After their last shared mission, it felt like an eternity had passed with everything that had happened for the two of them even if it actually hadn't been more than a few weeks. While Jonathen had been right about having to leave his platoon, he had risen into the position of an Imperial Commander. Kalique had been overly happy for him, yet missions had prevented her from congratulating him in real life.

She had stayed in contact via messages though, even after that one momentous day on Columex, but while he had everything to be proud of, she had felt terribly ashamed and disappointed that he had shoved the Imperial Lieutenant which did count as an assault. Ever since, it hadn't only been her rank that he had temporarily lost, but maybe rights and privileges had been taken away from her. She didn't mind that part as she found it just and deserved, yet she had had her thoughts about how Jonathen treated the incident.

The two had shared a lot throughout the time they had known each other and finished various missions that had led them into learning how to blindly trust the other. He had proven that when he had let her into his mind so that she had been able to access the presence that had haunted the town, but she had been afraid he too was more careful once again. It was not like she had really harmed the Lieutenant at all, yet she had used her power to subdue him momentarily and fragile was always a fragile little thing. She was afraid it would change something between them as well and those worries made her nervous when she waited for him on Serenno.

They had spoken about using their little time off to finally see each other again, so after she had paid her family a quick visit, she had short-handedly asked him to come over instead of traveling back to a different system. The mansion was way too much...House Demici was obviously wealthy with the wealth having been in their possession for centuries, but Kalique had never cared about it much and she even found it a little awkward to invite him here into the excessive, ostentious residence on the countryside, far away from her family though. Ever since the slip-up and the consequences that had followed she had trained and trained and finally found herself again after having also taken a little break from spotlight missions, but it had been good to at least check in on her folks before she had chosen to stay in one of their summer residences to be away from the hustle and the bustle.

She had sent the servants that usually kept the gardens groomed and house cleaned off prior to his arrival as she wasn't in need of their services. She hadn't informed her parents so that they could call them back to their estate, but had given them a little time off instead. As it was a warm summer day here, the climate would not only be a harsh contrast to Raxus. She excitedly awaited his arrival on the porch, dressed in a floral, cut off summer dress, instead of a uniform as this was supposed to be a real time off before she'd return to her duties, but she was also still nervous. She had withheld most details from her family, yet something about a guest had slipped and so they had insisted on providing a droid pilot and speeder that would pick him up and drive him towards the mansion.

The last weeks had been a blur. He had left their last mission together and had not stopped moving since. Imperial Commanders oversaw entire regiments of soldiers. He had gone from 40 soldiers to several thousand overnight. He already had approved leave but had to rush to finish Batallion Inspections before he left.

The only thing that had kept him sane was nightly chats with Kalique. Things were certainly complicated, not only between them but also them as individuals. She had been court-martialed in the days following their last mission. He hadn't even known about it until after it had finished. He wished he had been informed; his entire former platoon would have testified on her behalf. She may have made a mistake, but he felt uneasy about punishing someone so severely for an infraction. He understood the reasoning, but he didn't like it.

They had avoided the topic mostly until this point. When she offered him to spend some of his leave with her on Serenno, he pounced on the idea. While he might have said he had grand plans, most of his leave likely would have been spent in his apartment on Raxus, or worse yet; he would have just gone to work. This was much better.

When he arrived at the spaceport, he was greeted by a droid chauffeur and driven out into the countryside. When he arrived at the home sometime later, he was a little taken aback by the size. "Are you sure we are at the right place?" he asked the droid as he pulled down the long driveway. "Of course, Master Baize." the droid responded cheerfully. He knew her family was rich, but this place was impressive.

He exited the vehicle and slung his bag over his shoulder. He spotted her as he walked up to the house and smiled as he climbed the stairs. He wore pants and a blue button-up shirt, though he had rolled the sleeves up due to the heat of the day. He still felt underdressed.

"Hi there." he said, his smile broadened as he crested the stairs and stepped onto the porch.

Scrolling through her NalPhone for an update on where the speeder currently was, she realized that they were on their way already, so she actually had to hurry to get some cool lemonade made with freshly squeezed fruits ready before he arrived.

