The cities of Rodia were sprawling masterpieces of culture and architecture, encased by iconic domes to protect the citizens inside. Kyrdo was definitely not a city of Rodia. Instead, it was mostly a loose collection of shanty houses and mud huts in the heart of Rodia's vast swampland. The people there kept to themselves, mostly fishermen and craftspeople, rarely trading with the big cities due to the geographic distance from them.

So, naturally, it became a nice target. Without the support of the big cities and being too remote for much attention to be given it, a local warlord by the name of Rordo had taken the town over with his men, killing any fighters and enslaving the rest for his own gain. One young Rodian woman had managed to slip away. She trekked many miles to the nearest city and informed the authorities. They had sent out a scouting party to investigate and had been met by Rordo's men, who forced the citizens of Kyrdo to pretend everything was fine. The authorities believed them and did nothing further. Frustrated and worried for her people, the Rodian girl put out a distress signal to the back channels of the HoloNet, asking for any mercenaries, adventurers and do-gooders to help her take back her town from this vile warlord, promising a small reward as well as a pick of spoils from any foes they defeated.

For young Kyp the Mandalorian, the rewards and spoils didn't interest him so much as the promise of a good fight. His armor was probably superior to anything the warlord's forces had and he expected a reward from a backwater town to be pretty scant. But he did love fighting so he was happy to lend a hand. After all, he was on the planet anyway refueling - may as well make a few credits while doing it.

"This all you're expecting?" Kyp asked the Rodian woman, Nyreena, scoffing. Right now, he was the only one who'd shown up. They sat down in a small hunter's cabin about ten miles away from the town of Kyrdo.

"More will come. I'm sure of it." Nyreena said, anxiously looking at the door for more arrivals.

Rodia. Not exactly Javelin's ideal destination. But after the massacre he had witnessed on Ajan Kloss, he was just happy to be alive. The Jedi Temple had been attacked. Just the thought of the event made his whole body shake. The cold feeling of the dark side disturbed him. He had never come that close to it, and the thought of facing a Sith once felt so distant. But now it was different. Now he knew that it could happen any day. And when it did, he wasn't sure if he'd be ready.

Passing through the dome, Javelin landed the Jedi Shuttle as safely as he could. His piloting skills were getting better every day, but he was far from an expert. Blasts of pressurized air-launched from the ship as he touched down, and aside from the shake of the sudden departure, things went off relatively without a hitch.

Javelin trekked down the ramp of the shuttle, taking in his surroundings. "Should be a good place to refuel." He thought. As he reached for what little credits he had left, his holo communicator screeched and shook. Removing it from his pouch, he activated it, causing a distorted hologram of a Rodian woman to appear.

"This is a call to anyone out there. My name is Nyreena. My home- Kyrdo- is under siege. A warlord has taken over and turned it into a slave camp overnight. To anyone listening, please help. I'll give you all the credits I have."

Vanishing as quickly as it had appeared, the holo communicator reverted to its resting state. Javelin thought for a moment. It wasn't the Jedi way to leave someone helpless, not while he was here to do something. Besides, a local warlord and his goons was hardly a match for a Jedi. Even if that Jedi was still a Padawan. Regrouping with the other Jedi would have to wait. Throwing a few credits to a nearby spaceport worker, Javelin hopped on a speedster, rushing out of the dome.

Javelin stopped at a hunter's cabin nearly ten miles outside of Kyrdo proper. "This is the place." He thought. Deactivating the speeder, Javelin opened the wooden door, lowering the hood of his Jedi robe as he raised his guard.

Kyp rolled his eyes at the Rodian woman's idealism and went to work cleaning his blaster. He had faced hardier opponents than a warlord so he wasn't too nervous about the upcoming battle. In fact, he rather relished it. But one thing that was bothering him was Nyreena's relentless optimism. The sooner that she paid him he could never see her again, the better.

