INTEREST CHECK

@Cameron Foster @Darasuum @DroidDude123 @Sarah Vez @Loco

First read the OP of this thread:

This is really big. The Bounty Hunters Guild are arranging a jail break!!

" As a rule, the Bounty Hunters' Guild preferred to be on the side of the angels as far as Republic law was involved, generally refusing contracts that directly opposed or hurt the Republic, considering they paid the Guild rather well in order for their services, and in order to keep their services from being turned against the Republic.

But every rule had it's exception. And this happened to be one of them.
A certain wealthy client had offered a frankly obscene sum of credits in order to spring a prisoner from a Republic Prisoner Transport headed to the supermax prison on Coruscant.

And because the Bounty Hunters' Guild preferred to avoid hurting the Republic, at least officially, this was also why this particular contract had been chosen as the Trial of one aspiring Hunter, Diva Tumi. She wasn't a true member of the Guild yet, so should her mission fail and she ended up caught, or dead, the Guild could easily deny any involvement and claim Ms. Tumi as yet another wannabee unaffiliated with the Guild."

I have sent a message to @Kiro to ask if we can get involved at all, whether by having someone on the transport already as an undercover operative, or simply to investigate afterwards..
Who would like to take on this case?

Here is the evidence:

""Very well, hold her here for a moment. I will have Donald send one of his guards to escort this woman and bring her to the cockpit. While you wait contact Dr. Greenacre and have him take a DNA sample and biometric hand print of the woman so that we can log Shamir's time on the vessel."
It happened as well, if you read the thread.
So, who is with me, pending permission of course??

Loco, any suggestions are welcome. :)

Well if its a guild we would probably need a good sum of people to match their own numbers as close as possibly. Because in the infantry we like the 2 to 1 odds lol

Sarah, please read the OP, as I suggested. ;)
It is one woman who is staging the jailbreak.
Not the whole Guild. We may not even be able to trace it back to them. ;)

What authority do the Sector Rangers have to investigate the guild?

I would hold off on this until after the vote in the guild legal status - as if they're approved by the senate this won't end well.

The Rangers might be within their jurisdiction to investigate a major jailbreak after it occurs, depending on where exactly it happens and who or what actions are involved. It's unlikely though with our limited manpower we'd use someone simply to accommodate a simple prisoner transport without some sort of prior request or warning, so I wouldn't suggest interfering with the mission itself. Remember- we investigate crime, we don't generally prevent it.

What authority do the Sector Rangers have to investigate the guild?

The same authority we have to investigate anyone else suspected of a major crime against the Republic. I can't think of a reason the guilds legal status would make a difference in this case.

@Iain 89 @Sarah Vez please relax because we can't be everywhere at once, and you two should maybe get a bit of experience before tackling anyone in a could be PVP fight. Besides I say we can worry about it afterwards, besides if you two are worried about it later come to me and I can help you guys.

So you would agree with investigating it afterwards?
Thanks for the support, getting ideas rebuffed all the time gets a bit depressing.. ;)

@Benvenu7 I have no intention of getting involved in PvP, I am just the Admin guy.
I only asked her if she wanted to do it, so not sure why you're saying to relax?
Also, we are just going to investigate afterwards. No problem with that ;)

If the case is worth posting, I just wanted people to know about it. I thought it was a big find.
I'll remember you offered support, thankyou. :)

@Loco - Kiro has replied that he would be OK with us going in and investigating afterwards. Success!

Would you mind adding that to the Case Files sometime? :D

Write something up in the same format I have the others in, and I'll add it to the first post.

Case name: To Catch a Jedi.

Lead Investigator:
TBD

Suspects:
Female Jedi

Evidence Log:
Eyewitnesess saw female Jedi get into bar fight and draw lightsaber. She was seen fleeing the bar whilst sheathing the lightsaber.

A man's dead body was found in an alleyway not far from the bar on Naboo, death wound appears to be from lightsaber.
Female Jedi seen by eyewitnesses fleeing the alleyway whilst crying, loud scream from man heard just moments beforehand.

5 guards' dead bodies, cut up by what appears to be a lightsaber.

She was seen escaping on a speeder.
Guard who chased her has returned and said that he lost her, with a dazed look in his eyes..

Eyewitnesses include the surviving guards and a droid that was working at the bar.

Tips and Leads:
Droid known as Eleg-4ntt worked at the bar and witnessed both incidents.

Objectives:
*Locate witnesses and interview them to form a picture of what happened.

*Find and capture the dangerous female Jedi. Bring her in to face the legal consequences of her actions.

Case Summary:
A Jedi was seen fleeing a bar on Naboo, having possibly attacked someone with a lightsaber and then murdering a man found dead in a nearby alleyway, with a lightsaber wound.
After evading the guards, the Jedi turned and killed several guards, cutting them to pieces.
This Jedi is clearly highly unstable, dangerous and unpredictable.
They need to be approached with extreme caution, and they also need to be brought in, to face the full legal consequences of their actions...

Naboo is in the Outer Rim, well outside of Republic space and our jurisdiction. Sorry guys.
