During English today we all headed down to the local theater for a, well, annotated version of Shakespeare's play about Macbeth. I loved it. I'd never seen a play in my life before today, and I really enjoyed it. After every scene the actors would stop and discuss what Shakespeare was trying to say through the play and what was happening with the actors, I was probably the only person in my class who appreciated the opportunity to see it, all my mates thought it was garbage.

But yeah, it was terrific to have something like that in my town for me to see.

Kind of a no-brainer question, but does anybody else enjoy Shakespeare's work?

Teacher ruined it. We were only allowed to read the abridged/ written in current english version, and she needed me to explain it to her still. This same teacher also needed me to explain suffixes, and every other story in the class.

How odd, can't be a very qualified teacher then.

Last year the teacher I had for English was making us do grammar corrections to sentences, and I was in 10th Grade last year; that was ridiculous.

This was in 11th grade. We had to learn about nouns and verbs, which she had to ask me about every time for that as well. Terrible class, think it was about teaching her.

At least for the teachers I had at the same school, they didn't have that problem. Though I did have a physics teacher that pronounced nucular rather than nuclear, she did seem competent otherwise but I found it rather strange for her to mispronounce that.

Yup, I was in an adaptation of Merry Wives of Windsor as Caius. I enjoy Shakespear's Roman plays very much and also his sonnets....