However, her optimism was proven correct for a skinny human boy suddenly entered the dwelling. The Lepi Mandalorian sniffed derisively.

"Looks like I was wrong, Nyreena. Seems we have a scarecrow to draw some potshots with. And here I thought we'd be without allies." Kyp said, partially to get a rise out of Nyreena and partially to test this new arrival. If he was going to be in combat with someone, he'd want to know if he could trust them to do the job or not. Normally, someone in Mandalorian armor could assuage those doubts from Kyp. Barring that, someone who looked like they had military experience or were of an imposing figure. This kid was none of that so he'd have to earn this Mandalorian's trust.

As soon as Javelin entered, he was greeted with an insult. Not surprising, really. Someone comes to save the day, and they immediately get ridiculed. That's just how the galaxy works. Making his way through the small cabin, Javelin took a seat at the table with the woman from the hologram, Nyreena, and a man in Mandalorian armor. From the few words he had heard, Javelin knew that the stranger must've been another one answering the call for help. Even with his attitude, Mandalorians were regarded as the best warriors in the galaxy. But Javelin still considered them second to the Jedi.

"You seem like loads of fun. Hopefully, you're better with a blaster than you are with first impressions." Javelin smirked. The young Jedi had developed a reputation amongst his fellow padawans for his sarcasm and ill-timed humor. The masters said it was what kept him from becoming a fully-realized Jedi Knight. Even so, at least now it looked like he had someone to match him.

"Save it for Rordo and his goons" Nyreena said exasperatedly, wielding her own weapon - a plank with nails in it - for effect. Kyp rolled his eyes. Between her naivete and this beanpole kid, it looked like he was about to do the heavy lifting.

"Fair enough. What kind of strength are we looking at here?" The Lepi asked.

"At least thirty men. Maybe more from what I could tell." Nyreena said.

Kyp whistled between his teeth.

"That all?" he asked sarcastically.

"They look to Rordo for leadership. Once he falls, they'll be lost and confused. Maybe even scatter." She said.

"With the cover of nightfall, we can use this fishing boat to sail into the town silently and take out any lookouts. Once we're in, most everyone else will be asleep so it should be pretty easy to neutralize Rordo without too much bloodshed." Nyreena advised.

"Shame that" Kyp said, hopping into the aforementioned boat. "You sure you up for this string bean?"

"There's more to me than meets the eye, Mando." Javelin replied, jumping into the boat alongside his metallic-armored partner. Thirty men, shouldn't be much of a challenge for a Mandalorian and a Jedi. Then again, the person giving him so much crap probably had no idea of Javelin's skills. Regardless, two of the galaxy's best warriors versus a gang of bandits? They wouldn't stand a chance.

Sailing for a time with the cover of night, Javelin kept his guard up, looking for the aforementioned lookouts. Up ahead was a small dock for fishing boats, equipped with several guard towers containing well-placed reconnaissance. Javelin focused his gaze, keeping his eye on the closest of the guard towers. Eventually tying the boat to the dock, Javelin exited the craft, using his hood and the darkened sky to his advantage to remain hidden.

Javelin crept up to the side of the guard tower and unclipped a small grappling hook from his belt, tossing it to the top of the tower. Finding traction alongside a long metal railing, Javelin pulled, ensuring that he was properly secured. He winked back at the Mandalorian, quickly beginning his climb to the top of the tower.

It didn't take long to reach the top. As he neared his destination he looked just under the rail, eyeing a single Rodian equipped with an E-22 blaster rifle. It was of Imperial-make, and at this point, quite the antique. But Javelin wasn't phased. Mounting the railing, Javelin approached his prey, readying himself for a quick silent takedown.

Risho

Risho had been listening out for any distress signals. He'd been patrolling around Tatooine. Far out of his
jurisdiction but he liked to see the galaxy. The Chiss had his helmet off and on the seat next to him as he tuned into a distress signal. He listened with his feet up on the dashboard of his ship.

