Thought he would've been good until the economy crapped out. That and Palin really ****ed his chances. He was actually pretty close around August and early September.

If the economy didn't collapse, I think he would have done a good job managing the Middle East. But we'll never know.

I wonder if it has to do with the media buzz. Ever since she was nominated as VP, the Paparazzi have been harassing and jizzing all over her and her family. Not to mention that it is mostly bad PR, too. Like, the whole teenage baby with her daughter, her crazy antics in Alaska (that some people have called barbaric, especially about the shooting moose business), and every talk show host has made numerous cracks at her.

Maybe she just wants her life back. For herself and her family. It's really the only way they will leave her alone. Maybe?

My understanding has always been that the majority of the Canadian population lived on the border of the US and the coast, not all up into the tundra. If they had reason to go west, Canada prolly would've annexed it, methinks.
