Reunion ((Invite))

[Solus]

The smiled happily at his answer, a small, pleased smile. He'd phrased it so nicely - it made her feel warm. She gave him a quick kiss before she looked back into his eyes... and her gaze fell. She couldn't meet his eyes as she once more fiddled with his collar.

"I just... feel like I've gypped you. I make you worry so much, I, I'm sorry. I can't... rest like I should, I like doing things with you. I can't help but feel that you might have been happier... with somebody else. I - I'm not all that pretty or anything, I'm reckless and I... love you," she said, fading out into a whisper as she rested her head against his shoulder.

 

[Dexington]

"Don't be that way. I could never be any happier with anybody else and you shouldn't be thinking that I could be. I want you and I love you. Only you."

Kintalla began petting her hair along the grain as she rested on his shoulder, then used his other hand to point as he spoke. First to her heart and then to her head.

"You don't make me worry either. Because I know you here and here, and I know you are strong enough to get through whatever comes your way."

 

[Solus]

She looked up into his eyes for a minute at his loving comfort, a smile gently working across her face as she reached over to stroke the side of his head and neck. "What would I do without you, lover? I love you so..." she whispered.

"Y'know..." she said, drawing closer, "when I first started liking you I heard other people say you were nice and calm and low-key, not very passionate. No fun as a husband. Fortunately they didn't see the tiger I saw or they might have snatched you up first," she said with a light laugh before she began nuzzling his cheek.

 

[Dexington]

All the attention towards his neck got him a little ticklish and he flinched to the side, kind of squishing Sadis in the process in between his head and his neck. Of course he didn't mean to, it was her fault anyway, so all he could do was laugh along.

"If I'm a tiger, what does that make you for snatching me up, hmm? Not many things can take down a tiger!"

 

[Solus]

She giggled happily. "I guess that makes me a tiger tamer. There are such things, aren't there?" She asked happily before pulling back to look up into his eyes before looking down, nervously.

"Honey... I have something I want to ask you," she said, slowly.

 

[Dexington]

Kintalla immediately got a bad feeling in his stomach. Normally when women said something along that lines, it did not lead to anything good, especially when the woman was just giddy and upbeat, then stopped suddenly to be all serious and nervous. Things were not adding up in his mind, but he couldn't let that show for Sadis' sake.

"Anything, shoot."

 

[Solus]

"Love," she began, before taking a breath, she'd rehearsed this, she didn't know why it all was escaping her mind. "We haven't really ever brought this up, and I don't know... I mean... when do you..." she hesitated, just as her sentence was choked mid-way through by a beeping noise. "Oh, your lunch!" she said, all worries forgotten as a second later she was in the kitchen checking this, stirring that, making sure the meat was done right. It was always the choice cuts that were hard to get just right.

The next second she was at their small dining table - after all, it only needed to seat two, setting the places. "What do you want to drink?" She shouted from her work as she was back in the kitchen again, fetching the glasses.

 

[Dexington]

Well that was no good. He was worried before, but now he was anxious. Being cut off by a damn beeping meal when he thought there was going to be a deeply personal question coming up got him more than a little disappointed. And Sadis seemed to have forgotten completely what she was going to ask, going on to make the meal in the kitchen.

"Surprise me. Something strong, please."

 

[Solus]

"Ooo, being dangerous this early, are we, babe?" She said with a chuckle as she finished setting the table. Lunch still had a few minutes left - fortunately nothing needed constant stirring. As she finished, she absently ran into Kin.

"Lunch will be ready in a second..." she said before noticing something in his eyes, it disturbed her. "Honey, what's... oh," she said, suddenly remembering, becoming once more solemn. "Um," She said as she once more tried to remember just how she wanted it phrased. She couldn't remember, but she had to go on anyway. She grasped his hand for support.

"Love, I... we haven't said anything about it... and I know my... my health may figure into it kinda, I hope not. I just, I was wondering. When do you want..." She said, taking a breath, "when do you want... us to... to try for a baby?"