"This is a call to anyone out there. My name is Nyreena. My home- Kyrdo- is under siege. A warlord has taken over and turned it into a slave camp overnight. To anyone listening, please help. I'll give you all the credits I have."

Risho listened to the distress call and nodded. Time to bring some justice. He flew down and entered the orbit of Rodia and landed his ship in a nearby city. He put his helmet on over his head to hide his identity. Grabbing his belt with his holster and heavy blaster pistol in it. He left his ship and closed it up walking to a speedster hire. Flicking some credits over to the Rodian who owned the speedsters he quickly got on it and sped off into the wilderness to where the signal came from.

Risho came across the cabin, there was a speedster outside. He hopped off his own and walked towards the cabin, the stars and moons shining down upon him. Entering the cabin he soon realised it was empty. "Damn". He sighed to himself as he left, crouching down he looked at the footsteps which led to the river. They've gone down the river. Thinking to himself as he looked around himself before mounting his speedster. He'd be able to catch up to whoever was helping on this mission on this. Risho rode the speedster over water, the water making a trail behind him as it zipped quickly. He soon saw the boat with the three people on it, a girl, a Mandalorian and a Jedi. Interesting. He'd slow his speedster down to a crawl and it was now much quieter. He rode it at a snails pace towards them. Eventually he turned off the speedster and allowed it to close the gap with momentum. Risho flashed his badge as he stood up on the speedster and hopped onto the boat. "Risho, Sector Ranger". With the helmet on his voice sounded deep and quite robotic. You wouldn't be able to tell that he was a Chiss under his clothing especially considering that you couldn't see his red eyes under his helmet. Most people assumed he was a Pantoran from his blue skin which could sometimes be seen in the gap of his sleeves and gloves.

"What is he doing?!?!" Nyreena hissed to Kyp as the kid tied up the boat and began assaulting the guard tower. Kyp had to hand it to the human - it certainly was bold. He readied his rifle and was about to step off shore when all of a sudden, a strange figure silently came up and hopped onto the boat. Before the Chiss could properly introduce himself, Kyp's instincts kicked in. He saw an armed, helmeted man he didn't know and he assumed he was part of Rordo's crew.

"RUN!" he howled to Nyreena before tackling Rishi into the water to protect his employer. That definitely got the guards in the two towers flanking the docks attention and they began opening fire on the water. Due to the darkness and the distortion of the water, they weren't actually hitting much of anything but it certainly would give Javelin an opportunity to strike.

The bandits on the guard towers opened fire, illuminating the night sky with the crimson light from their blaster bolts. This could only mean one thing. Things were not going well. If his Mandalorian friend had been spotted, their entire stealth plan was out the window. But then again, this gave Javelin the perfect opportunity to take care of the guard in front of him without him noticing.

Sneaking up behind the Rodian before him, Javelin struck, pouncing on his prey and putting them in a chokehold. The blaster fire of their E-22 rang in his ears. Javelin used the force, augmenting his strength to take out the guard as quickly as possible. Flipping them over his head, he slammed the Rodian bandit to the floor of the tower, knocking them out cold.

Javelin's gaze narrowed on the remaining bandit. Reinforcements would be on the way soon, and the young Jedi had to act. Using the force to boost himself, Javelin lept to the other tower. The bandit looked on in shock. This kid, no more than twenty years old, had made a leap that some would consider impossible. The Rodian quickly realized that he wasn't dealing with any average mercenary. He realized too late.

Two shots fired from the blaster, bouncing off a blade of pure energy. Javelin flowed like water, cutting the blaster rifle in half, and pointing his blade to the assailant's neck. It was over.

