"I usually only look at them," Emilia answered. It wasn't a yes or no. It was just, she was more of an observer and wasn't sure how much she'd enjoy actually taking part in the festivities.

Right when Tiberius asked if she was ready, Emilia slipped on her gray robe. Though, she did not bother pulling up the hood. Her hair was still up in a tight bun, so the clear sight of her ears gave away her race more than usual, but it was only important to obfuscate her white robes for now.

"Yeah," she answered casually, looking back at the other Jedi with a nod. The small Jedi followed Tiberius out into the hallway, catching up to his side and keeping pace. "That bakery's owner poisoned someone recently, I'd rather to eat something on the upper levels," she explained, equally as casually. Even if she wasn't usually stoic, very little shocked Emilia anymore.

Instead of taking the elevator, Emilia walked right past it. "I prefer the stairwell."

Plus the stairwell had a side exist, which she was use to taking, especially if they didn't have cameras. Just as she was stepping outside however, something skittered across her boot before she could look down. Emilia stopped right away, possibly bumping into Tiberius if he didn't notice her abrupt movement. She watched the little creature while it squeezed past the railing of a bottom floor hotel room. It didn't even look back as it snuck into the hotel room through the cracked open door.

"Maybe we should sleep in your ship tonight..." Emilia mumbled.

Usually” Tiberius emphasized Emilia’s own word as she caught up with him in the hallway. “That mean you do partake in festivities from time to time.” He turned to look at the Sephi as they walked. “All work and no play makes Emilia a dull girl.” He quoted a proverb trying to convince the Sephi that she didn’t have to be serious all the time. Besides, if they were going to be hanging out on this planet for a few days they might as well have some fun

Emilia went on to inform Tiberius of the Bakery he wanted to go to. He nodded his head disappointedly saying “Good to know.” The last thing Tiberius wanted was to die from a poisoned pastry. About this time they reached the elevator which the Sephi walked on passed. Tiberius followed her to the stairwell but bumped into Emilia when she stopped abruptly. “Oh, sorry.” He said placing his hands on her shoulders to steady them both and keep them from toppling over. He tried to see why they stopped. A small creature was scurrying about and disappeared into the hotel.

“My ship?” Tiberius asked as the pair made their way outside. He wore a confused look on his face. “I don’t have a ship.” It was true, Tiberius hadn’t owned a ship in his entire life. Before his death, Tiberius father had planned to move his family to Corellia. Maybe there Tiberius would have become a great pilot with his own ship. Nowadays, though, Tiberius used public transportation or hitched a ride with a fellow Jedi. Sure it’d be cool to own his own ship, but it had never been top on his list of priorities.

“We can get a place on one of the upper levels.” He continued his thought. “It’d probably be safer up their anyways.” Tiberius was thinking that their might still be some remnants of the assassins who would want revenge. Placing a little distance between themselves and the underworld might not be a bad idea.

"I am not dull," Emilia said with a grunt. She wasn't dull... right? Well, she was willing to try to prove it, true or not. So she gave in with, "Fine, we'll go to the fair."

When Tiberius bumped into her he put his hands on her shoulders. It caused Emilia to look up at him and blink a few times. She was reminded that she wasn't use to being so close to someone, not this often. Though it was odd for her, for some reason she didn't feel threatened or concerned and simply continued to walk after.

No ship either?

That surprise her, but she answered with a simple, "Oh." Well, she supposed it made sense that she wasn't the only Jedi without a ship. Amassing large amounts of credits probably weren't the average Jedi's focus. At least she had some credits, though, enough for a few days in a better hotel. "Lets do that. I'm not interested in getting bit by something in the middle of the night," she said, referring to the little creature they'd just saw.

It didn't take many strides to make it onto the regular street, even though the young sephi wasn't walking at her regular speed. Thinking about speed, she spotted rental speeders not too far ahead. And, of course, without asking she went straight for them, handing enough credits over to the droid for two speeders.

Emilia hopped on one of the speeders, a red-painted one. When she looked back there was a very, very subtle hint of playfulness in her look. "Last one to the top floor pays for the day," she announced, assuming Tiberius would accept.

