BIOGRAPHY

Born to parents who were partners running a local business, Ryssa was exposed to finance and economics from a young age. Her parents always told her that money was the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, and it eventually became something she always drew on when making decisions as governor.

Her childhood was relatively ordinary and calm, and Ryssa couldn’t ask for anything more. Her parents treated her well, she was given a good middle-class education, plenty of food and everything she needed for a comfortable life. Despite this, she was not completely shielded from seeing the effects of corruption. Horrified at hearing about the past exploitation of Ryloth and its people by the syndicates, the turning point for her came when she was on the way back from a trip and finding out that it wasn’t all over yet. One of her close friends had been killed in an attempted kidnapping by members of the Pyke Syndicate, but the authorities had turned a blind eye and had refused to intervene.

Further challenges came during the Battle of Ryloth, where she was separated from her family during the Sith invasion and forced to find safety for herself. Joining the resistance for a brief period of time, she learned some basic survival skills as well as how to handle a blaster. To this day, she carries a stun pistol wherever she can and despises the Sith Empire, though she never shows it on the surface.

Personality

When handling business that involves Ryloth, Ryssa exhibits a firm, no-nonsense attitude toward those she interacts with, not afraid to put her foot down when the need arises. If things don't go the way she wants, she will take things into her own hands, even if it might break the norms of life as a governor. While she may come off as stuffy at times, she is in fact a generous and empathetic individual.

A firm believer in diplomacy, Ryssa prefers to settle disputes in a peaceful manner before resorting to bloodshed, even in dealings with criminals. However, the needs of her people come first, and she is willing to put her beliefs aside if it is necessary to do so.