As the speeder entered through the first tall security gate down at the beginning of the drive way, she was done and already seated, waited for them to drive all the way up and reach the large space in front of the mansion.

She smoothed down her dress and got up, a wide, warm smile immediately planted on her lips as she moved to meet him on the porch, her excitement reaching its maximum. It felt like she hadn't seen him in ages and while she had thought she had been fine on her own, she immediately realized that she had missed his company.

The way she saw his smile broadening already told her that he was happy to see her as well and so she gently took the bag from him and set it down before she actually threw her arms around him.

Immediately, she could feel the relaxation settle in as that pleasant, familiar warmth spread through her body now that they were finally reunited. She had missed him more than she had thought after all. With her head pressed against his chest she simply felt safe and enjoyed the moment with her eyes closed before she decided to greet him as well.

"Hey you. You've made it!" she finally pulled back, meeting his gaze with nothing but joy filling her for the moment. She was really glad he had come and it even felt like that was exactly she had needed. Him. Not only to talk to, which was definitely still needed, but there was more to it. "Welcome to one of our not at all excessive summer residences" she added, obvious sarcasm bleeding into her voice.

He let her slip the bag from his shoulder and let out a breath as she embraced him. The sudden show of affection brought out a burst of warm laughter from him as he wrapped his arms around her. The smell of her hair mixing with the summer breeze made for a surreal moment. He could have spent his leave going anywhere in the Galaxy, but he knew there wasn't a place he chose over being here with her.

"I did! It was quite the journey.." he said. Jonathen hadn't really ever needed a ship of his own. After joining the Imperial Army, he took Imperial Transports from world to world. This was the first time he had traveled outside of Imperial space, so he had been relegated to public transportation, which he didn't mind until he had been stuck in the middle row between two Wookies.

He laughed when she sarcastically quipped about her home. "Honestly, Its a little underwhelming. No, wonder you joined the Imperial Knights; if my family had made me rough it like this, I would have too!" he joked. In reality, this place was incredible. However, he would have come even if she had been staying in a one-room shack.

"Now this.." he said, looking up and down as he admired her dress. "...this was a surprise. I pictured you still wearing your Armor even here." he joked. "You're beautiful." he finally added. It was good to see her smile. He had been worried about her. In the presence of her smile, he also found it difficult not to smile.

In his embrace all the negative thoughts just dissipated into thin air while she enjoyed his warmth despite the relatively warm air. "I bet...I'd assume you'd want some rest first?", she asked, softly smiling up, knowing that he had been on transports for quite some time.

As he spoke about the house she chuckled along, sarcastically adding, "I know I know...and don't let me get started on the location. It's barely bearable". She then softly took his hand in hers and led him towards the table, sweetly asking, "Do you want some lemonade? I sticked to our family recipe". If he accepted, she'd pour themselves a glass, the warm Serennian summer sun embracing her skin.

"It's sight you'd probably have to get used to first" she replied amusedly as there truly hadn't been too many occasions on where she hadn't been either in armor or uniform before. "Thank you...you're also a sight to behold". She, too, had mostly seen him all geared up and the moments they had shared without it had been rare. It was nice to see him in something that casual and he was as extremely attractive as ever.

Despite not having actually seen in other in quite a bit their dynamic didn't seem to have changed, which she truly appreciated. He was as sweet as ever and she could no longer resist the temptation of leaning in for a soft kiss and so she did. Having craved his lips as well, she didn't let him go right away until she realized that he must have been thirsty. "Sorry sorry...I'll let you drink first" smiling apologetically she pulled back.

"We will just have to manage, I suppose." he said with a wink. He let her lead up towards a table overlooking the courtyard below. Her touch was soft as they walked. It was a bit of a disconnect from the warrior he knew she was. She had thoroughly kicked his ass in the past, which he wasn't too proud to admit. This was a different side of her.

He raised an eyebrow "Family Recipe, huh?" he spoke as they reached the table and sat down. "Well, I don't think I can pass that up.." he smiled. He admired the view as she poured the drinks.

