After their last shared mission, it felt like an eternity had passed with everything that had happened for the two of them even if it actually hadn't been more than a few weeks. While Jonathen had been right about having to leave his platoon, he had risen into the position of an Imperial Commander. Kalique had been overly happy for him, yet missions had prevented her from congratulating him in real life.
She had stayed in contact via messages though, even after that one momentous day on Columex, but while he had everything to be proud of, she had felt terribly ashamed and disappointed that he had shoved the Imperial Lieutenant which did count as an assault. Ever since, it hadn't only been her rank that he had temporarily lost, but maybe rights and privileges had been taken away from her. She didn't mind that part as she found it just and deserved, yet she had had her thoughts about how Jonathen treated the incident.
The two had shared a lot throughout the time they had known each other and finished various missions that had led them into learning how to blindly trust the other. He had proven that when he had let her into his mind so that she had been able to access the presence that had haunted the town, but she had been afraid he too was more careful once again. It was not like she had really harmed the Lieutenant at all, yet she had used her power to subdue him momentarily and fragile was always a fragile little thing. She was afraid it would change something between them as well and those worries made her nervous when she waited for him on Serenno.
They had spoken about using their little time off to finally see each other again, so after she had paid her family a quick visit, she had short-handedly asked him to come over instead of traveling back to a different system. The mansion was way too much...House Demici was obviously wealthy with the wealth having been in their possession for centuries, but Kalique had never cared about it much and she even found it a little awkward to invite him here into the excessive, ostentious residence on the countryside, far away from her family though. Ever since the slip-up and the consequences that had followed she had trained and trained and finally found herself again after having also taken a little break from spotlight missions, but it had been good to at least check in on her folks before she had chosen to stay in one of their summer residences to be away from the hustle and the bustle.
She had sent the servants that usually kept the gardens groomed and house cleaned off prior to his arrival as she wasn't in need of their services. She hadn't informed her parents so that they could call them back to their estate, but had given them a little time off instead. As it was a warm summer day here, the climate would not only be a harsh contrast to Raxus. She excitedly awaited his arrival on the porch, dressed in a floral, cut off summer dress, instead of a uniform as this was supposed to be a real time off before she'd return to her duties, but she was also still nervous. She had withheld most details from her family, yet something about a guest had slipped and so they had insisted on providing a droid pilot and speeder that would pick him up and drive him towards the mansion.