With that, the small sephi took her goggles from sempidal off her belt, put them on and sped off with the bike at high speed. Wind whipped across her body, and she yanked her bike to the side quickly, barely missing a collusion with an alien simply out on a walk. The alien let out a spooked yipe and his clothing moved in the wind of the passing bike.

No, of course Emilia wasn’t dull, at least Tiberius wasn’t going to outright say it to her. It was more of a warning more than anything. Regardless, it seemed like Tiberius had one this argument. They would be going to the fair. He wore a smug look of triumph on his face. Of course, Emilia probably couldn’t see it as they had to walk single file through the door to get out of the hotel building.

Although not too much shorted than Tiberius, only about six inches, the Sephi Managed to look up at Tiberius as they collided. Outwardly, however, Emilia seemed relatively unphased and the two continued walking out to the main thoroughfare. The streets were bustling with pedestrians and various vehicles flew above their heads.

The two agreed to stay somewhere on the upper levels tonight. It would probably be a little fancier than where they had stayed the night before, which might be nice. Maybe Tiberius would actually get to sleep in a bed tonight. Not that he minded giving up the bed to Emilia, but the chair he had to settle for wasn’t exactly the most comfortable place he had ever slept.

They passed by the poisoned bakery shop that Tiberius had wanted to try, but now that he knew it was a health hazard the pair continued on by. Emilia led them to a speeder rental shop where she rented two speeders for them. The sephi was quick to jump on the red speed and challenged Tiberius to a race. As Emilia turned to address Tiberius the knight caught a hint of something in her tone. Was it playfulness? It was hard to tell. Had Emilia started to let her guard down around Tiberius?

The knight didn’t have much time to respond before his companion sped off, almost running over a poor pedestrian. Tiberius ran over to the blue speeder. He strapped on his own pair of goggles that matched Emilia’s and took off. “I think that’s cheating.” Tiberius spoke and his coms picked it up and transmitted it to Emilia. He was referencing the head start that the woman had got.

The head start didn’t end up giving Emilia much of an advantage though. Tiberius drove the speeder wide open and quickly over took Emilia. “I hope you brought enough credits to cover today.” Tiberius said as he passed the red speeder.

Emilia heard Tiberius mention cheating. It didn't bother her one bit, because she rarely followed the rules. Which, well, made the other Jedi's continued presence around her a little more interesting. Maybe it was finally sinking in that he may not be as different from her as she thought at first.

Then he took the lead. Emilia frowned slightly, but kept going, weaving around the traffic to try to catch up. She was usually relatively cool-headed in competition and battle. In battle, she found a lot of peace by laser-focusing on combat and pushing aside other emotions like fear, even though she understood that she might die. But then again, if she died she would return to the Force and be at peace there.

Her cherry red speeder picked up speed until she had to sharply stop when a huge truck sped past it. It only allowed Tiberius to get further ahead. Emilia grunted. When the truck past, even though she knew she was going to lose, the small Jedi kicked the speed up full again and sped through all the traffic.

By the time she made it to the top, however, Tiberius was already there. Emilia parked her bike and pulled up her goggles. When she got off she simply walked past Tiberius with a grunt. She wasn't that sore about losing, he'd just gotten lucky, that's all. That's what she told herself.

Instead of mentioning anything about losing, Emilia pointed at a stand near them, "They make good breakfast burritos."

For a while the two Jedi were neck and neck on their respective red and blue speeders, but eventually Tiberius pulled ahead and was able to maintain the lead. He reached the top floor he removed his goggles and hopped off the blue speeder, leaning against it while he waited for Emilia to arrive. He ran his fingers through his hair so that it sat just right atop his head. Wind from the speeder had disheveled his normally well kempt hair.

The small Sephi pulled up and parked her speeder. “What took you so long?” Tiberius asked with the smug look of victory on his face. He was met by a grunt from the white haired woman as she passed him by. It was hard to tell if the woman was a sore loser, or if this was just part of her normal personality. Tiberius assumed it was the latter and pushed himself off his speeder to follow after Emilia.

The Sephi pointed out a food stand that was nearby and mentioned that they had good breakfast burritos. “I mean, if you’re paying that sounds good.” Tiberius walked over to the Stand to order himself a delicious breakfast burrito. On his way over though he remembered what Emilia had said about the bakery they had passed on the lower levels. What did Emilia know about this food stand? What the proprietor of this establishment a poisoner as well? Was Emilia trying to poison Tiberius for the flawless victory he had just pulled off? Nah, what a ridiculous thought… Right?