He relaxed back in his chair when she leaned down to kiss him. A hand fell to her waist, and he pulled her closer in. Yes, he had come to love the time they had spent messaging back and forth. It had gotten him through the worst of the last while, but this was proving them a poor substitute for actually being with her.

When she pulled away, he wore a content grin. "Always apologizing." he said. It was a joke he had mentioned before. He often wondered why she was always so afraid of offending someone while being one of the boldest people he knew. He pulled her down for another kiss. "I think its safe to say you never have to apologize for that.." he spoke quietly. His hand lingered on her waist for a few more seconds before letting her pull away.

He lifted the glass and took a sip of lemonade, some of the best he had ever tasted. "This is incredible." he complimented. It was the perfect match for the warm summer day. "Is this how House Demici came to power?" he joked "..Building a vast lemonade empire?" he added.

Having set up the lemonade with a selection of regional fruit, fresh cold water, ice, a few leaves of Serennian lemonade and the softly sweet syrup with the slightest hint of honey taste, she hadn't gotten to try it before serving. Still, he couldn't yet taste it as she had prevented him from reaching it just then by the kiss she had started.

He pulled her closer and she melted in his embrace, realizing how she was not the only one craving it. As their lips parted, her smile only widened in joy before she elegantly sank into her seat as he withdrew his hand, his remark about her habit of apologizing drawing a chuckle from her. "That is good to know. I'll note that down" she playfully added before she tried the lemonade herself.

As he complimented her about the drink she couldn't help but to feel a little proud for apparently having it gotten right, although she did admit, "It's not as good as my grandma's had been...Hers had truly been addictive". The joke about the Demici lemonade Empire made her laugh yet again, realizing how much she had even missed this humor and how he always made her laugh.

She took another sip and enjoyed how the cool liquid seemed to refresh her from the inside while her happy gaze still rested on him. "I'm so glad this worked out...with your promotion I was afraid coordinating our time would be impossible" she set her glass down before she leaned back, "and congratulations again, by the way. You've deserved it". What he had mananged to do on Entralla was still incredible.

He really deserved this short get away and she was happy he could even spend it here. "I know you've traveled for hours, if you feel like laying down I can already give you the little room tour". As she offered, she slightly tilted her head to the side, her eyes almost sparkling in the summer sun while she met his gaze again.

"Grandmas have their own secret magic to making things taste better, so I won't hold it against you." he replied. It was one of the few times she had even mentioned her family specifically to him. She had remained fairly tight-lipped about it, but he assumed some tension there.

"Me too! And Thanks.." he said, hesitating on the last word. It was an awkward position. He was proud of his accomplishments and role in the Empire, but it was difficult when he disagreed with the severity of her own change in rank. "I fear the literal mountain of paperwork that will await me on my return." he said with a shiver. "...A small price to pay for the good company though." he added warmly as he took another sip of lemonade.

"I am alright for now." he reassured her. "But I would love a tour!" he added. They had certainly grown up in different worlds. Jonathen would have assumed growing up in places like this would turn someone into an insufferable person, but she was as pleasant as always. Maybe her entire family was like this, or maybe she was great despite her family.

He stood. "Shall we, my lady?" he said, trying and mostly failing at what he assumed a noble person would sound like.

She believed him when he mentioned the paperwork, already having gained some experience on that part and having been faced with a pile of reports she had to write as well. "I appreciate that you're willing to pay that price" she reciprocated the warm smile, geuine grateful and as happy as she hadn't been in a while.

As she enthusiastically agreed to the tour she rose with a chuckle, taking his arm and positioning it just like a Serennian nobleman would before she chuckled. "Very well, most honorable Baron Baize. The Baronesse shall commence the tour immediately", she quipped, taking the fake noble accent he had began to use while obviously amused by the fact that he assumed they did talk that way. Well, admittedly her aunt did and her father had traces of it in his usual tone as well, but it sounded hilarious when he did that.

