla had forgot how much Sadis really loved him. He could feel it through her hands, then he thought that maybe she was scorching him on accident, but knew that he could simply feel her warmth as she drew nearer. He returned the embrace for a little while longer before finally holding her away and looking her in the eyes smiling.

"Let's go home."

ooc: Sorry for short post, bad keyboard.

((No problem, I didn't think you'd actually post until you got your keyboard. I appreciate this))

To see the happiness in his face... it made all of her worries disappear. It was okay, he still loved her, she could see it. The fact almost seemed to help her ragged breathing balance out a little as she took up a position next to him to begin the walk to their speeder, parked nearby. She hoped he didn't mind her clasping his hand as she kept pace with him.

"Yes... home," she replied, contentedly. "It gets so quiet at home, you know how hard it is for me to be alone," She said, that string of cheerfulness coming back to her voice. Though she had often been forced to be alone because of her illness didn't mean she liked it. She never had. Dead air was so heavy.

As they approached the speeder, she looked over at him and smiled, "You wanna drive or me?" she asked with a hint of her usual bounciness.

ooc: Ahh new smilies!:CWat:

"It's been a while since I've been in one. I'll drive."

Once they reached the speeder, Kintalla jumped in the driver seat and fired up the engines before strapping himself in and waiting for Sadis to get in beside him. He was back home and he loved being there, no more business to worry about for a while. He could simply go back home and relax with his wife, who he did not ever want to leave that long in the first place.

Sitting in the driver seat, he was able to soak up all the things that he had missed from his time away. The view, no matter where he was, always seemed to amaze him. The varrying terrain was a wonder to him and how a place so perfect existed made him think that his life was tailor made to suit his personality. Or perhaps, he was simply too easy going to notice any of life's problems.

"Okay!" She said, before moving to the other side of the car and jumping over the door, not bothering to open it. She began to bounce on the seat with anticipation and joy, just waiting for him to speed off.

"Can you go fast? I like it when you go fast," She asked, eagerly. She enjoyed revving along the smooth grassy plains of Tae'Sha, and especially when he made sudden turns - it was a thrill she always loved.

(No keyboard troubles, I just haven't been home for the weekend. I'm getting really bad for activity lately.)

"Of course."

Kintalla flashed her a smile, fired up the engine and let the fuel burn as the speeder went sailing into the fields of Tae'Sha, the wind brushing by forcing the grass out of the way. Taking designated roads was over rated, finding your way through nature was always much more fun. The house was not too far away, but Kintalla made sure they were going full out the whole time, just to make Sadis happy. After a short trip, they finally arrived, the wind completely messing up their hair.

((Oh, I'm sorry))

She bit her lip in excitement as they flew off, quicker than she would have ever dared by herself. And off the roads! It made it so much more fun. Laughing, she clung tight to Kin's arm to keep from flying out of the speeder. Of course, she could just hold onto the door, but, well... that was no fun. When they had finally arrived, she seemed even more hyper than before, laughing happily despite their somewhat bedraggled appearance - though she didn't really notice. Kin had that... that... fierce... wild... masculine look when he was slightly bedraggled. Then again, he usually did, but this was another form of it.

She was so happy! She couldn't contain it, having such a fun time ripping through the fields, next to the husband she hadn't seen in so long... she couldn't possibly be expected to hold it all in! Eyes full of joy, she turned to him and turned his face to hers before kissing him lovingly.

Kintalla was taken aback by her sudden passionate outburst, but he sure wasn't going to complain. He returned the kiss, then gently holding on to her chin he pulled back and looked lovingly into her eyes, taking in everything he had missed for a moments worth.

"Love you..."

He proceeded to reach over and pick her up out of her seat, cradling her in his arms and taking her out of the speeder, towards the front door of the house. He kicked open the front door and walked inside, setting her down playfully on the floor.

She was so happy to hear him say those words. Not that she doubted them, really... it was just so wonderful to have them repeated. However, this was overshadowed when she was suddenly swept away in his arms. She gasped in surprise before that breath turned to quiet laughter. Though she knew she wasn't heavy and that he wouldn't drop her, she threw her arms around his neck anyway, resting her head against his shoulder.

She loved this brief, tender moments... she just wished they came more often. She smiled at him happily when he set her down, keeping her arms around his neck. "Hey, ya, handsome," she said, putting on her sexy stranger tone, "ya want some help taking off your boots?" she said with a wink as she tickled his neck playfully.

Kintalla laughed along and leaned over, giving her a little peck as she played with his neck (lol rhyme). He sat down beside her, never looking away but breaking her hold around his neck.

"Whatever you want, darling."

He was both playing along when he said this and speaking seriously, as he felt she needed nothing more than a little love and care from him.

She smiled back at him as he ended their embrace. It was a calm, loving smile, one that simply said that she was glad he was home. She coughed a bit before she looked back up at him and asked, "How did it go?" as she began playing with his collar.

At his reply, she looked at him tenderly before she gently slid her arms around him and embraced him once more, kissing his neck.

"I love you so..." She whispered softly in his ear, before resting her cheek against the side of his face. "Honey? Honey, I..." she continued, before coughing a bit more, interrupting her chain of thought. "I, I'm sorry, Kin, I caught a little something while you were gone. I thought I'd gotten over it by now." She said, not wanting him to worry, "Our town's medic, Naefyr, took care of me, in fact, he's coming this afternoon to check on me. I'm fine, really," She said, trying to assure him.

"Oh, you know... Somebody steals money, goes to the galactic cell in Coruscant and will be there for a long time. I have to find another manager sometime soon, but that doesn't need to be taken care of just yet."

The coughing that she broke out with did alarm him a little bit, but when she assured him that she would be fine, he trusted her. He was glad she sought help on what was wrong with her, not wanting her to be hurt at all. However, he did not know this Naefyr character, nor had he ever heard of him before, so he was a little sceptical about whether he was a good doctor or not.

"I know a little something about health, you know that, right? Let me take a look."

"You're cute when you worry," She said with a giggle at his attention, though, she had to admit, she enjoyed it somewhat. "You don't remember Naefyr? He helps out our district's old healer - they both have healing abilities. After all, our district was getting too much for one healer," she then smiled a bit. "I forget you've had some experience in healing..." she said with a small, sheepish grin.

"Um... well, I guess I'll tell you what I told him. Ah... even when I don't get excited I've been having a bit more frequent breathing problems and coughing... I was sick in bed for several days... up until two days ago, about. Naefyr made sure I didn't starve. He seems nice. Um, he said he read up on my case while he was waiting for me to wake up to check up on me, he says that my problems might get more frequent. He said he wanted to talk to you. That's one of the reasons he's coming over this afternoon, I think," she paused.

"Honey... do you ever... wish your wife wasn't so... frail...?"

"Oh, no, no, no... no... no."

The constant no's were a stalling tactic to think up an actual answer to that question, and it was probably quite obvious. He wasn't lying when he said no, he just didn't know what to say at the time. Frailty was never really a problem.

"I wouldn't say you're frail... More like a delicate flower. One that I love to care for."