Tiberius cast a glance at Emilia imagining the scenario where he was lay laying on the ground with a poisoned breakfast burrito lying beside him as Emilia towered over him laughing maniacally after getting revenge for her loss. The knight snapped back to reality and turned his attention to the alien manning the stand and placed his order. “I’ll have a breakfast burrito, please.” *Sans poison* He said to himself internally. He stepped to the side to allow Emilia to place her order.

Tiberius looked around as he waited on Emilia to order, taking in the sights and sounds around them. He didn’t spend much time on Coruscant. He preferred the open plains of Dantooine, or the dense forests of Yavin to the cramped city scape of the ecumenopolis.

When their food was ready Tiberius took his burrito and pulled back the wrapper. "So this food stand guy." Tiberius began as he looked at his burrito. "He hasn't poisoned anyone, has he?" He took a bite of the burrito and began to chew. The knight was still alive, so he must be safe. Emilia had been right, it was pretty good.

Of course she was paying. Though, it wasn't like the credits were hers really. Using her slicing skills, she'd attempted to drain the account of an imperial, and although she hadn't gotten everything she got a decent amount. Enough to live off for the time being, and yes, enough to lose a few bets.

"A breakfast burrito for myself too," she said to the male Chagrian. Carelessly she tossed the man enough credits to cover the food, and a tip. She'd spent most of her life protecting people like this man. Just, the commonfolk. The ones who struggled day to day to make ends meet and survive with so much crime and war. So, to tip him was only natural for her.

Tiberius asked if the Chagrian had recently poisoned anyone, and Emilia looked back at the other Jedi. She wanted to answer no, but she felt that little spark of playfulness inside of her, "Not to my knowledge," the small sephi answered, "But you should take the first bite just in case," she added deadpan. Why would she lead him to a stand that with potentially poisoned food anyway?

Emilia accepted her breakfast burrito and continued walking forward. The fair wasn't too far away, and its lights and some of its rides could be seen in the distance. Her purple gaze lingered on it, and she took a bite of her breakfast as it did. Once she swallowed the bite she spoke again, "So did the Force also tell you to stick around and go to the fair with me?" she asked, knowing that the Force wasn't actually that specific. Really, she was probing the man's thoughts to understand him more.

The pair, having received their food, began to walk away from the food stand. Tiberius took the first bite of his food. He chewed and swallowed. “I’m still here. Guess he’s not a poisoner today, but you should probably try yours just to make sure.” The knight said as he took another bite. “You were right, these are pretty good.”

Tiberius began to slowly walk as he ate his food. He made his way to a bench where he sat to enjoy his meal. As he sat, he could make out the Fair in the distance. He could see the bright, colorful lights, and the top of a Farris wheel could be seen sticking out from behind a building that obscured most of the large circular ride.

“Uh,” Tiberius began to answer Emilia’s question about why he wanted to go to the fair with her. He didn’t know how to answer at first. Everyone knew that the Force wasn’t that specific, but Emilia sometimes had ideas that differed from everyone. “What if it did?” He asked taking another bite. He was curious what he response might be, but he quickly followed up with, “No, it wasn’t the Force. It was mostly just me wanting to have some fun.” He paused to take another bite. After swallowing he continued. “I figured if we’re going to be hanging out on this planet for a few days we might as well enjoy ourselves.”

He finished the burrito and crumpled up the wrapper that it was originally in. He tossed it towards the trashcan that was a few meters away. He used the force to aid his shot to get it in the can. He stood up and turned to the Sephi. “Do you want to walk, or should we take the speeders?” he asked. He assumed the fair would be their next stop, but it was possible that Emilia would come up with something else she wanted to do first, like maybe take down a rancor, or thwart an assassination attempt, or maybe something less dramatic.

Just for fun? Emilia felt, maybe unwillingly, her defenses fall a little bit more. It was hard to ignore the innocence in just wanting to encourage her—and come along to a fair—to enjoy the few days off. It was... just so hard for her to trust anyone, but this man had made it equally as hard to keep her walls up. At least, up so high.