She led him across the patio and through the tall, ornamented door that led them into the lounge room first. On the wall he'd find portraits of long deceased ancestors, but of the current countess - her aunt - as well. He'd also find a picture in a huge golden frame of herself, taken when she had been around 7 with her parents to her left and right with her official title underneath. She never referred to herself as Baronesse anyway and her parents had closed that chapter about having wanted her to stay and act her part anyway.

"So this first room has plenty of admittedly comfortable, however unnecessarily many seating accommodations" she explained, obviously mocking the interior design a little. Where there had been parties and high teas on afternoons every now and then, not even half the long loungers had usually been used then. The massive bookshelf was also decoration only, just like the chimney that was never used as her parents only used the house during summer anyway.

The view on the meticulously groomed garden, the little pound and generally the premises was relatively nice though. For her, this was just one places out of many that her parents owned, but she did have some pleasant childhood memories of it, so she nodded towards one of the sofas on their left "I remember how I have pretended to have fallen asleep over there a few times when I was too lazy to go to bed myself" she chuckled, doing the rare thing of actually letting someone in on those memories.

He stood a little straighter, chin raised slightly as they took their first few steps towards the house, and he burst into laughter. Jonathen was many things; noble was not one of them.

They walked through the main doors and began passing by various portraits until one nameplate caught his eye. She, quite possibly on purpose, was leading them by it quickly. "No no no no..." he protested, coming to a stop in front of the finely gold-framed portrait. "Is this you?!" he asked. "Baronesse Kalique Demici" he read the name plate underneath. "This is fantastic." he said, voice almost giddy. "Did they not let you smile?" he said, laughing. None of the people in their portraits were smiling. "Adorable." he finally said, letting himself be pulled further into the room.

The next room was equally impressive, but something struck him as odd. It felt so unlived in. He felt like he was about to break something. "I do appreciate a good couch.." he replied.

She pointed out a couch and her childhood memories. There were no jokes this time. He felt like he was let into something that few people got to witness, just a peek into her past. That was something to cherish. He squeezed her hand lightly. "It does look like the most comfortable one.." he finally spoke truthfully. "Mind if i..." he said, gesturing towards the couch.

If allowed, he would lay on the couch, the soft cushions practically pulling him into it. "Oh my god...This is more comfortable than my bed..." he said honestly. To be fair, this couch likely cost more than his bed many times over. "This is fantastic." The sun's rays came in from the outside in just the right amount providing a pleasant warmth. He sighed, opening his eyes and looking up at Kalique.

He pushed himself up to a seated position. He hadn't felt all that tired, but he had been more tired than he thought. The comfortable couch had drawn out a yawn. "Alright, what's the next stop on the tour," he asked.

After having led him aside a sudden thought crossed her mind. If she would be clever about this and guide him to the guide, he wouldn't spot the- it already was to late. Burying her face in her palms she just shook her head, chuckling before she let out a dramatic sigh. "Aaand he found it".

She watched him marvel at the portrait before he immediately infected her with his laughter, replying, "Smiling is simply not the fine, noble way here. As you can see, that's why I'm always so serious" she joked, already loosing herself in this goofiness with him again. "You don't want to know how long it had taken for me to keep such a straight face". Back then, her facades hadn't been that well trained yet and she had driven the photographer mad that they.

She immediately nodded as he approached the couch, another smirk tugging at her lips as the memory fading smoothly into the presence. Amusedly watching him sink into the soft, foam like fabric and reveling in the relaxation, she began doubting whether he was really not that tired. Now that the initial excitement had faded, maybe it was coming back to him. As he enthusiastically asked for the next stop though, she actually had a better idea.

"The next stop" she began, slowly closing the distance between her and the couch before pretending she was just there to offer a hand, "will be a detour" she finished as she lowered herself downwards instead of leading him away.

Positioning one knee left from him and swinging the other leg around, she now found herself on his lap, facing him before she leaned in for a passionate kiss. The couch was indeed comfortable and carried her like a cloud even while on knees. Her hands gently slid along the side of his neck as she pulled him a little closer, pressing her body closer to his. "I hope you don't mind that I couldn't resist" she whispered rather sensually as she pulled back for a little moment, wondering whether tiredness wasn't winning him over.

