History

Sahren was born to a very poor and unhappy couple on the planet of Dathomir many years ago. His father was a nightbrother who still worked for the crimson dawn, while his mother was a nightsister who would eventually become sith. Growing up, his parents frequently argued over which one of them would determine their child's fate. The mother wanted him to be brought to Korraban for testing and sith trials. His father on the other hand, insisted their son learn to wield a blaster and join the crimson dawn. Each alternative was frightening to a boy so young, but in the end, his mother got her way.

On an especially heated night, she would scream at his father before cutting the man asunder with her crimson blade. Sahren would cry for hours as his mother simply dragged him away, and tossed him into a small ship with her... The pair departed for the site capital of the galaxy, Korriban. The people of the temple would look at the young new comer with disappointment, as many could not feel the force within him. Even still, his mother would have his face tattooed, as was tradition for their kind. She would spend many days trying to teach him the ways of the dark side, but the force simply never spoke to him.

This would go on for years, with the mother eventually giving up on her child. Knowing the boy was of little use, she would have him sold as a slave boy to a crime lord on the planet Nar Shaddaa. He would be put into service of a powerful local hutt named "Skalva", and act as a dutiful servant. As the boy grew older however, a bounty hunter would eventually enter the great hutt's court. The mysterious man would be tasked with hunting down a group of criminals, crimson dawn criminals... The bounty hunter said he would take the job, if he could take the boy with him. Though reluctant and confused at first, the hutt quickly agreed, as the bounty targets were far more valuable than a mere slave.

Together, Sahren and the nameless hunter would set off on a quiet journey to the planet Corellia. On the flight over, the bounty hunter would explain that he was once a slave too, but won his freedom in a gladiator match. He decided to take Sahren with him, so the boy could escape and free himself. The young zabrak was overjoyed, but worried about his future, alone and without family... A few days later, the job would be successful. The hunter had managed to find his marks, and make good on them. As promised, he would leave the young lad on the city world, alone...

Several years would pass, and Sahren found himself running with a small-time swoop gang on the planet. They called themselves the "Krayt Klaws", and specialized in racketeering and robbery. Though their crew was small, all it took was robbing the wrong person to get some serious retribution. according to their leader, a bounty hunter had been hired to kill them all, and they needed to take action. Arming himself with a light blaster pistol and vest, Sahren would prepare to face their foe in an alley, along with the rest of the gang... As the man turned the corner however, it would be the same hunter who spared him so many years ago... The zabrak's mind would go blank, he would hear blaster fire, but time stood still. In a few seconds he would awaken to see the other gangsters dead, with only himself left standing.

The bounty hunter would approach the young man, and put a hand on his shoulder, "Come on kid. I thought you'd do a bit better than this... At least I toughened you up a bit... Follow me, we've got a lot of work to do." It was that moment, when he became apprentice to Kelzar Mazen, infamous bounty hunter and assassin.

Six more years would pass, Sahren remained under Kalzar all this time, learning everything he could. The pair of them would work for the five syndicates, as relatively free agents, exactly what his father would have wanted. Unfortunately, one mission would soon change everything. A bounty target on the planet Raxus, the mark: another hunter. A job like this was usually seen as dishonorable, but their duo didn't exactly do 'honor'.

As the two of them managed to chase down their target, both Kelzar and the other hunter would engage in an intense fire fight. Their battle was long and drawn out, but would eventually end with each hunter being shot dead, and their starship blown to smithereens by a rocket launcher... This would leave Sahren alone and stranded on Raxus, with his closest friend and ally dead. The young man was devastated, and vowed to eventually return to the five syndicates to honor his master's legacy. Until then however, he decided to look for work on Raxus itself, and the sheer volume of it was surprising. He must have been the only gun for hire on the scrap world.

Over the course of two years, he would become a renowned mercenary and bounty hunter on the planet and would gain many skills. Now, he finally decides to leave the junk world and rejoin the organization his father and mentor once served, the Five Syndicates...

Skills
  • Ranged Weaponry. Sahren has been formally trained in the handling of both blaster rifles and pistols. He is also equipped with a small assortment of ranged explosives, which he is skilled at firing. Overall Skill Level: Well Above Average.

  • Unarmed Combat. Sahren has more recently familiarized himself with the classic art of fisticuffs, since his acquisition of a Pneumatic Fist. While he is by no means the greatest close-ranged brawler, he is adept by most standards. Overall Skill Level: Above Average.

  • Tinkering. During his stay on Raxus, Sahren was forced to create much of his current weaponry from the damaged tech he salvaged on the planet. Thanks to some professional instruction from a few locals there, he learned many ends and outs of hardware design and construction. Overall Skill Level: Well Above Average.

  • Piloting. While he is familiar with the controls of most starships, Sahren is by no means an ace pilot. He can only pull off very basic maneuvers, and tends to get quite nervous during dogfights. Overall Skill Level: Below Average.