Risho

Risho's eyes widened as the Mandalorian shouted before he could introduce himself. He attempted to move out of the way but he was stood on a boat. Not much room to move. Before he knew it, he was submerged under water. Risho swam up to the surface and gripped onto the boat, pulling himself up. There was a hail of blaster fire hitting the dock and river around thim. "I thought
Mandalorians were smart warriors, but it appears you lack critical thinking skills. If there was any threat, they surely wouldn't have came up onto your boat". Risho was now up on the boat, he shook himself off as the water dripped from him. He stepped off the boat and onto the dock drawing his blaster pistol.

Risho walked his way over to the grappling hook and tugged it. It was steady and firm. A blaster bolt landed at his feet and he looked up at the man in the tower. He pointed his pistol at him and fired. Two shots came out of the barrel and landed in the Rodian's face. Risho then begun his ascent up the wall, using the grappling hook. It didn't take long before he got to the top, still soaking wet. He jumped over the railing and looked at the Jedi. The night sky reflecting off of his Ranger badge. Risho analysed the area, ducking down as a blaster bolt came his way. His grip was tight around the blaster, he jumped up finding his target quickly. Two bolts came out of the end of his blaster with one pull of the trigger hitting the Rodian in the chest. Risho crouched behind cover immediately after taking care of his target. He pulled out one of his thermal detonators and thought about how he could use it effectively. Looking over at the Jedi he got an idea. "If I activate this and throw it, will you be able to guide it to the best place?"

The smooth movements of @Javelin Kel were too much for the Rodian at the guard tower and he put his hands up above his head, his blaster rifle laying in pieces at his feet.

"Please! I know where Rordo is!" the Rodian pleaded to the Jedi.

"Yeah, I lack critical thinking. Who sneaks up on a Mandalorian in a warzone, moron?!?" Kyp spat at @Risho , water out of his mouth, glaring at this idiot standing before him. However, he didn't have long to stare because suddenly the Sector Ranger was off, grappling up to the guard tower to join Javelin.

Ah well - Kyp wasn't too fond of people anyways. He made his way down the street, sweeping his rifle and checking his corners. All that blasterfire was sure to have alerted any Rodians who were previously asleep. Nyreena walked with him, wielding her makeshift club with a ferocity that belied her inexperience. The two from the guard tower would be able to see them and provide cover if they needed. As they walked, Nyreena suddenly stopped and raised her hand, pointing to a small church at the end of the cul-de-sac of the street.

"That's where Rordo sleeps." she said over the comm on the pre-established channel she'd given Kyp and Javelin, although with how close Kyp was to her, he didn't exactly need the comm to hear her.

Out of nowhere, a third had joined their makeshift band of rescuers. A Sector Ranger, clad in dark armor and a helmet stood before Javelin now, blaster at his side. The Jedi's gaze didn't waver, though. Keeping his focus on the bandit in front of him, his expression turned serious. The Rodian had declared that he knew where the bandit leader, Rordo, was but after the message he had just received from Nyreena in his communicator, it seemed that the information that the Rodian had wasn't too important after all.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but you can sleep now." With a wave of Javelin's hand, the Rodian's eyes rolled back in his head, falling to the ground in a deep sleep. Sheathing his lightsaber he turned to the Sector Ranger, who looked on at him with no surprise. "Man, really thought they'd be impressed by my skills. Oh well." The Ranger held out a thermal detonator, asking if Javelin could guide it with the force. But Javelin didn't like it. Better to keep the deaths to as little as possible. It wasn't the Jedi way to butcher all of these people in cold blood, even if they were terrorizing the town. Masking his own feelings, he clipped his weapon back onto his belt, smiling to the ranger kindly.

"I like your enthusiasm but let's try it a different way. It seems our friends on the ground have found Rordo. Once we cut the head off of the snake, the body will fall. Let's not fall too behind."

Leaping off of the guard tower, Javelin used the force to land safely. Dust rose from beneath him as he arrived back on the streets of the village. Running back up to Nyreena and the Mandalorian Kyp, Javelin unhooked his weapon once more, placing it in his hand. He looked up at his partner.

"You ready?"