"Well, who would have thought that a childhood of stoic photos would prepare you for stern looks your entire Order is fond of wearing." he teased. He didn't tease too much. Everyone had pictures of themselves as kids that were a little embarrassing, though most weren't five feet tall.

As he sat on the couch, she approached with a familiar grace.

He took her hand and went to stand and push himself up but was quickly pushed back down as she moved forward. The soft cushions embraced him again as she shifted on his lap. His hands rested on the outside of her thighs, moving across the soft fabric of her dress before feeling smooth skin.

Jonathen let himself be pulled into another kiss. When she pulled away, he leaned back, still holding her. "I don't mind." he chuckled quietly. "Is this a part of the normal tour?" he asked as he ran a finger along the outside of her leg.

Stoic? Had she ever appeared stoic? Well, admittedly on missions she usually was much stiffer when she dutifully focused on the task at hand, but he had quickly drawn a more lighthearted demeanor from her. Heeey. That's quite presumptuous" she couldn't help but to chuckle, although originally having planned to sound more reproachful.

Their playful banter was soon forgotten as they found themselves on the couch, her mind immediately shifting to different thoughts. She had missed his physical touch as well and it felt good to give in to that attraction he had on her. Their lips melted against one another and she already felt this inner heat rising before she pulled back with that smirk.

"This is the beginning of your very special tour" she whispered back, making it sound like a sweet promise before she leaned in again, her skin prickling under his touch along her thighs. A gasp escaped her lips as she her own hands traveled down, finding their way towards his bare skin as well as she kept kissing him, her hips slowly grinding against his. Her hands finally reached the first button and opened it, before she slowly worked her way down further, deliberately taking her time.

Her whispering breath sent shivers down his spine as it pushed past his neck. The playfulness from earlier was replaced by a hunger growing inside him. He let her go slow, enjoying holding back just a little longer.

As the last button on his shirt was unbuttoned, he reached underneath her and lifted her, kissing her on the neck before slowly laying her on the couch. As he leaned down, he let whatever had been building between them these last months take over.

Sometime later, the sun starting to turn the orange of the afternoon, they found themselves lying on the couch, Jonathen slowly stroking her hair. He let out a content breath. Not an unwelcomed start to his vacation whatsoever..

Fully content and relaxed, Kalique enjoyed how he stroked her hair while she laid on his bare chest, eyes closed. The orange sun tickled her skin through the window, shedding a beautiful warm light on the room.

After a while she glanced up, a smirk tugging at her lips as she amusedly remarked, "Okay we made it to one room. If we continue at this pace it will take us the whole stay to explore the rest". She then leaned up to meet his lips again, planting a sweet, tender kiss onto them before she climbed down, gathering her clothes and slipping back in.

As much as she had enjoyed that outlet of everything that had remained bottled up until then, she was afraid he was not only more exhausted now but also hungry. "What would you say about me showing you the kitchen? Are you feeling hungry?". She sat down next to him, gently taking his hand and running her thumb across the back of it.

He lay with his eyes closed, perfectly happy to stay there until he was dragged away. He drifted into a perfect place of sleep and consciousness.

He cracked his eyes open when she finally stirred. "Sounds like a great vacation to me.." he whispered with a smile. He held her as she leaned up, kissing him. He let out a low rumbling sound of contentment before she finally pulled away and stood.

He lifted an arm and slipped it behind his head, propping himself up slightly. He admired her for a moment as she stood and dressed. When she returned to the couch, he gave her a tired smile. He finally sat up as she grasped his hand. There was more here than just the release of passion. He had genuine affection for her that warmed his entire being.

"Who am I to argue with the tour guide," he said, squeezing her hand slightly. "Plus, food sounds amazing.." he replied, his stomach stirring, reminding him he had only had a small bag of peanuts today.

