Crix grinned at the bigger Jedi and patted him on the upper arm (or as upper as he could get without jumping) in a light-hearted manner. There hadn't been any harm or foul thankfully and he was just kinda glad that Wurf had managed to avoid getting his fur singed by some droids from the backend of three hundred years ago. The droids were almost as old as Master Voran herself and that was almost unspeakably old in the grand scheme of things!

"Oh yeah then we happy."
he crowed with a wide grin, "Leave the holes being blown open for a different kind of adventure eh?"

Maybe?

He wasn't sure if that worked as a sex joke because of the exploding part but he wasn't going to think too hard about the stress relief jokes he spouted. Keeping themselves devoid of blaster holes was something he was more than up for as well. Taking the holocron from Alex, the Knight eyed the Master with an unusually serious expression on his face.

Reaching out, he popped her lightly on the shoulder with his fist, comparable to a fistbump.

"No pulling an Obi-Wan on us, Master Voran. Everybody lives this time, alright?"

He didn't give her much chance to respond, immediately turning on his heels and taking off down the corridor at a sprint. Using Force Speed was an option but he didn't want to get fully drained in case there was something else blocking their way. Of course, because it was Crix, the door to the hanger bay opened to reveal half a dozen B2 battledroids.

"...and the Force shits in my dinner once again."

Alex smiled softly before Crix took off running. She was developing a soft spot for the cavalier young Jedi. He had come a long way from the reckless Padawan. Oh, Crix had much farther to travel but she was proud of the Jedi he was becoming. She nodded towards Wurfuhlla. “Go on, I’ll be right behind.” She waited for the wookie to start moving before she took off after him. Her mind stayed vigilant while they ran through the ship. The pull on her muscles was starting to ache. None of this had been easy, her reserves were quickly dwindling.

Thankfully, the job back to the hanger was relatively uneventful…she should have known what a terrible sign that was. Crix was standing at the open door to the hangar bay, staring directly at a half dozen B2 battledroids. Alex reacted without thinking. She shoved passed Crix and jumped into the hanger. Her azure lightsaber blade springing to life. She shouted at Crix when she ran past. “Get Wurfuhlla into the shuttle, get it started, and get the ramp down!” He was probably tired of the yelling. Oh well, most got used to it.

The Morellian Jedi jammed herself right between the super battle droids and the ship. They would not have Crix and Wurfuhlla. She poured the Force into every once of her body. Filling her cells with the pure strength of the Light. It would buy Crix enough time to get the shuttle started and the ramp down. He would just need to work fast. Already, she could feel her reactions slowing, her muscles burning with each movement. Alex had pushed past her limits and now the price was coming due. A few bolts strayed alarmingly close. One crashed into the armor around her collar bone. The Force was all that kept her from crying out, the smell of burning metal filling her nostrils. She knew her companions would hurry. They had no choice.

Reaching the hangar, the group of Jedi will find that there were B2 Battle droids waiting for their arrival. It was unexpected but expected at the same time. Wurfuhlla could see the shuttle that would lead them to safety. He just needed to escape quickly. Watching the Jedi Master Voran jump straight into battle she gave the command to get Wurfuhlla to safety. The group would have their orders, and now they must proceed with action and caution. Speed would be their friend in this situation.

"Yes Master!"

Running to the shuttle would be the Padawan Wurfuhlla. B2 Battle droids all over, firing at the large Wookiee Padawan. Deflecting the fire he knew he wouldn't be fast enough to defend every shot as one slipped through. A blaster bolt making contact with his leg. The burning pain filled his leg as he fell to the ground. He would do his best to deflect any other blaster fire coming his way. Hoping and praying that one of the Jedi were able to help him in time of desperation.

Should he not be helped, this may very well be the end of Wurfuhlla.

B2 battle-droids were not something to be sniffed at but Crix had fought enough of them on this derelict fleet that he was ready to call it a day on ever fighting them again. The damned things were strong enough to tank some damage and they could inflict it pretty well too. Thankfully it seemed that Alex was ready and willing to do most of the heavy lifting and that left Crix and Wurfuhlla with the responsibility of getting back to the ship.

Naturally, the droids objected to their continuous existence and several dozen shots were fired not just at himself but at Wurfuhlla as well.

Throwing himself between the Wookiee Padawan and the incoming fire, Crix pushed both his body and his connection to the Force to the limit - his lightsaber swung in clean, precise, arcs to maximize the amount of cover he could effectively provide. After weathering the initial volley, he too a deep breath as they prepared a second one.

Wurfhulla had already been hit before he could get there and things looked grim. But he was not letting anyone die on this mission - not on his mission.

Never again.

With a wordless roar of effort, he flung his left hand forward, slamming several of the B2 droids backward against the wall with enough force to shatter their frames. Thrusting his hand out to one side he swept away the others with the Force even as he felt his head aching and his vision beginning to swim. On slightly unsteady feet, he placed a hand on Wurfuhlla to hurry him along to the nearby ship.

"That's just about enough of this ship for one lifetime, wouldn't you agree?"

Fear and pain rang out in the Force. Her eyes shot to Wurfuhlla as the young Padawan struggled to stay standing. Alex did not panic. She was too old and too well trained to allow fear to rule her heart. Concern did rapidly tinge her vision. The super battle droids continued to pour at her. She was stretching thin. Alex’s mind sought for a solution, but Crix acted. In a stunning display of heroism, the Jedi Knight flung himself between the droids and Wurfuhlla. Crix was working the Force before Alex could even more. She felt the strain on his body. The Force was ever their ally, but it came at a price. The Light would come when called, even if it killed you to do so. The Force was quickly burning through Crix.

Alex watched as he roared to hurl the droids back. The wookie and Zabrak quickly hobbling towards the ship. Wurfuhlla was in immense pain and Crix was at the absolute point of exhaustion. Crix’s actions had been heroic. Ultimately, both of them remained her responsibility. Her gaze settled on the Jedi. She shook her head. Well, they would have to forgive her this indiscretion. “Fuck this.” Mirroring her younger counterpart, Alex pulled on every ounce of her remaining strength. The Light blazed in her like a forest fire. The full strength of a Jedi Councilor. It was all she had left.

Alex’s left hand reached out, her mind searching for moisture in the air. She found it. Her hand became a fist while she asked that moisture for a very simple request. Freeze. The energy was sapped from the air around the battle droids. The air freezing in an instant. Suddenly, the droids were surrounded by ice as impenetrable as durasteel. She shoved sending them cascading back in their frozen prisons. Alex’s own legs began to wobble. She spun to face Crix and Wurhulla, gently wrapping them in the Force and place them on the lowering shuttle ramp. The Morellian Master quickly joining them.

“I think that’s enough near-death experiences for one day.” Once they were all safely inside, she radioed for the astromech to start takeoff procedures. “Wurfuhlla, keep pressure on that. Crix, don’t pass out. I’m flying us out of here…I’ll come back as soon as we’re in hyperspace.” She patted them both before heading to the cockpit. In short order they were finally free of the hanger, racing towards much needed safety. Jedi Mikko having found safety in an escape pod. The holocron hummed in the back of her mind. Well done.
