That's probably about right for an entry level base salary, but there's always additional money for federal jobs. A lot of cops make over time, per diem, etc, and get raises on a regular basis. Most of the deputies I used to work with (county level job) were pulling in close 100 grand a year with about 10 years in.

It may have originated on sullust but when is a cop next door when a crime happens. It would be too convenient for a ranger to be there but the Senator is on bandomeer as well as one or two other people so we could interact with them.

Alright, I guess I must have missed it at some point, but it looks like Iain has moved on from the Sector Rangers. I probably should have known something was up when I stopped getting a dozen or more notifications a day in the same thread :p


That said, since he was pushing along a couple of things at once, I'd like to take a quick count of who's still here and who's currently working cases. I haven't heard from @Ender of late, so I may need some backup on the Chandrilla Bombing case now that I'm getting it moving. I'd also still like to see some progress on the Cyber Propaganda case- it looks like the Jedi may have caught wind of it and could start looking into it themselves- I'd hate for the glow stick guys to beat us to the bad guys here.

So, updates. What's everyone up to? What's your plans?

Well i thought there were going to be more ranger participating but so far it has just been cameron, myself and ian but since he's moved on...

I'm here, with my Ranger Troy Walker. I want to apologize to everyone for not being as active as I should. I've been busy with real life and I got to excited to fast for the new timeline, so I jumped into a massive amount of roleplays and quickly got overwhelmed. I have not participated in any cases but I would like to soon.

So yes I am very much well here, its just I'm slowly killing everything that's holding me back from roleplaying. However once the Sector Rangers get approved via senate committee I intend to surprise y'all with an open thread. (No longer a surprise I know)

But yes, I'm here. I will always be here come hell or high water. I wouldn't of fought so hard to get them approved just to bail right before the good stuff.

I think two Rangers is plenty to work on a case. I'd recommend just moving on with what you've got.

I think my character is going to join the Accord. i thought i would let you guys know and not just up and leave without saying so. i think i'll make my character's bio include a longer amount of time in the rangers just for backstory so if anyone wants to say "oh i know a guy that i can trust with this sort of thing." or you need a marksmen/veteran detective of some sort then you can always let me know.

for the current missions i have going on i'll finish if they go anywhere but so far i haven't gotten much activity on them so i'm just going to leave them as is unless someone continues participation.

It's been a little more difficult than I expected for things to get moving around here. The concept of having writers drive the missions from the bottom up rather than top down (like most factions) takes quiet a bit of work for the player base. It's definitely not the fast paced environment many indie factions are used to.

Well you could pick up where Dar left off on the Propaganda case or you could troll around for something new. Czerka and the Hutts seem busy, and so do the Smugglers, so if you see something they do leaving a slime trail in Republic space, bring it up.