She began to realize how tiredness slowly crept back into him and as he also hadn't eaten yet, she intended to help him with both. They'd prepare food, eat and then she could end the tour in the master's bedroom. As much as decelerating the tour like she had playfully suggested it sounded tempting, they could still continue tomorrow and let him get settled today.

She didn't miss how he admired her, yet she took her sweet time before adjusting the dress correctly. She could then however literally hear his stomach rumble and thus after giving him another sweet, however now short kiss, she nodded her head towards the second door, the one they hadn't used earlier.

She let him dress as well before she'd retake his hand and keep it in hers as she led him through the white, winged door so that they'd find themselves in the vast ground floor kitchen. Even though her parents almost never cooked themselves, the room was fully furnished with modern kitchen equipment and devices that would allow them to use everything to their hearts content.

"I have bought some stuff, so we could actually could something together, however we don't have to" she found the idea rather sweet, picturing them doing something so perfectly mundane for once and he also had to prove his skills after having been so confident about beating the frog which immediately made her smirk again.

"We can also just order something and lean back though or I do the cooking". She'd also be fine with that, as it would allow him to rest already. "As long as there's no frog in your bag I'm fine with anything". She stopped in the middle of the room, hoping onto the counter and pulling him close, her legs wrapped around him. "I'll leave it to you", she softly whispered, her hands affectionately cupping his cheeks as she gazed into his beautiful eyes.

He walked with her into the kitchen, which felt bigger than his apartment back on Raxus. He let out a quiet whistle. "Now, this is a kitchen," he said. They moved to the center island, and Kalique sat down. He rested his palms on her coiled legs. There was a familiarity between them that just felt good. They had spent time talking, but he didn't realize how much he had wanted to see and be with her.

"So picky." he said with a look of feigned disappointment before he let out a sigh. "..But you're in luck. The customs officer didn't let me on the planet with frogs," he said with a shrug. "Guess we will just have to do without this time," he said with a smile.

He tapped a finger on her leg. "Though us cooking together sounds like a great idea," he said. He gently lifted her off the counter and kissed her before letting her down.

Jon walked to the refrigerator and opened the doors. "Let's see...what should we cook..." he spoke aloud as he scanned its contents.

Despite being used to his sarcasm, she was actually considering that he had tried bringing an actual frog just for the laughter, but in the end she decided he was bluffing. "I can't help it...it's the noble blood running in my veins. I will never share the love for your favorite dish" she joked, giving him and apologetic smile before a devious idea was suddenly shaped in her mind that even made her smirk more.

"Perfect". Happy with his choice, she enjoyed the sweet kiss they shared before he sat her down and when he checked out the fridge, she already grabbed a few pots and pans and other equipment.

"So...since you're the master cook, you pick the ingredients". She smirked while she wondered whether the things she had bought would be enough for any creative, cool dinner ideas he had. She then went over to the media system and started playing something relaxed for a perfect romantic dinner night before she washed her hands. "Feel free to toss me whatever vegetables need some dicing, I shall be your assistant". Her emerald gaze expectantly sparkled, actually excited about getting started.

"Ah yes." he said, adopting his fake noble accent. "The lady shan't be made to feast on the scraps of the common folk." he joked.

He looked through the refrigerator. "Master cook, huh? What if I lied just to impress you back then?" he asked, tone warm as she turned on the music. He finally settled on a fish dish. He pulled the fish out and set it on the counter.

Jon picked out an assortment of vegetables, including carrots, asparagus, and some potatoes, and laid them in front of Kalique. "..You do make a rather lovely assistant, though." he said with a wink.

He also washed his hands, dried them before he started the oven pre-heating, grabbed one of the bowls she had already pulled out, and added oil and some spices.

"So, there is no better place than the kitchen to ask the tough questions!" he said, shooting her grin across the counter. "How you answer these questions, well, it matters..." he said, pausing. "..and you're honestly kind of thin ice already with the frog hate." he winced as he joked.

"First question: You're on a deserted island with three things; what are they?" he asked, his spoon clanking as he mixed the contents of the bowl in front of him before starting to cut the fish.
