Ze'kyre was an observer, but at the same time an active participant, allowing his consciousness to link with Firion's in a way so they could share sensory data through telepathy. The sounds were sharper and more organic in Firion's ear than Ze'kyre would ever hope to hear in all of his lifetime, and using his own meditative focus, he allowed Firion's perception to travel wider. Not only were the birds heard, but there heartbeats were felt. The single-minded societies of ants that worked under their feet. The other insects that crawled through the trees. Listen for more than the sound, young Firion, and you will feel all of the vibration. That is true awareness. To see another being was ultimately a means to an end. So was verbal communication. The Universe relied on a true connection, a remembrance of the unity all life was born from, and it was in such a state that these two Jedi shared that such a truth was never stronger felt.

The entire planet was one living organism. And even that was just part of a bigger organism. It was in the celebration of life and all of its majesty that balance was found. The hunting of the shadowcats, the running of the fauna they stalked, the rumblings of bigger, darker creatures miles away. Like cells in ones own body. The Living Force flowed like a river bed, and those who could learn to sit and observe patiently at its side would never want for pure sustenance.

"Firion,"
Ze'kyre said, opening his eyes. "You've done well, pup. There is trail mix here, plenty of fruits and veggies, with nuts and berries to be foraged all around. But I understand that Amarans need meat in their diet, so we will hunt. Have you ever hunted for your own food?"

Firion, opening his eyes, shook his had no. "We always got our food from the market, or from what we grew", he told him. Firion never did hunt, but he was getting hungry. The knight nodded at the Amaran pup's response. Standing up, he took Firion with him. They began hunting....