Emilia ate her breakfast burrito while stopped in front of Tiberius. She didn't answer his, "what if he did", simply because she didn't care to go down that line of thought. The Force, the Light Side, the things she sensed, they were rarely clear. Though her trust in the Light Side was iron-clad, she could not say she had the ability to wholly understand the Force.

The small sephi's eyes lowered when Tiberius gave her his answer. And she remained quiet until he asked his own question, "I want to walk," she answered. With that, Emilia rolled up the paper from her breakfast burrito in her hands and put it in a recycling bin. Then she continued towards the fair.

"By the way, you aren't allowed to make fun of me at the fair," Emilia said bluntly. "I've never actually been to one and I don't know what you're suppose to do there."

Tiberius nodded and said “Let’s go then.” in response to Emilia wanting to walk. He began to walk down the street beside Emilia. She mentioned that Tiberius was not allowed to make fun of her. At first the knight looked at his fellow jedi with a little confusion. Why wasn’t he allowed to make fun of her? Had he made fun of her in the past?

The Sephi continued and stated that she had never been to a fair. Tiberius eyebrows raised in surprise. “You’ve never been to a fair?!” He asked with surprise in his voice. “Well you’re in for a treat then.” He set his gaze back towards the fair. “There’s all sorts of stuff to do. Games, rides, food. Stick with me and I’ll teach you everything you need to know, my young padawan.” He said this last part as though he was playing the part of a wise, old jedi master.

The knight still couldn’t believe that the Sephi had never been to a fair. Had she ever had a day of fun in her life? Tiberius contemplated what her life must have been like if she was always “working.” Her master must have been some kind of slave driver. “So, what do you normally do for fun?” Tiberius asked. He was truly curious. “You do have fun, right?”

Emilia was shaping up to be an interesting character. Tiberius felt that maybe the Sephi was starting to let her walls down, and he was now able to start to peel back the layers of who she was and get to know her better. Like last night for instance, the woman revealed that she enjoyed pod racing. Tiberius wanted to get to know who Emilia really was, because he was starting to realize that underneath her hard, stoic exterior there was, at least a little, personality in there.

She kept walking towards the fair, staring off into the distance at some of the rides as Tiberius expressed his surprise. He offered to guide her around the fair, though Emilia had her own thoughts, "I want to go on the Ferris wheel," she said, pointing towards it for a moment. That was what she stared at the longest when she was a child and knew the name of.

The crowd was thickening as the pair of Jedi approached the fair gates. "My work provides me all I need," she answered the other Jedi when he asked what she did for fun. "And I suppose a casino is worth visiting here and there when I need extra credits." Her enjoyment of gambling definitely didn't have anything to do with the fact she was Force Sensitive. Nope. Okay, so she cheated sometimes when she needed credits. Sometimes, not all the time, usually.

"What do you do for fun besides follow strange Jedi's to fairs?" she asked, briefly looking back at the Jedi before going through the stall and paying for their ticket. They gave her the stamp on her hand and she walked through the gate, stopping before she got very far. "Is that a shooting game?" she asked, staring at a stall in the distance. Beside it was a small group of people, one of them eating a big pink ball of cotton candy. Emilia wondered if they deep-fried cotton candy.

“That can be arranged.” Tiberius stated in response to Emilia request to go on the Farris wheel. He looked up at the farris wheel as they got closer to the fair. The lights on the ride went round and round as the ride moved. There was the faint sound of music that was characteristic of a fair that steadily grew louder as they drew nearer to the festivities.

Emilia’s answer to Tiberius question of what she did for fun concretized the knights thought that the Sephi in fact did not have any fun. *Work provides all you need?* Tiberius thought to himself. Maybe this was one of those strange teachings that her old master had taught her. Tiberius nodded as he listened to her even if he did find her answers to be strange.

She did mention that she enjoyed going to the occasional casino, which started to explain why she was so quick to make bets with Tiberius. Did she maybe have a gambling addiction and she was in denial about it? “I think there might be one or two casinos around here if you want to hit them up later.” The human shot a knowing glance at the Sephi. Tiberius was well aware of the advantage force users had when going to such establishments.

