The Krakana seemed attracted to the large flashing glow stick and chose to take aim at the Padawan. It circled wide of the pair, its talons lashing out at any small fish which got into range of the hulking beast. Finally like a flash the beast twisted its scaly body and charged towards the Nautolan, its maw was open wide ready to devour the Jedi whole. But its aim was off, slicing through the water just to the right of Jedi.

Its speed was to great for the Mon Calamari either he tried to jab at it with the silver trident he held in one hand but his blow was amiss only striking water as the Karkana cruised by.

“Watch your six! This sucker is fast…” Toa said through gritted teeth. Her bleeding had slowed but the pain still throbbed around her side. “Try doing what you just did again but this time go for it’s neck.” Toa whirled around to face the Krakana and stayed on guard. She watched it for a moment and then focused on the sea monster through the Force, doing her best to concentrate around Krakana. She then began slowing it down- hopefully enough for Orisha to get a clear shot at the monsters throat.

This encounter proved to be as exciting as it was tough for the Padawan and she was going to do her best to make it up to Orisha by defeating the Krakana as a team. Yes, Toa did need to learn to shut her trap every now and then, but she never meant to hurt anyone or offend anyone directly- she sees it more as teasing than as an insult. But for right now, she’d have to try and focus more on combat than on her quips.

The purple skinned Mon Calamari was still displeased with the cocky Jedi Padawan, but he knew that getting the kill on the Krakana would bring honour to him and his family. So he gritted his teeth as she ordered him about, gripping his silver coloured trident in his right hand, he waited for the Krakana to come back around.

The beast continued to circle them, hunting its prey, stalking it. Then again without any telling signal dived in towards the pair, this time however he was slowed by The Force coming from the Jedi Padawan. Though the beasts great weight meant that it was little in the grand scheme of things, it was enough for Orisha to aim true.

The trident plunged down, gouging into the neck of the great creature, it thrashed in pain causing Orisha to loose grip of the weapon still imbedded in its neck as it swam off. Blood poured from its new wound, its movements were now more erratic the talons lashing each and everyway as it moved.

“Great job! Get ready for a counter attack.” Toa readied herder as well and focused on the Krakana. She waited for it to dart around her to where she cut at the beast where it was already wounded. Toa wasn’t surprised that Orisha was a good fighter. She admired it- someone who was both good with words and a blade. She wanted to be able to do that some day. Be just as good a warrior as she could be a speaker.

But, Toa leaned more to the warrior aspect of being a Jedi. She was adventurous and mischievous and many other things taboo for the Jedi Order. There were days where the Padawan wanted to run away- which she did -but she always came back to Yavin. Today, she was going to kill this beast and- wait a minute…Was that the right thing to do? Was Toa supposed to end the beast or relocate it?

“Hold off on attacking for a bit- only use defensive tactics. I…I think we shouldn’t have hurt her.”

"What are you on about you fool. This thing has killed a dozen of our people and will kill both of us unless we kill it now." Orisha shouted across at her. As he finished the Krakana buzzed through, its talons lashing out at both the Mon Calamari as well as the Jedi Padawan.

Orisha was able to use his trident to block the vicious instrument, but the blow sent him spinning off to one side. The quick movements disorientated him enough to leave him open to an attack. Rounding upon the pair the Krakana noticed its prey was now weak and ready to be finished off, with a glint from its one remaining eye it charged forward its tail propelling it at lightning speeds, its maw open ready to devour the Mon Calamari.

Toa saw the beast charge and so she used the force to give herself a boost in the water. Enough so that she was now in between Orisha and the Krakana. She held her lightsaber in front of her and prepared to cut down on the beast’s head as it charged at her and Orisha.

Maybe he was right- he was unnecessarily a jerk about it -but he was probably right. She be doing everyone a favor by getting rid of the monster. But maybe, if she had more time, she would’ve found a way to preserve the creature somewhere where it wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Toa prepared for impact, trusting in her vigorous training in Soresu to come through and help her win this fight.

The beast was to far gone to dodge the the plasma beam now stuck between him and his pray, but without any other option it charged forward with more ferocity than before. It got a tooth into the Nautolan Jedi before the bright blue blade plunged deep through his skull into the brainstem beyond. The beast died instantly, the energy of the attack pushing both the Jedi and itself for a few more meters before finally coming to a stop.

Orisha would swim over to the pair his trident poking the creature to make sure it was alive before commenting. "Good strike, we should get back to father and Master Yvain. A few were watching they will deal with the carcass." He pointed over to few Mon Calamari who were making there way over to the pair.

Toa winced when she felt the tooth snag at her shoulder, which ended up in more blood pooling from her person, but she did her best to shake it off and stay strong. She rolled her injured shoulder to find she could still move it alright, it just brought more pain and blood.

She swam with Orisha and sighed. “Hey, I owe you an apology. For before. I didn’t mean what I said and I should Thrace said it. You’re a good guy, Orisha. These people are very blessed to have you as a leader.” She smiled a friendly smile to the Mon Calamari and holstered her lightsaber. “Did you see that though? You went all Commando on that thing and then it wanted more so I jumped in after you beat the tar out of it and- Gal, you’re a way better fighter than I had imagined.” She teased and nudged Orisha on the shoulder playfully.

Yvain was talking with Olorun when the Padawan and Orisha passed back through the barrier into the small air pocketed room. The grin on the Mon Calamari's face gave both of the older pair all they needed to know in terms of what went down with the Krakana. "Well done young ones." Olorun was the first to greet the pair, patting his son on the shoulder as the younger Mon Calamari spat out what had happened since the pair left.

Yvain pattered up to the Padawan finally drying off from their swim down. "Well done young one, seems your saber is sharper than your tongue." He said with a cheeky smile. "So I assume Olorun, Orisha we have your support?" "Of course Master Jedi, we will be at your call when you need." "I hope that need never comes, but I suspect it will be soon."
