Y'know, one event (Assassination of Franz Ferdiand) is what caused WWI. I don't think that this will cause WWIII, but you shouldn't be so quick to shrug off something because it is only one event.

That was the spark that set the powder keg off. There was a significant amount of other factors that played into setting off the first world war. That is about the extent of my knowledge I can recall from history class.