Tiberius gave a short chuckle when the sephi turned the question back on him. “I think it’s you who have followed me here.” He stated, jokingly, but also believing it to be somewhat true. “I mean, I’m the one who convinced you to come here and if I remember correctly you arrived on the upper level after I was already here.” There was a brief pause before Tiberius went on to actually answer the question. "I like to play music. My father taught me how to play the lute." To be honest Tiberius didn't have a whole lot of things that he did for fun

They passed through the gate and were now officially at the fair. Tiberius received a stamp that matched the one Emilia got. They were now in the thick of it. There was various musics coming from the different rides all competing to be heard by the fair attendees to entice them to ride the rides. There were smells of the unique fair foods that wafted to Tiberius nostrils that made him salivate. The midway was full of various games with prizes with people manning the stalls calling to the fair goers to come play their games.

Almost immediately, Emilia spotted one of the shooting games. “Looks like it.” Tiberius said as he began to walk in the direction of the game the sephi pointed out. “C’mon.” As the knight neared the game he was spotted by the Carny manning the stall. “Step right up! You look like you could bull’s-eye womp rat, my Friend. Care to try your hand and win a prize for your little girlfriend?” Tiberius didn’t answer the Carny. Instead he examined the sign that explained the prize tiers that read:

1-5 = no prize
6-10 = small prize
11-15 = medium prize
16-19 = large prize
20 = grand prize

Tiberius stepped up to the toy blaster that was used for the game. “Looks like we have a contender.” The carny announced loudly “Any other takers?” There was a loud buzzing noise and the targets began to move around. Tiberius began shooting. It was harder than it looked. There was another buzzer and the time was up. Tiberius had hit 10 out of the 20 targets. The carny reached up and pulled down a small stuffed bantha and handed it to Tiberius. “Not bad kid. Better luck next time though.”

The small Jedi felt herself perk up a bit at the suggestion of going to a casino, even though she caught the look Tiberius sent her way. Alright, so it was pretty obvious that Force Users could cheat while gambling. Either way, the idea of going did make her feel a little excited.

Though she grunted when he suggested that she'd followed him to the fair. He was just rubbing in that he won the race!

Maybe in some way he was correct but... well, Emilia decided not to muddy up everything with his antics. Her purple eyes settled on him playing the game at the stand. Of course, when man behind the stand called her Tiberius' "little girlfriend" Emilia blinked a few times. She was not little! Well, maybe not compared to some people. Like, the smaller aliens.

Still she watched Tiberius play the game, at least until he was being handed a bantha stuffy. Her purple gaze settled on the stuffy for a period before a rumble and a beep from her datapad caught her attention. The feeling and sound prompted her to grab the device from her belt out of curiosity, just in case it was something important.

But... when she read the message on it, a sinking feeling settled in her stomach.

It was disappointment.

Emilia knew, especially as a Jedi, that she should not allow herself to dwell on the feeling. Not on one that was so strong. It was just that... well, she was use to dealing with these types of emotions alone. When she looked up at Tiberius for a heartbeat, who was probably expecting her to play the game after him, she knew she'd lost interest in the environment.

"I'm going on the Ferris wheel," she said, probably out of place, but she didn't care. Part of her hoped the Jedi would shrug off her shift in mood and go away. She turned and walked towards the direction of the ride she wanted to go on, putting away her datapad.

After receiving his prize Tiberius turned around to see Emilia staring at the little bantha. He assumed that she would want to try her hand at shooting, but instead she pulled out her datapad and took a look at it. There was a change in the sephi’s demeanor and she turned and began walking away telling Tiberius she was going to the Farris wheel.

Tiberius stood in place for a moment wondering what causes the abrupt change in mood. After a moment he took a few hurried steps to catch up with the small sephi. He reached out and grabbed her hand as he came up next to her and began keeping pace with her strides. “What’s wrong?” He asked relinquishing his grip on her small hand. Surely he hadn't said anything to upset her, right?

He looked over at the small sephi as they walked and he wait for an answer. Emilia’s hair was still pulled up into a bun exposing her pointed ears that were characteristic of her race. This was really the first time the knight had noticed how different they were from his own rounded ears.

They were nearing the Farris wheel now. The ride towered over the pair of jedi. The massive wheel spun round and round. There was music coming from the ride but it was hard to make it out over the general din of amusement coming from the surround rides and stalls. There didn’t seem to be much of a line. They would be able to walk right on.

She suddenly felt Tiberius' hand on hers. It made her purple gaze look down as his fingers curled around hers. Though her expression was listless when it lowered, she slowed down so the man could catch up, and instead of yanking her hand from his she let his fall away.

He'd followed her again. He kept following her. People didn't do that. Well, they followed her commands, but that wasn't the same as this, and she couldn't really articulate why.

But Emilia looked away from Tiberius as a thought occurred to her. What would it hurt to answer? "Something I've been working on fell through," she said, tightening her bottom jaw in an attempt to stop the frown on her face from deepening.

Every time a plot she poured time and effort into failed, lives were potentially lost. Because she didn't get to the point where she could save them. Them, and their families that suffered because of the loss.

Their steps brought them closer and closer to the Ferris wheel. Emilia let herself take in all the sounds and sights for a handful of heartbeats while they walked. All the happy youthful faces. The parents. The laughter. The life here.

One of the young men running the Ferris Wheel gestured flippantly at the pair of Jedi, signaling they could get on the ride. Emilia's soft steps on the metal of the ride clinked until she got up to the seat. The chair swung ever so slightly when she grabbed onto one of the chains holding it up, which made her hesitate for some reason.

Tiberius didn't come into her view again until she turned around and took a seat. She watched him, allowing her eyes to follow him onto the ride. She noticed how tall he was for once. It seemed to help his athletic frame stick out, though she looked away after to take in the view around again. "But I understand failing comes part and parcel with the work I do. I'll get over it."

The two Jedi walked side by side. As Emilia began to answer Tiberius nodded to indicate that he was listening to her. It was clear that the sephi was upset about this turn of events. She clearly worked hard to accomplish her goals. Tiberius thought about how much easier her life would be if she would join up with the rest of the jedi. She wouldn’t have to work alone, and others could work on coordinating missions. At least that’s what Tiberius’ experience had been. However, He did not mention this thought to the sephi. He knew that she was stubborn and had already mentioned that she had no plans to join up with the rest of the order.

They arrived at the Ferris wheel. The young man waved them onto the ride. Emilia was the first to step into the gondola. Tiberius followed after her, which seemed like it was starting to be a habit of his, and he took his seat next to the small sephi. Emilia now finished her thought from earlier. “I know that it can be frustrating when things don’t work out, but I’m sure you did the best you could. Maybe something else will come up.” He tried to comfort the sephi with his words.

Almost as soon as he finished speaking the ride started to move. It was slow at first, but quickly sped up to a comfortable velocity. There was a light breeze caused by the movement of the farris wheel that blew in Tiberius face, blowing his hair back slightly. The view from the top of the ride was magnificent. The city sky like was illuminated by the many lights that seemed to never go out. The ride also provided an excellent view of the rest of the fair.

After making a couple revolutions the ride came to a stop with Tiberius and Emilia at the top. Now that the pair was suspended in the air, Tiberius started to realize how little room there was in this contraption they were sitting in. He became aware that there was basically no room between them. Their shoulders had been pressed together. However, he did not mention this realization to Emilia. Instead he wondered aloud why they had stopped. “Must be letting more people on”

Tiberius' answer made Emilia gaze into the distance. There was a softness to his voice, even with the deep tone. He was trying to comfort her again. For some reason, it made Emilia realize how much he'd done for her, especially all the small things. She hadn't done as much for him as he had done for her, and she wasn't certain how she felt about that.

"You know," Emilia started, pausing for a moment. The platinum haired sephi turned to look at the man. She had to tilt her head up somewhat because the pair of Jedi were pressed against one another, and Tiberius was obviously much taller than her. "I hope you aren't this kind to everyone," she finally said.

Emilia briefly made eye contact with him, "People take advantage of you when you're too kind," she said, which was a fact. He probably knew it already but Emilia wasn't so sure.

The ride jerked when it came to an abrupt stop. The pair of Jedi ended up at the top of the Ferris Wheel. And the view? Well, even Emilia could not deny how beautiful it was. All the lights blurred together from a distance. They almost appeared like wondrously bright brush strokes, carefully placed on a canvas to depict an amusement park. It was almost magical. And the collage of lights reflected in her purple eyes while she stared at it.

Tiberius' voice called her attention back to him. And Emilia, well, she didn't answer but when she looked back at him she smiled, very softly for a moment. It was hard, even for her, not to enjoy the beautiful distraction, for at least the moment. "Where are we going next?" she asked with a slight tip of her head.

Tiberius listened to the sephi speak. He smiled at her. “Don’t worry.” He began and placed a hand on top of Emilia’s. “I’m only nice to people I like.” He gave her a playful wink. He was well aware that people took advantage to people who were too nice. That wasn’t a problem that Tiberius had, or at least he didn’t think it was a problem. Tiberius was a friendly individual, but he knew when to put on his “mean face.” There was something about Emilia, though, that made Tiberius want to be extra nice.

As they came to a stop Tiberius turned his attention back to Emilia as she surveyed the fair below. He continued to look at her. The bright lights from the festivities reflected in her purple eyes. The knight began wondering why he felt the things he did about her. He had felt similar feeling before, but he didn’t understand why he felt them for Emilia. She hadn’t always been the nicest to Tiberius and often tried to run him off. Could it actually be the force pulling them together?

Tiberius came back from his pondering state and surveyed the landscape below. The sephi asked where they should go next. Tiberius scanned the various option down below. “I guess that depends on what you feel like doing.” The knight stated. “We could go on the carousal if you want to continue going in circles.” He pointed at the ride. “Or…” He paused as he looked around some more. “There’s also the fun house over there, or we could go get a funnel cake.” Fairs had unique foods that you couldn’t get anywhere else and funnel cake was one of those foods. Although, they had just eaten not too long ago so maybe that would be a better option for later. There was a sudden jerk and the farris wheel began to move again.

Emilia looked down when she felt Tiberius' hand on hers again. It was warm, and she didn't feel the need to pull away, for some reason. When she looked up he winked at her, and Emilia turned her head slightly to give him a little side look, though she couldn't help but blush slightly. She wasn't exactly use to people liking her.

"You certainly pick odd people to like," Emilia answered with a raise of her chin, purposefully looking away from Tiberius. "Maybe you have poor taste," she added, though she couldn't help but smile again slightly.

It had to be the Force that kept him sticking around her. Though, if it was, Emilia felt a pull towards Tiberius too. She was still wary about it, but it was there, and he'd done nothing but show kindness towards her.

When he pointed at the carousal the small sephi's eyes followed. She tipped her head slightly at the sight of the ride and let herself think about the options he gave.

"Lets get a funnel cake then go to the fun house,"
she decided with a nod. "Whatever the fun house is." She had no idea what a funnel cake or fun house was, they just sounded more interesting than the other ride.

The Ferris Wheel finally brought them back to the ground, and Emilia got off the ride. When she got away from the crowd that had gathered around it, the small sephi stopped and looked back at Tiberius. She wasn't use to letting someone else guide her, but, she felt a little more relaxed than usual even after the bad news.

“I never claimed to have good taste.” Tiberius states plainly, but with a slight smile. They made a full revolution. As they continued traveling round and round Emilia informed Tiberius that she wanted funnel cake and then to go to the fun house. “Sound good.” The knight stated. Shortly after they finished their conversation the ride came to a halt. The door opened and they two Jedi exited the ride.

Emilia exited first and hurried on ahead. Tiberius exited second and made his way to catch up with the sephi who had stopped to wait for him. As he approached her he noticed how the midway lights illuminated her lithe form. Her platinum hair almost perfectly matched her signature white robes that she almost always wore. The color of her purple eyes were enhanced and were even more vibrant than they usually were.

Tiberius could tell that Emilia was softening up. It was evident in her tone and in her actions. Sure there was still that hard outer shell, and Tiberius wasn’t sure that that would ever go away, but he was liking the person that he was meeting who lived beneath the shell. “Sorry, didn’t mean to slow you down.” He said jokingly once he caught up to Emilia. He walked passed the sephi, assuming that she would turn and continue to walk with him.

The pair navigated through the crowds and after a short trek found themselves in front of the funnel cake stall. There was a little bit of a line and the jedi took his place, waiting for the fried deliciousness that awaited them. “So you’ve never been to a fair. I assume it’s safe to say that you’ve never had funnel cake?” He asked the sephi as they slowly inched their way forward.
